The Benefits of Building a Strong Relationship with God

Peace ValleyWhen you build a close relationship with God, you begin to see things through his eyes. It is a bond that is forged in love and nurtured through continual communication and trust. By stepping back and putting your complete faith in God and the outcome of all of your affairs, you are inviting him into your life with loving trust and friendship. As your relationship deepens, you begin to see how God truly does oversee your growth as a soul and how he steers your course as you navigate your way through this lifetime.

Great Plans
God already knows what your goals are and what you are to accomplish while you are here. That was carefully planned with your consent before you were born on this Earth. Your destiny includes a series of soul contracts that define the lessons that you are to learn. How you accomplish them, and if you do, is entirely up to you. Awareness of your contracts, as well as the knowledge that you have gained from a multitude of lifetimes, is masked by the ego when you are born. One of the tasks that we have as a spiritual being on a human journey is to break through the veil that appears to separate us from that knowledge and the universal truths that are accessible through soul communication.

Mistakes can be Beneficial
As we live our lives every day, God lovingly watches over us. He knows the paths our lives are taking and the effects of the choices we make, as well as the best way for us to go. He sees when we deviate from that path. He exerts his power with a loving hand to guide us back to the paths that are in line with our soul plans. As a Spirit in human form, we become frustrated when we see ourselves or others going down a path that will ultimately cause more pain. With God, he views our errors and mistakes as learning lessons. It is beneficial for us to view our setbacks and missteps in the same way. God extends great love and compassion toward our souls. We give ourselves the greatest gift of kindness and love when we extend the same courtesy toward ourselves and others.

Free Will and the Effects of the Ego
As our Creator and heavenly parent, God wants what is best for us. He also knows that as his children, we must be free to make our own choices in order to exist and grow as a spiritual being. That is why we have the gift of free will. Mistakes and errors are as much a part of the process as our greatest achievements. One of the most important aspects of our soul evolvement is to stretch ourselves beyond what we perceive to be our boundaries and limitations. To do that, we need to find the courage that is stored within ourselves to overcome the effects of the ego.

On Earth, we have been given the ego as a part of our human existence. It is the negative voice that challenges our decisions by injecting counterproductive thoughts into our heads. This is the voice of fear that impregnates our mind with doubts and worries. That voice was placed within our minds as a challenge to be overcome. When we elected to come down to Earth to live this lifetime, we did so in order to speed up the evolution of our souls. In Heaven, ego and fear do not exist. We learn lessons for the evolvement of our souls; however, it is from a completely different perspective.

We cannot escape from the ego while on Earth but we can learn to manage it, work with it, and minimize its negative effects. Recognition and acknowledgement of the negative thoughts and fears as an illusion is the first step in negating its effects. When you know within your heart that it is only a mechanism that is meant to challenge you, you can face it with positive determination and thoughts that override its influence.

It is a lifelong challenge to learn how to manage the ego because the ego only disappears completely when our physical bodies expire. However, managing its effects becomes easier over time if you work diligently to recognize its encroachment upon your happiness. We are not meant to live a life of misery, but one of joy and happiness. Our dreams are achievable in this lifetime. The only thing that holds us back are the illusions of fear that are planted there by our egos.

He is with You Always
You are not alone on your journey. God is there to oversee and lovingly direct your path. The best way to hear him is to invite him into your life. Speak with him, pray to him and with him, share your thoughts and your gratitude, ask for guidance, and be open to his answers. God resides within you. He does not punish you with seemingly negative situations. Some circumstances are part of a soul contract while others are the result of how we treat ourselves and others. Negative thoughts and actions ripple across the Earth, causing reactions and events that directly affect our lives. God sees this happening. He intervenes when it is appropriate for him to do so. There are times when lessons need to be learned. At those times, it may seem as though he is not listening or that he is punishing you with hurtful or painful situations. You might even ask “Why doesn’t he save me from this experience?” He may not be removing you from it because, if he did, it may hamper your growth as a soul and hurt you more in the long run.

When you feel that you are in need of assistance, call on God to help you get through the tough situations you face and be open to his guidance. The Archangels are there for you, too. Still the fears within yourself by embracing the love of God and know that he will ensure the best outcome for you. It may not be the outcome you had hoped and prayed for, but then again, maybe it will. Remain calm and feel the peace within your heart that is given with grace to you by God. His love permeates your being at all times. When you push past the negativity of the ego, you can feel love in its purest form. It is a glorious feeling of divine joy that is almost overwhelming in its power. When you experience it, you will know that it is sent to you directly from God.

Enjoy Your Life
As you build your relationship with God, your trust and faith are rewarded with spiritual strength, love, knowledge, and peace. As a result, you may find yourself emulating the very characteristics that God displays toward you, including a significant capacity to extend love, forgiveness, understanding, and compassion toward yourself and others.

My heart has found great peace through my relationship with God and it has transformed my life in ways I never even dreamed were possible. Share your love with God today and let him into your heart. In this way, you can experience the beauty and benefits of your divine relationship with God, our Creator, for yourself.

Recognizing when a Problem is not Your Responsibility

Butterfly with Broken WingThere are situations that you will encounter in which it seems as though you are powerless to lend a hand. When facing a dilemma such as this, you can share your love, an empathetic ear, and your kindness. Gifts of the heart can have a profound effect on those that are struggling with life-altering decisions and emotionally painful conditions.

Choices that are Not Yours to Make
No matter how much you want to help someone, there are times when the only help you can offer comes from the heart. This may be because the choices that need to be made in the situation are not yours to make. A prime example would be relationship decisions that friends or relatives need to act upon, such as whether the time has come to break-up or divorce. Other examples include tough choices concerning medical conditions and the mental or emotional health of loved ones. It can be challenging to be an observer to someone else’s pain, especially when it seems as though you can do nothing to ease it.

An Important Contribution
As an observer of a difficult situation that your loved ones are experiencing, you can offer your love, kindness, your listening skills, and prayers. This kind of support can be an invaluable source of positive energy that is not only needed, but also desired. Advice and insight can also be offered; however, the person receiving it may or may not be receptive to it. This may be because he or she is having a hard time incorporating a new perspective. Stubbornness, a strong desire to control outcomes, lack of trust, or an ingrained sense of loyalty are often obstacles to a person’s ability to move beyond a problem. Moreover, even if you offer advice, it may not be an appropriate fit for the situation at hand because you may not be privy to all of the details. Do your best to avoid taking offense if your loved one does not utilize your well-meaning solutions because, ultimately, each person is responsible for his or her own choices. We all must live with the consequences of the decisions that we make. As an alternative to dispensing advice, try listening with empathy and allowing the person to talk about his or her feelings. This may be enough to help him or her to relieve some of the pressure surrounding the situation that is causing the angst.

Love Heals
Do your best not to underestimate or minimize the effect and power of love. Its positive energy can heal a broken heart, provide hope for the future, and offer comfort to those who are experiencing pain. Love is shared and communicated with one another through the heart of our soul. You can send that positive energy to your loved ones with your thoughts and prayers, as well as with physical expressions, such as a hug or soothing touch.

Even when it seems as though there is little that you can offer to someone who is struggling or suffering, remember that love is one of the best gifts that you can give…and it is an energy that you have an infinite supply of to share.

The Beauty and Messages in Music

Messages in MusicWhen we hear music, it is not a jumble of sounds mashed together but an incredible blending of sounds designed to reach out and touch our souls. Music is a powerful emotional stimulator. It can make us laugh, cry, want to dance, etc. Moviemakers use it all the time to stir our emotions while watching a film. Music speaks to our souls. Spirit works with musicians as invisible muses, inspiring and sharing musical scores and lyrics with artists to send messages to the world. All music, whether it is joyful or sad, speaks to the soul.

Every day, we hear songs on the radio, jingles on TV, soundtracks from movies, streaming from the Internet, someone singing a song as they walk down the street, and in our mind. The songs may seem random; however, at times, they carry messages of import from the Other Side.

Did you ever have a song come on the radio that matches exactly what you were thinking at that very moment or that expresses exactly how you feel about a particular situation in your life? Is it a coincidence or is it Spirit sending you a message? Because I am very aware of Spirit and the way they send messages, I know it is our Heavenly Support Teams at work. They do this for you, too, which is why I am sharing this information with you. That way, you, too, can share in the wonderful experience of recognizing when Spirit is touching your life and sending you personal messages.

When you have a song that is playing in your head, have you ever wondered why you are hearing it? The song, as well as the lyrics, may be providing you with an answer to a problem you are experiencing or it may be a deceased loved one who is letting you know that they are near.

Listen to what you are hearing as there may be a message in it for you. The song may bring up memories of a particular time of year (which may be your answer as to when an event will occur or your problem will be resolved) or it may be providing you with an actual answer to your problem. Songs also may turn your thoughts toward memories of a deceased loved one. For instance, when I hear the Beatles’ song “Michelle” in my head, I know that my best friend, Michele, who passed away more than two decades ago, is nearby and sending me her love. At other times, when I was struggling with a particularly vexing issue, I would hear “All You Need Is Love.” That one always makes me smile and helps me to get back to what really matters, the giving and receiving of love.

It is important to note that music that carries hateful or violent messages are not a sign or message from Spirit, but a reflection of souls who have not yet seen the light. The deep angst and anger that causes musicians to compose that kind of music represents the darkness that could take over our lives if we do not strive to overcome the negative messages of ego that are based on the illusion of fear.

By becoming more aware of your personal soundtrack of music, that which you hear in your mind or that drifts into your ears at just the right time, will enable you to better recognize the auditory messages and signs from Spirit that you have been receiving all along.

Coping with the Loss of a Loved One

Into the LightWhen loved ones cross over into Heaven, it can be a painful emotional experience for those who are left behind. We grieve because we miss the physical closeness of the person or pet whose presence made a difference in our lives. In essence, they are continuing on a spiritual journey that we cannot take with them because we are meant to stay here on earth and fulfill our own life purposes.

The feeling of loss can be devastating and heart-wrenching. Trying to continue on with our lives may be difficult as grief threatens to overwhelm our emotional well being. Grief is a natural feeling that accompanies loss; however, grief can be lessened with knowledge. Knowing that our Spirit does not die with our physical bodies lessens the pain of physical separation from our loved ones and changes our perceptions of the “finality” of death.

I am amazed every day with the communications that come through from Spirit. As a Spirit Medium, I know that this is not a residual energy of the person or pet who was here on earth, but an actual transmission of information in real time. They show me what they are doing in Heaven whether it is reuniting with loved ones who have already crossed or engaging in activities that bring them happiness.

Learning and evolving as a soul continues in Heaven. The lessons there are different than they are here on Earth. That is because the environment is completely different. On Earth, there is a lot of negativity and harder lessons to learn. The speed at which our soul evolves is much faster here on Earth due to the challenging circumstances we face. In Heaven, we thoughtfully review the lives that we have lived and determine the lessons we have learned and still need to learn. We embrace the knowledge that was veiled from us on Earth with compassion and understanding for ourselves and others. Anxiety is a thing of the past. From the communications I have received, Heaven is a not just a time to rest in joyful reunion, but also a time to make considerable contributions to all Spirit through meaningful jobs that assist those in Heaven and on Earth. For instance, one may choose to become a Guardian Angel or a Spirit Guide.

By knowing that our Spirit lives on, we can take comfort in knowing that death is not the end but a new beginning…the next phase of our journey and evolvement as a soul. For those here on Earth, the connection of the heart that our loved ones have with us never dies. In fact, it is the love that we hold in the heart of our Spirit that endures and allows communication to continue.

When confronted with the loss of a loved one from this Earth, take comfort in knowing that their Spirit lives on in Heaven and that, when the designated time of your passing arrives, you will be reunited with them. In the meantime, we have our own soul evolvement to attend to on Earth including learning how to release the grief of separation and to move forward with our lives, taking comfort in the love that resides in the heart of our Spirits.

Receiving Messages from Spirit Using the Five Clairs

To communicate with us, Spirit utilizes our five main senses, as well as our databank of memories. All of us, not just Mediums, can be receivers of messages from Spirit. It is a matter being open and receptive to the messages that are being sent, as well as a well-developed intuitive sense, that allows you to recognize them.

As with Mediums, you may be naturally stronger with the receipt of messages through certain senses than with others. For example, you may be more visually-oriented than feeling-oriented. After you have explored your natural abilities and gifts, you can begin to work on improving your skills with the rest.

SensesBrief Definitions and Examples of the Five Clairs

Clairvoyance
Clairvoyance is the visual receipt of information from Spirit. This occurs when we see Spirit or signs from Spirit. For those with this gift, we actually see Spirit manifested or images (motion or still) sent by Spirit in our mind’s eye, also known as the Third Eye. Visual messages from Spirit can also include signs in this world that let you know that Spirit is near. Some of the more common and easy to spot include finding coins on the ground, seeing butterflies or dragonflies, finding feathers, etc. These are signs from our Angels (feathers are their favorites) and deceased loved ones that they are around us.

Clairaudience
Messages received through our sense of hearing are called Clairaudient communications or Clairaudience. This type of communication can be in the voice of Spirit, or it can come through in your own voice. It can also be messages that come through as music or other sounds. There is a knowing, a utilization of your intuition, that indicates to you that this is a message from Spirit and not just a random thought. Spirit may send auditory messages that guide us to be in a particular place at a particular time or to interview for a particular job. With music, it may be the lyrics that are important or that it was a favorite song. Please note that Spirit will never guide you to do something harmful or completely out of character for you. Know that Spirit is there to help you, not harm you or cause you to harm others. They work through Love and anything unloving is not them.

Clairsentience
When you feel the presence of Spirit either physically or receive emotional signals, it is referred to as Clairsentience. For example, when I give readings, I feel slight pain or heaviness in my chest when Spirit is indicating to me that they had a heart attack or problem with their heart while they were here on earth. This information is called a validation and it is used as an indicator to identify who it is that is coming through for you. It is important to note that as a trained Medium, I am very aware of the difference between what is my pain and what is Spirit’s. If you are experiencing unexplained pain, I would recommend that you get it checked out by a physician. Other physical sensations may include the feeling of a depression on the bed in the size and shape of your beloved pet that has passed on.

You may also feel the emotions of Spirit, such as a strong sense of love or happiness. In addition, I often experience/feel the personality traits of Spirit when they come through in a reading, such as eagerness, shyness, or exuberance.

Clairvalience
Spirit also sends us messages through our sense of smell. This is called Clairalient communication or Clairalience. Have you ever been somewhere when you suddenly smelled cookies baking or someone’s perfume or cologne and there was no logical source for that scent to be in the air? Who is it that you are reminded of when you pick up those scents? It is exactly who you think it is, be it your mother, grandmother, father, friend, spouse, etc.

Clairvoyance
Clairambience is the receipt of messages through the sense of taste. It works in a manner similar to Clairalience, when you can actually taste a food, such as an orange, or another substance, such as the bitter taste of certain medications, without it actually being in your mouth. I do experience this; however, it is not as prevalent as the other four Clairs in my readings.

Abilities and Gifts

All of us are born with the ability to communicate with Spirit, whether it is in simple or complex ways. As with all gifts, some people have stronger abilities than others. For instance, while I can play golf, it does not mean that I will win the LPGA or even become a pro, no matter how many lessons I take or how much I practice. It does mean, however, that I can enjoy the game. It is the same with psychic and mediumship gifts. Some of you may have enough of the gifts to enjoy them, while others of you may be or become strong vessels for the receipt and interpretation of Spirit messages. No matter what your level of ability, if Spirit is meant to communicate with you, they will, whether it is directly with you or with the assistance of a Medium.

Spirit is always around us. They take great joy in knowing that their messages have been received. I hope you enjoy your exploration of the Clairs. Keep in mind that you can always ask your Angels for help and guidance with the development of your gifts and abilities.

Reasons for Being

Peaceful SanctuaryThe theme that emerged from
Spirit this week revolved around life lessons and the reason why certain people enter into our lives.

We come here to this Earth to learn lessons that will help our souls to evolve. We choose what lessons we will learn before we are born into this world; however, the way in which the situations will come about are yet to be determined. While we are making these decisions, members of our soul group, as well as others, volunteer to help with certain lessons and you volunteer to help with theirs. This is what is known as a soul contract.

Certain people enter our lives to help us fulfill our soul contracts. For instance, someone may opt to pass away at the age of 27 in order to help members of their soul group to learn how to cope with tragedy, as well to understand that death is not the end of the Spirit because the love that connects us never dies.

Others may help us to learn to overcome the fear that holds us back from realizing our dreams. Most soul contracts involve a complex set of lessons that serve multiple purposes for multiple people. When we are born, the knowledge and awareness that we had about the contracts we made in Heaven is obscured from us. This is because it is part of our journey as a soul; to rediscover the reasons why we are here. The more we seek out the depth and breadth of this knowledge, the more in tune we are with our life purposes and can more readily see the lessons that we are learning and sharing.

Free will always plays a role in whether or not the lessons you have chosen to learn will be completed. That is why the way in which they come into your life is left to be decided by your choices. If you chose not to learn a particular lesson, whether consciously or subconsciously, it will come back to you repeatedly in this lifetime. For instance, if fear is blocking you from manifesting your dreams, situations will come up that will help to teach you about overcoming your fears such as conversations with others, books that you read, etc. (Note: The Angels and God are continuously giving you the tools you need to succeed with your soul’s evolvement. It is your choice whether or not to listen.) The time will come for you to put what you have learned into action. If you succeed, you will move forward onto the next lesson. If you do not, it will prevent you from moving forward in your life.

A prime example of this may be in someone you know, it may even be yourself. This person seems to struggle and be stuck in a pattern, whether it be harmful relationships, addictions, negative thinking, etc. This person is struggling within themselves and is having a hard time overcoming a particular lesson. People who are in this situation require compassion, even if it is challenging to give that to them. They should not be looked down upon just because they have not learned a lesson. Instead, send them love and kindness in prayer or help them if you can. Please know, though, that it is ultimately their decision about whether or not they want to move forward with their life. You cannot control them and they cannot control you.

This may be a good week for taking a look at your own life and the lessons you have learned. Take some quiet time to assess your achievements and to look forward to the ones that are to come.
