This interactive course provides in-depth information about Reiki 2 energy healing for those who are interested in administering Reiki to others on a personal or professional level.

In Karen’s Level 2 workshop, you will learn how to conduct Reiki energy healing sessions for recipients in seated and prone positions, as well as across distances and in situations in which targeted application is appropriate. Discussions will include ethical responsibilities, advanced healing techniques, intermediate level symbology, and best practices for Reiki practitioners.

Releasing the Past through Forgiveness

Whether it is painful events in the recent past or from as far back as childhood, emotional, mental, and spiritual trauma can be released from your spirit through forgiveness of the person or people involved, including yourself.

Complex Decisions and Challenging Situations

As spiritual beings on a human journey, we decided to live a lifetime on this earth to learn lessons that will enable us to grow as souls. Many of the lessons we have chosen require complex decisions and challenging situations that can have a significant impact on the evolvement of not only our souls, but also on the souls of others. Because we are in a stage of learning, and are not all-knowing beings, mistakes will be made. It is important to forgive each other for the mistakes we make and to look beyond the pain to the lessons that are built into the situations we encounter on a daily basis.

Reasons and Choices

In order for our souls to evolve to a clearer understanding of the reasons for our existence, it is necessary to face challenges that make us question and think about our self-worth, our relationships and connections with others, and whether or not there really is a higher power that guides us.  The reason you experience tragic, sad, or disheartening events is not to drag you down, but to give you a choice. You can choose to let these situations mire you in negativity and self-pity, or you can choose to see the blessings and lessons that God and the Angels are assisting you with in order to open your heart, mind, and spirit to the truth that exists within your soul.

Why It Is Beneficial to Forgive

Forgiveness is an acknowledgement and a release of actions from the past that caused harm to yourself or others. Extending forgiveness does not mean that you are condoning the behavior that caused you or others harm. It means that you have come to terms with the situation and have made a conscious decision to release its hold on you. By recognizing that these events served a very important purpose in your soul evolvement, you can also learn how to express gratefulness for the lessons you learned. In order to do that though, you must be able to look beyond the pain in order to see how you were given the opportunity to grow as a soul. The rewards you receive for perceiving the patterns and lessons behind traumatizing events includes amazing enlightenment about yourself, others, and the universe as a whole, as well as a realization that these events were necessary steps toward achieving your dreams in this lifetime. It is important to note that you do not have to be in someone’s presence in order to forgive them. You can extend forgiveness in your heart and mind by sending forgiving thoughts toward the situation and the people involved. Our connection in spirit with one another allows the messages to be received by the spirit of the person you are forgiving. The people that are here on earth may or may not be consciously aware of your message of forgiveness; however, the spirit that resides within them will have received and acknowledged the forgiveness you have extended.

What Happens When You Refuse to Forgive

Holding grudges, anger, and pain inside of yourself hurts you. Those negative emotions and thoughts prevent you from moving forward and draw toward you more unfortunate circumstances. When you are focused on the lower energies produced by fear and anger, you are dragging down your own energy. This will attract more situations to you that are harmful. By choosing to release negative emotions, you are releasing their hold on you. This will lighten your energetic load and free you up to attract more positive experiences in your life. Keep in mind that how you live your life is your choice. Whether you decide to remain mired in misery or rise above the challenges you face, it is the gift of free will that gives you the option to choose the path that you take. If you need help extending forgiveness, you can ask the Archangels for assistance. They will help you to release the negativity and heal the pain that you have been carrying.

Repetition May Be Necessary

Even after you have extended forgiveness, there may be times when a situation appears in your life which will bring to the surface old pain and remembrances of harmful situations. When this happens, you can extend forgiveness again and visualize the situation and the people involved as healed.

Setting Yourself Free

As you make the choice to free yourself from the past, you are also making the choice to open yourself up to love and more positive experiences. Your spirit will be lighter, and you may even feel as though a physical weight has been lifted from your body. Enjoy the benefits and freedom that comes from releasing your past, and shift your focus to the present, which is full of gifts and opportunities for making positive choices regarding your life path. Do the Energies of our Loved Ones in Spirit Remain within Objects They Owned or within Photographs?

Psychometry, which is the ability to retrieve information about beings and events through the touching of an object, can be performed by Spirit Mediums, who communicate soul-to-soul with beings in spirit. The ability works through the energy stored within an object by the being who used it, whether living or deceased.

A World of Energy

Everything in existence is comprised of energy. As we go through our daily lives, we encounter the energies of others and emit our own. The transference of energy from person-to-person can occur easily within certain circumstances, such as when we are emotionally moved by a theatrical performance or concert, when we are sharing a joyful moment with family or friends, or when we are experiencing a situation which causes negative emotions to emerge. Energy transference can also occur from people to objects and objects to people. For example, when you enter a particular building, such as a home or workplace, there is a vibe or overall feeling you can receive about the premises. This is coming from energy stored in the objects and location from the people who occupied the space in the past or the present. Energy transfers also occur with objects kept in very close proximity to a person or animal. Jewelry, watches, glasses, cellphones, well-used furniture (e.g., favorite chair or bed), pet collars, pet beds, and pet toys usually maintain strong storage of the energy of a being because they are kept close to the body. More mundane objects, such as checkbooks, cologne or perfume bottles, or wall calendars, do not contain a lot of stored energy because even though they were used often, they were not in repetitive close contact with the person or animal.

How Psychometry Works

When a spirit medium touches or holds an object with the specific intention of retrieving information about a person or pet, they are using their extrasensory senses to tap into the energies stored within the object. When doing this with an object which belongs to a person or animal who is deceased, they can also connect with the soul of the being to receive communications. The process starts with the retrieval of information stored within the object which can reveal scenes, emotions, and events from the past. They then ask the being in spirit who is connected to the object if they would like to share communications with the person who provided the object. If they do decide to step up to communicate, which most of the time they do, even more information is transmitted from the being in spirit about their life, including but not limited to, who they were in life, activities they participated in, memories of events, how they passed, and much more. Once the connection is established with the person or animal in spirit, and the person or recipient of the reading who brought the object to the spirit medium confirms or validates the identity of the deceased loved one, then the spirit medium asks the being in spirit what messages they would like to share. The messages are transmitted in the same way the information from the past was sent, which includes the use of all the extrasensory senses of clear seeing, feeling, hearing, tasting, smelling, and knowing.

Cleansing of Energy from Objects or Locations

There are cases in which locations and objects can store a tremendous amount of negative energies from emotionally charged events or troubling circumstances, such as violent encounters or people who experienced great distress or despair. The objects and locations can be cleansed of these energies in a variety of ways; however, at the same time, it can also remove important historical information which can provide valuable insights into events from the past. The information, if cleansed, can sometimes be retrieved but it is much more challenging to do so because the spirit medium would need to dig below the layer of cleansing and reach out in spirit to those who were affected by the tragedies to piece together the circumstances. One of the most effective ways to cleanse an object or location of negative or unwanted energies is to use energy healing, such as Reiki. There are other spiritual or ceremonial actions which can be taken to cleanse a space, including calling upon ancestors, spirit guides, or Archangels. The process can differ across the world depending upon the cultural norms and practices of the location.

Photographs

The process of using photographs to connect with a person or animal in spirit differs from psychometry because it does not involve the retrieval of energy or information from an object. It is a method for spirit mediums to connect with a specific loved one in spirit for a recipient in which the spirit medium requests the presence of the person or animal in the photograph to see if they would like to share communications. Our energies or pieces of our souls are not trapped or contained in the photograph in any way. They are a tool that can be used to create a connection between the spirit medium, the loved one in spirit, and the recipient of a reading.

Are Psychometry or Photographs Necessary to Connect with Loved Ones in Spirit?

Spirit Mediums do not need objects or photographs to communicate with loved ones in spirit. Those in spirit will come forward on their own to communicate during a reading because they orchestrated the events which brough the spirit medium and recipient together. The use of objects or photos can be employed as tools to assist with a direct connection with a specific loved one in spirit; however, they are not required or necessary.

Ghosts and Spirits – Should They be Feared or Embraced?

Ghosts and spirits have a job. It is not, as many believe, to frighten or harm us, but rather to remind us that there is more to this universe than our small earthly world. Experiences with ghosts and spirits are one of the methods utilized by our Heavenly Support Teams to expand our thoughts beyond the mundane on earth to that which exists beyond the ordinary experiences we have each day.

Fears Fuel the Imagination

Some people are afraid of the unknown and automatically express fear at experiencing anything out of the ordinary. That fear multiplies and imaginations go wild to the point where people think ghosts are coming after them with the intent to do harm. Allowing your fears to overtake you has the potential to escalate and amplify them. Also, when we are taken by surprise, our survival instincts kick in, shooting adrenaline throughout our bodies. The quick influx of adrenaline triggers an alert throughout our systems for potential dangers. This does not mean that true dangers exist, though. It is more of a startle reflex in which all of the senses are heightened, meaning that anything we see, such as a flash of light, or hear, such as a twig breaking, are amplified. When fear takes over, these experiences can seem ominous.

Mischievous But Not Harmful

Spirits can be mischievous, especially if they liked having fun when they were alive on earth. Just as God uses the soul evolvement of the living to fulfill soul contracts, God also employs those in spirit who are on different levels of soul evolvement to help those on earth. For instance, a friend of mine in spirit likes to “borrow” objects from my house, only to return them two weeks later in the vicinity in which they disappeared. My friend’s mischievous fun is characteristic of his personality and his antics taught me valuable lessons about objects transported between dimensions. In addition to borrowing objects, spirits can utilize energy to move items, pipe scents into the air, blink lights, and freeze up electronic objects like cellphones, your cable box, and more.  At times, spirits like to revisit places that were important to their lives – whether they were positive or negative experiences. Deep emotional connections with people, places, and objects are what attract spirits to particular locations. They love to connect with us and communicate their histories or messages of import.

Powerful Illusions

It is very important to note that I have never encountered any being in spirit who was intent on harming me. While beings in spirit employ interesting tactics for capturing my attention, they have never brought me harm. To me reports of demons and demonic encounters are tricks of the mind based on emotional fears of the unknown. One of the topics I write about in my book, How Have You Loved?, is how fear can create powerful illusions that seem real. We can bring fearful thoughts to life if we give them power. For instance, when visiting a Halloween hayride or haunted house, people can become truly frightened by the actors, props, and scenery, even though they know it is all an illusion. The same is true when people are experiencing unexplained phenomenon. The first thoughts may be that “demons” must be present. TV shows and movies have added a lot of confusion and misinformation about how beings in spirit are perceived because they play into the fear factor for sensationalism. More often than not, it is often our loved ones in spirit who are there to help us with their love and support.

Energetic Impressions

When people report seeing spirits or ghosts performing the same actions over and over again, it is often left over energy that plays like a recording. There is no interaction with this type of ghost because it is not the actual spirit but something akin to a hologram. This type of phenomena occurs in locations where this being experienced strong emotional reactions to events. An energetic impression of what they were doing at the time of the event is left behind, which can sometimes be seen, felt, or heard by those whose who are sensitive to extrasensory energies.

What You Can Do When You Encounter a Spirit

When you are experiencing other-worldly visits, my best advice is for you to relax. It is most likely one of your loved ones in spirit that is stopping by to say hello. If you are visiting a historic location or see people in spirit you do not recognize, such as a man, woman or child dressed in period clothing, I recommend relaxing and viewing the situation from a place of curiosity and compassion. Your ability to see, feel, hear, taste or smell communications from spirits your openness to their light, love, and helpful energies.

If you do not wish to communicate with spirits, you can let them know that by thinking it or saying it out loud. There is no need to raise your voice or be rude. Simply state it in a matter of fact way and ask them to leave you alone. If you feel the need for extra assistance, call on Archangel Michael to protect you and remove them from your presence. Most of the time, though, spirits want to communicate a message that will help you or someone else. If you are having experiences with spirit often, or would like to know more about how spirits communicate, I highly recommend that you learn about it. There are many dependable resources from professional spirit mediums that will help you to understand more about the world of spirit. You can increase your knowledge through books, classes, and workshops.

Much can be Learned from Spirits

From the ancient peoples of the past to the people of today, there has been a cultural connection with the world of spirits. The fascination people have with ghosts and spirits is no mistake. It is a fascinating way of keeping our minds open to that which exists beyond life on earth. It also reminds us of our history, including people’s stories and experiences on earth, as their presents gets people talking and thinking on a soul level.  There is no coincidence in the uptick of interest in ghosts and other-worldly beings. It represents the pivotal awakening of the world to spiritual matters. Not everyone will wake up to the gifts within them in this lifetime; however, more and more people will be guided toward a spiritual path in an effort to bring more light and love to this planet. This movement toward the spiritual aspects of our existence has the potential to usher in more peace on earth through personal contentment, knowledge, and universal understanding.

Much can be learned from ghosts and spirits. They hold information from the past, the present, and the future, as well as information about life after death and the universe. There is no need to fear them, as they are in our midst to teach us about our souls, as well as all that exists beyond life on earth. Namaste!

What Our Pets Do in Heaven

When our beloved pets cross over into Heaven, they are greeted by the angels and our loved ones in spirit, as well as their kin who are in Heaven. As with people in Heaven, they are provided much comfort and love and are free from all physical pain and discomfort they may have suffered from prior to their passing.

During readings, in which they share information about their lives in a manner similar to people in spirit, animals often show me themselves in the prime of their lives in Heaven. They share images of themselves delightfully enjoying favorite activities they were characteristically known for on Earth. Some of my favorites have been horses running and kicking up their heels in a beautiful pasture, dogs rolling around on their backs on incredibly soft spring green grass, purring cats curled up near the warmth of a lit fireplace, ferrets tunneling and playing peek-a-boo from underneath a blanket, and parrots cracking open peanuts and enjoying them.

The animals often express strong feelings of love and gratitude for the life they had, as well as glimpses of their lives to bring information that can be matched to them in order to provide healing and comfort to the recipient of the reading.

With Loved Ones in Spirit

When a beloved pet makes its presence known in a reading, it is usually accompanied by a human loved one in spirit. This loved one is either directly connected to the animal or is conveying the message that they are taking care of them in Heaven for the recipient of the reading. The human loved ones in spirit did not need to know this animal while on Earth. For example, I have seen grandfathers and grandmothers in spirit, who have long been in Heaven, holding a cat or dog who just crossed over that belonged to their grandchild on Earth. Our loved ones in spirit, both human and animal, are aware of the events which occur in our lives because they watch over us from Heaven. There is much comfort in knowing they are taking care of our beloved pets in spirit until the time comes when we are reunited with them in Heaven.

Visiting from Heaven

Like people in Heaven, our animals in spirit can and do visit us on Earth. You may catch a glimpse of them out of the corner of your eye, feel their presence, or hear a familiar sound they used to make in life. If you have live pets in your home, they can sense the presence of your pets and people in spirit. When your live pets are staring at the wall or start running around and playing as if someone is playing with them, it is often loved ones in spirit, both human and animal, who are visiting. There are times, too, when a live pet temporarily behaves in ways your pet in spirit behaved. They have not possessed your live pet but have temporarily used them to bring through a memory for you in order to let you know they are around and sending their love.

Jobs in Heaven for Animals

Beyond relaxing and enjoying their time in Heaven, our pets in spirit can also volunteer for jobs. For instance, they can opt to become guardian angels for their loved ones on Earth. They often work in tandem with our human loved ones in spirit and the angels who have volunteered or been assigned to us. As guardian angels, they assist with the job of watching over us and alerting the angels of situations in which we need help. Additionally, when it is time for one of our living animals to cross over into Heaven, our beloved pets in spirit are there to help them cross over and they do their best to bring us comfort from Heaven.

Animals can also help bring healing and companionship to those who need it in Heaven. Not only do they bring companionship to our human loved ones in spirit, but also to people and animals newly arrived in Heaven who would benefit from their loving presence. Scenes have been shared with me of animals providing companionship and unconditional love to people and animals in spirit, especially for those who are receiving healing in the Spiritual Hospital in Heaven. When healing of heart and spirit is needed due to difficulties experienced during a lifetime, souls go to the Spiritual Hospital in which angels help the souls to work through the issues. Our beloved pets in spirit can volunteer to help these souls with their healing process.

All Animals Get Along in Heaven

In Heaven, all animals get along with one another. This is because they are in soul form, rather than in a physical form as they were on Earth. Heaven operates quite differently in that the lack of a physical body means that sustenance for that body is no longer needed. Carnivores do not need to eat meat, which means they are no longer a threat to what would have been their prey on Earth.

Reincarnation and Animals in Human Form

They meet us in Heaven and agree to come down for a lifetime with us. If there is a strong bond, animals can sometimes reincarnate again in your lifetime to join you in a different form and a slightly different way. They often exhibit similar characteristic behaviors of the original beloved pet, yet they also display behaviors that are unique to the new pet. This is because the soul has grown in Heaven which creates new characteristics.

There are times when I have seen animals take on a human form in Heaven. From these viewings, it is my impression that souls can opt to live a lifetime in an animal form on Earth. The reasons for this can vary greatly; however, it is often to allow a soul to spend bonded time with another soul on Earth for a brief lifetime, instead of a longer lifetime in the form of a human soul.

The roles of animals in our lives are amazing and much more than appears to be on the surface. Our beloved pets have strong connections with us, which are formed in Heaven before we are born. They are weaved into our soul contracts to help us learn important lessons for our souls while on Earth.

Reunion in Heaven

When our natural time to cross into Heaven comes, we are reunited with our beloved pets. We will see them as we know them, just as we do our human loved ones in spirit. Once we have been reunited, they can then show themselves to us in the form they have chosen in Heaven.

Our beloved pets, much like our human loved ones in spirit, enjoy relaxation and favorite activities in Heaven, and can volunteer to share their love and skills with other souls, including our own. The bonds of love unite our souls and keep us connected across the cosmos through the hearts of our spirits. There are no boundaries to the love we share with all our loved ones in spirit, both human and animal.

Love Is the Primary Reason for Our Existence

Our journey in life is very interesting. What is most fascinating, though, is what goes on behind the scenes and the reasons why we are here.

Soul Contracts

Before we were born, we made agreements in heaven to learn lessons to help our souls to grow. Members of our soul groups, such as family members, friends, and co-workers, help us with those lessons by agreeing to set certain circumstances into motion with the intent to awaken us to the richness of our spirits, our unique identities, and the gift of love.

Heavenly Support

As others volunteer to help us, we volunteer to help them. All of this is agreed upon before we are reborn on earth, and while we are here, our support teams of angels, past spiritual masters, God, spirit guides, and our loved ones in spirit assist us in tremendous ways. Their ultimate goal is to help us to recognize the light of our own spirits that is illuminated by the love from which we were created.

How Have You Loved?

After we cross over into heaven, we are asked one very important question when we review our lives: “How have you loved?” It is not just about how you have loved others, but yourself, as well. The seemingly negative situations that we encounter in our lifetimes are not punishments, but rather wake-up calls to help us to learn how to give and receive compassion, forgiveness, empathy, and love.

Opportunities for Growth

When someone in your life treats you badly, you are given the choice to let that person drag you down or to see beyond the person’s behavior and to recognize it as a projection of his or her own fears, and not a character-defining commentary about you. People who hurt others, intentionally or not, may be in the throes of their own life lessons, and have not yet learned that such behavior is rooted in the illusion of fear. They may also be acting out his or her portion of a soul contract designed to stretch your spiritual growth by giving you the opportunity to move beyond such behavior. Each soul is here to learn, each one of us is created out of love, and each one of us is loved, regardless of where we are in our soul’s evolution.

Seeing the Gifts within Seemingly Negative Situations

The next time you experience seemingly negative situations, try to see the lessons that could be learned, rather than focusing on the negativity itself. It helps to take a step back from the circumstances you encounter. You may not see the answers while in the midst of the situation; however, it is possible to do so and to get better at being able to more readily recognize the opportunities you are being given to grow. One way to do this is to remind yourself that we are all here to learn, and we are all here for the specific purpose of helping each other to grow as souls. Every action and event, as unbelievable as it may seem, is born out of the love of which we are all a part. It is because those actions and events are based in our spiritual growth which sometimes requires challenging situations to push us to become the best version of us we can be.

Spiritual Assistance
