The Gift of Spirit Communication Is Within You

Each of us is born with the ability to communicate through the hearts of our spirits with loved ones in spirit, spirit guides, past spiritual masters, the Angels, and God. There is an invisible communication network that connects us to all beings in existence. The ability to tap into that network is a skill that can be learned, or as I like to refer to it, a skill that can be remembered. Throughout the many lifetimes we have lived, as well as the time spent in Heaven, we have known of this ability and have used it. However, when we are born on earth, our memories of this ability can be veiled from us until the right time approaches. Having an open mind and an open heart helps us to retrieve the knowledge of spirit-to-spirit communication built into our souls. It also helps when you have an older soul, someone who has lived many lifetimes and whose gift is strong, to help guide you through the process and learn how to better manage it.

Benefits of Connecting with Heaven

There are many benefits to learning how to communicate via your spirit with loved ones who have crossed over into Heaven, as well as other divine beings. While you may receive signs they are around, it is even better to know why they are around and what they would like to express to you beyond their love. Our loved ones in spirit help us with our lives every day, and if we can open ourselves up to their messages, we can better navigate our lives and become more open to the incredible love that streams into our souls on a daily basis. Our guys and gals in Heaven know how challenging life on earth can be. Because of this and because of the great love they have for us, they do their best to support us through our earthly journeys.

Learning a New Language

Learning how to communicate via your spirit can be equated to learning a new language. This is because the way we communicate through our spirits is different from the way we communicate with one another on the earth plane. Those in spirit use all our senses to transmit messages. Seeing, feeling, hearing, tasting, smelling, and knowing are ways in which the information is received and transmitted; however, the information comes through our extrasensory senses, which go beyond our earthly senses. Symbols are also used to represent information and to communicate concepts at a faster rate across dimensions. Each person’s symbols are uniquely matched to their own experiences. It takes time and knowledge to decipher the meaning of the symbols being used. One of the most amazing aspects of mediumship is that it grows, deepens, and changes. Each day brings an opportunity to expand your knowledge and hone your skills.

Reawakening to the Gifts Within

Spirit mediums are not born knowing they are mediums or conduits to the Other Side. The veil that covers knowledge when we are born is lifted when the time is right for us to share our gifts. We are made aware of our gifts through many experiences, and in my case, I received a true calling that left absolutely no doubt as to my purpose in this lifetime. Not everyone receives this type of calling, nor is it always so strong. Each person has their own mission in life, and serving others in a professional capacity in this way may or may not be your purpose; however, you can still learn how to communicate with loved ones in spirit and other divine beings. If you feel a strong desire to learn, it is because it is necessary for the growth of your spirit to tap into beneficial guidance from Heaven.

Education is Important

Learning how spirit communicate works and how to manage the gift is very important. There are many subtle nuances used by those in spirit, including symbols to communicate the information across dimensions. There are methods that can help in the interpretation of symbols which help both the spirit medium and the recipient of the information. In addition, learning how to set boundaries, about ethical practices, and evidential mediumship, which is a method for retrieving information which can be validated by the recipient of a reading, adds more depth and understanding to this unique form of soul-to-soul communication. It truly is a life-changing experience to learn how to communicate with spirit.

Opportunities to Learn

Spirit communication cannot be taught using only a book or videos. This is because it is vital to receive active feedback from a teacher to help you learn about the process. When choosing a teacher, listen to your intuition and select the teacher you resonate with and who you are drawn towards. Depending upon your life purpose, you can use your gifts and learned knowledge to help yourself and others on a personal or professional level, depending upon your life purpose or calling in life. Sleep Paralysis: Scientific Phenomenon or Supernatural Fright?

Have you ever woken up unable to move, feeling as if something was pressing you down into the bed? This alarming experience is called sleep paralysis. It is a condition in which you feel mentally awake, but unable to physically move your body. The feeling may last for a few seconds or up to a few minutes. It often occurs upon wakening; however, it is also known to occur when one is in the process of falling asleep. It can be accompanied by a physical feeling of pressure on the throat or chest and an inability to vocally express oneself. Some people report feeling or seeing a presence in the room, which many perceive to be otherworldly and ominous in nature.

What is Sleep Paralysis?

According to Beth Roybal at WebMD (2023), when we are sleeping our body shuts down to prevent us from physically acting out our dreams. At times when we are awakened during the dream cycles of our sleep, the physical body remains in shut down mode which can create frightening sleep paralysis conditions. Essentially, it signals an issue with our bodies being slightly out of sync with our sleep cycles. During the Rapid Eye Movement (R.E.M.) cycle, which is when dreams occur, the body is placed in a relaxed mode that allows you to rest and prevents you from fully acting out your dreams. If you become conscious within the R.E.M. cycle, your body may remain in an immobilized state and your perceptions of reality can be peppered with altered-state illusions making it seem as though there is an ominous presence in the room. This is especially the case when we are in a state of extreme fright about not being able to move our bodies or vocally express our fear. It is not a being holding us down, but our own bodies preventing us from acting out our dreams. Sleep paralysis experiences usually only last a few seconds to a few minutes; however, it can feel as though it is much longer than that when you are in the midst of this type of episode.

Personal Experience with Sleep Paralysis

When I was in my teens, I recall experiencing this type of paralysis. It was extremely frightening to be incapable of moving my body or making a sound. I remember lying there, not knowing what was happening, just praying for it to pass. As panic bubbled up within, I attempted to calm my racing heart by slowing down my breathing and telling myself this would pass. My personal experience, while terrifying, only occurred once in my life, and it did not involve a perception of an ominous presence in the room. During my experience with sleep paralysis, I was able to talk myself through the experience until the sensors in my brain alerted my physical body to remove itself from dream mode. It is very frightening to experience sleep paralysis; however, I am glad to say it is an infrequent occurrence which may only occur once in someone’s lifetime, if at all. When it happens, though, it is an unforgettable experience.

Who is Affected by Sleep Paralysis and What Can Be Done

According to Roybal at WebMD (2023), the most frequent occurrences are reported in the teen years; however, sleep paralysis can happen to people of all ages. There are many underlying reasons why it occurs, some of which may include sleeping on one’s back, stress, sleep schedule changes, and lack of sleep. If sleep paralysis is a habitual problem, it is recommended that you talk with your doctor about your sleep patterns and conditions, as well as the stress levels in your life. There are many factors that affect our sleep, and if you are experiencing problems, it is best to speak to a specialist who can help you work on the issues.

Rest Easy

All in all, sleep paralysis has a scientific reason for occurring based on the natural functions of the human body. It is not an ominous being taking control over you. The fear factor runs high when this occurs, and in a dream-like state, this experience can quickly turn into a sort of waking nightmare in which the mind creates all kinds of scary reasons for its occurrence. For those who have experienced sleep paralysis, there are ways of minimizing the effects when you are experiencing an episode. Knowledge is power in this case as it can help you to recognize the condition for what it is and ease the effects. For example, when you know this is a condition in which the mind awakens to consciousness before the body, you can work on calming yourself down through deep breaths and repeating to yourself, “Everything is alright, this will pass” until it does pass within a few seconds or minutes.

Do the Energies of our Loved Ones in Spirit Remain within Objects They Owned or within Photographs?

Psychometry, which is the ability to retrieve information about beings and events through the touching of an object, can be performed by Spirit Mediums, who communicate soul-to-soul with beings in spirit. The ability works through the energy stored within an object by the being who used it, whether living or deceased.

A World of Energy

Everything in existence is comprised of energy. As we go through our daily lives, we encounter the energies of others and emit our own. The transference of energy from person-to-person can occur easily within certain circumstances, such as when we are emotionally moved by a theatrical performance or concert, when we are sharing a joyful moment with family or friends, or when we are experiencing a situation which causes negative emotions to emerge. Energy transference can also occur from people to objects and objects to people. For example, when you enter a particular building, such as a home or workplace, there is a vibe or overall feeling you can receive about the premises. This is coming from energy stored in the objects and location from the people who occupied the space in the past or the present. Energy transfers also occur with objects kept in very close proximity to a person or animal. Jewelry, watches, glasses, cellphones, well-used furniture (e.g., favorite chair or bed), pet collars, pet beds, and pet toys usually maintain strong storage of the energy of a being because they are kept close to the body. More mundane objects, such as checkbooks, cologne or perfume bottles, or wall calendars, do not contain a lot of stored energy because even though they were used often, they were not in repetitive close contact with the person or animal.

How Psychometry Works

When a spirit medium touches or holds an object with the specific intention of retrieving information about a person or pet, they are using their extrasensory senses to tap into the energies stored within the object. When doing this with an object which belongs to a person or animal who is deceased, they can also connect with the soul of the being to receive communications. The process starts with the retrieval of information stored within the object which can reveal scenes, emotions, and events from the past. They then ask the being in spirit who is connected to the object if they would like to share communications with the person who provided the object. If they do decide to step up to communicate, which most of the time they do, even more information is transmitted from the being in spirit about their life, including but not limited to, who they were in life, activities they participated in, memories of events, how they passed, and much more. Once the connection is established with the person or animal in spirit, and the person or recipient of the reading who brought the object to the spirit medium confirms or validates the identity of the deceased loved one, then the spirit medium asks the being in spirit what messages they would like to share. The messages are transmitted in the same way the information from the past was sent, which includes the use of all the extrasensory senses of clear seeing, feeling, hearing, tasting, smelling, and knowing.

Cleansing of Energy from Objects or Locations

There are cases in which locations and objects can store a tremendous amount of negative energies from emotionally charged events or troubling circumstances, such as violent encounters or people who experienced great distress or despair. The objects and locations can be cleansed of these energies in a variety of ways; however, at the same time, it can also remove important historical information which can provide valuable insights into events from the past. The information, if cleansed, can sometimes be retrieved but it is much more challenging to do so because the spirit medium would need to dig below the layer of cleansing and reach out in spirit to those who were affected by the tragedies to piece together the circumstances. One of the most effective ways to cleanse an object or location of negative or unwanted energies is to use energy healing, such as Reiki. There are other spiritual or ceremonial actions which can be taken to cleanse a space, including calling upon ancestors, spirit guides, or Archangels. The process can differ across the world depending upon the cultural norms and practices of the location.

Photographs

The process of using photographs to connect with a person or animal in spirit differs from psychometry because it does not involve the retrieval of energy or information from an object. It is a method for spirit mediums to connect with a specific loved one in spirit for a recipient in which the spirit medium requests the presence of the person or animal in the photograph to see if they would like to share communications. Our energies or pieces of our souls are not trapped or contained in the photograph in any way. They are a tool that can be used to create a connection between the spirit medium, the loved one in spirit, and the recipient of a reading.

Are Psychometry or Photographs Necessary to Connect with Loved Ones in Spirit?

Spirit Mediums do not need objects or photographs to communicate with loved ones in spirit. Those in spirit will come forward on their own to communicate during a reading because they orchestrated the events which brough the spirit medium and recipient together. The use of objects or photos can be employed as tools to assist with a direct connection with a specific loved one in spirit; however, they are not required or necessary.

Ghosts and Spirits – Should They be Feared or Embraced?

Ghosts and spirits have a job. It is not, as many believe, to frighten or harm us, but rather to remind us that there is more to this universe than our small earthly world. Experiences with ghosts and spirits are one of the methods utilized by our Heavenly Support Teams to expand our thoughts beyond the mundane on earth to that which exists beyond the ordinary experiences we have each day.

Fears Fuel the Imagination

Some people are afraid of the unknown and automatically express fear at experiencing anything out of the ordinary. That fear multiplies and imaginations go wild to the point where people think ghosts are coming after them with the intent to do harm. Allowing your fears to overtake you has the potential to escalate and amplify them. Also, when we are taken by surprise, our survival instincts kick in, shooting adrenaline throughout our bodies. The quick influx of adrenaline triggers an alert throughout our systems for potential dangers. This does not mean that true dangers exist, though. It is more of a startle reflex in which all of the senses are heightened, meaning that anything we see, such as a flash of light, or hear, such as a twig breaking, are amplified. When fear takes over, these experiences can seem ominous.

Mischievous But Not Harmful

Spirits can be mischievous, especially if they liked having fun when they were alive on earth. Just as God uses the soul evolvement of the living to fulfill soul contracts, God also employs those in spirit who are on different levels of soul evolvement to help those on earth. For instance, a friend of mine in spirit likes to “borrow” objects from my house, only to return them two weeks later in the vicinity in which they disappeared. My friend’s mischievous fun is characteristic of his personality and his antics taught me valuable lessons about objects transported between dimensions. In addition to borrowing objects, spirits can utilize energy to move items, pipe scents into the air, blink lights, and freeze up electronic objects like cellphones, your cable box, and more.  At times, spirits like to revisit places that were important to their lives – whether they were positive or negative experiences. Deep emotional connections with people, places, and objects are what attract spirits to particular locations. They love to connect with us and communicate their histories or messages of import.

Powerful Illusions

It is very important to note that I have never encountered any being in spirit who was intent on harming me. While beings in spirit employ interesting tactics for capturing my attention, they have never brought me harm. To me reports of demons and demonic encounters are tricks of the mind based on emotional fears of the unknown. One of the topics I write about in my book, How Have You Loved?, is how fear can create powerful illusions that seem real. We can bring fearful thoughts to life if we give them power. For instance, when visiting a Halloween hayride or haunted house, people can become truly frightened by the actors, props, and scenery, even though they know it is all an illusion. The same is true when people are experiencing unexplained phenomenon. The first thoughts may be that “demons” must be present. TV shows and movies have added a lot of confusion and misinformation about how beings in spirit are perceived because they play into the fear factor for sensationalism. More often than not, it is often our loved ones in spirit who are there to help us with their love and support.

Energetic Impressions

When people report seeing spirits or ghosts performing the same actions over and over again, it is often left over energy that plays like a recording. There is no interaction with this type of ghost because it is not the actual spirit but something akin to a hologram. This type of phenomena occurs in locations where this being experienced strong emotional reactions to events. An energetic impression of what they were doing at the time of the event is left behind, which can sometimes be seen, felt, or heard by those whose who are sensitive to extrasensory energies.

What You Can Do When You Encounter a Spirit

When you are experiencing other-worldly visits, my best advice is for you to relax. It is most likely one of your loved ones in spirit that is stopping by to say hello. If you are visiting a historic location or see people in spirit you do not recognize, such as a man, woman or child dressed in period clothing, I recommend relaxing and viewing the situation from a place of curiosity and compassion. Your ability to see, feel, hear, taste or smell communications from spirits your openness to their light, love, and helpful energies.

If you do not wish to communicate with spirits, you can let them know that by thinking it or saying it out loud. There is no need to raise your voice or be rude. Simply state it in a matter of fact way and ask them to leave you alone. If you feel the need for extra assistance, call on Archangel Michael to protect you and remove them from your presence. Most of the time, though, spirits want to communicate a message that will help you or someone else. If you are having experiences with spirit often, or would like to know more about how spirits communicate, I highly recommend that you learn about it. There are many dependable resources from professional spirit mediums that will help you to understand more about the world of spirit. You can increase your knowledge through books, classes, and workshops.

Much can be Learned from Spirits

From the ancient peoples of the past to the people of today, there has been a cultural connection with the world of spirits. The fascination people have with ghosts and spirits is no mistake. It is a fascinating way of keeping our minds open to that which exists beyond life on earth. It also reminds us of our history, including people’s stories and experiences on earth, as their presents gets people talking and thinking on a soul level.  There is no coincidence in the uptick of interest in ghosts and other-worldly beings. It represents the pivotal awakening of the world to spiritual matters. Not everyone will wake up to the gifts within them in this lifetime; however, more and more people will be guided toward a spiritual path in an effort to bring more light and love to this planet. This movement toward the spiritual aspects of our existence has the potential to usher in more peace on earth through personal contentment, knowledge, and universal understanding.

Much can be learned from ghosts and spirits. They hold information from the past, the present, and the future, as well as information about life after death and the universe. There is no need to fear them, as they are in our midst to teach us about our souls, as well as all that exists beyond life on earth. Namaste!

If Heaven Exists, Is There a Hell?

As a spirit medium, I receive insights and information about the universe, Heaven, the experiences of souls who cross over to the Other Side, and much more. A great deal of this information comes through communications with loved ones in spirit and the angels, as well as through visions, epiphanies, theophanies (experiences with God), and meditations. My natural curiosity about these topics, as well as my desire to assist those on Earth to better understand the reasons for our existence and what exists beyond life on Earth, prompts me to seek answers to our biggest questions. When receiving the answers, they are provided to me in ways we can comprehend as human beings. Our knowledge of what exists beyond life on Earth is somewhat veiled in order to provide the necessary conditions for learning lessons for our souls. What truly exists is much more magnificent and complex than most of us can conceive through our limited experiences as human beings on a spiritual journey.

Gathering Information Using Gifts of Mediumship

One of the questions I am often asked is whether Hell exists. I have seen and experienced many aspects of Heaven; however, I have, to this date, never seen or experienced anything close to the concept of Hell as provided by various religious texts. This holds true even for people who have committed grievous crimes, including murder.

To supplement the information I received through meditation journeys, visions, and communications with the Other Side about the concept of Hell, I visited Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to communicate spirit-to-spirit with deceased men who spent time on Death Row. According to its website, it was operational from April 1829 through January 1970 and housed thousands of criminals over the years, some of them notorious.

Upon asking them to reveal to me what their experience was when crossing over, they gave me the immediate impression of darkness and great confusion. Strong feelings of angst flooded their souls as they did not know what was happening or where they were. The impression I received was that these souls were stuck in purgatory, which is the temporary state of no longer existing on Earth while also not being in Heaven. Purgatory is sometimes mistakenly referred to as Hell. This may be because of the feeling of being lost which accompanies the experience, and for those who committed grievous crimes, there is an added element of torment and anguish as their mind convinces them they went to Hell. This experience can be very negative as images of the crimes they committed repeatedly play in their mind.

Others who do not cross over right away, such as those who take their own lives or who passed suddenly and are experiencing confusion about the need to cross over, have a different set of circumstances. For those who committed suicide, they need help believing they belong in Heaven. For those who crossed over very suddenly, if they do not cross over right away, I have been shown that they can become confused and may turn away from the gateway to Heaven because they feel as though they have unfinished business on Earth. These souls temporarily wander the Earth in spirit looking for assistance. It can be a very surreal experience in which they can see others on Earth, but those on Earth, other than spirit mediums, cannot see them. Ultimately, every soul receives assistance with their crossing from a spiritual being, such as the angels, or from spirit mediums who recognize their needs and call in the angels to help them cross.

What Happens to Souls Who Harm Others on Earth

Usually, when the soul is released from the physical body through death, the soul transitions to Heaven with the help of a small delegation of loved ones in spirit or the angels to help guide them to the Other Side. For those who are temporarily stuck in purgatory due to crimes they committed, there is the presence of a spiritual being who does not step forward, but rather waits patiently, without judgment, to be noticed.

Once acknowledged, the spiritual being seeks to educate the soul in the necessity of crossing over. The temporarily lost soul needs to believe they belong in Heaven in order to transition there. The amount of time it takes for the soul to believe this varies. The impressions I received from souls who existed in this surreal state included images and experiences of their crimes playing out repeatedly in their mind because of their lack of belief in their worthiness. When they are finally convinced of the need to cross over in order to receive healing and to learn from the mistakes they made while on Earth, they transition to a room, much like an interrogation room, in which they begin the review of their life. It is an objective review in which they are immersed in various scenes to discuss what took place, how it affected others and themselves, and what they could have done differently with the lessons they were to learn on Earth.

In contrast, those who were stuck in purgatory because they were confused during their sudden passing are welcomed into Heaven by their loved ones who are already there in spirit. There is a celebration in their honor in which they are reunited with all their loved ones in Heaven, including animals. For those who took their own lives, there is no celebration. These souls are in dire need of healing and are directed to the spiritual hospital to receive the help they need. Loved ones already in Heaven can visit; however, the concentration is on healing from the issues that led them to take their own lives, as well as the act of ending their lives too soon. From what has been shared with me, they spend approximately two weeks to six months Earth time in the spiritual hospital.

Levels of Heaven

Once the life review is over for the souls who brought great harm to others in life, there is no gala celebration. They are in need of healing and knowledge to help them evolve. They are assigned to what I refer to as the lower levels of Heaven, in which they dedicate their time to learning how to be a better soul and to gain understanding about the love from which we were all created.

The souls who commit grievous crimes are often young souls who have not experienced many lifetimes. They operate from a place of fear rather than love and need to reincarnate many times in order to help their souls evolve to a higher place. In contrast, older souls understand the need for compassion, empathy, and love, as well as the concept that we are here to help one another on our journeys. All of us were younger souls at some point, and when we experience life on Earth, God uses this great mixture of soul evolvement to help us help each other with the lessons destined for this lifetime.

As a soul learns lessons throughout its lifetimes, it has opportunities to progress through the levels of Heaven. Souls on the higher levels of Heaven can visit those on the lower levels; however, those on the lower levels do not have permission to visit the higher levels until they have reached the stages of their evolution which permits them to move about with more freedom. As souls progress, they are granted increasing abilities to collaborate with others in Heaven to create collective positive experiences, such as recreations of favorite times and places on Earth. Additionally, souls gain the abilities to transform their personal appearances, and most chose to look like a young version of themselves, and to create their unique space in Heaven, such as a beautiful seaside cottage or elaborate cabin in the mountains, in which loved ones in spirit, including pets, can visit and share.

The Number of Levels in Heaven

When asking about the number of levels in Heaven, the answer I receive is twelve. When we achieve the highest level, we can remain in existence as an angel helping other souls, or we can choose to be fully reintegrated into the highest energy form, which I refer to as God or the God Force. From there, new souls are created, and the process begins anew. This is not to be mistaken for reincarnation. Reincarnation is the same soul living many lifetimes. The reintegration into the God Force is the completion of the soul’s existence after it has reached the highest pinnacle of soul growth.

How Long Does It Take to Fully Evolve as a Soul?

There is no set time frame for the evolution of a soul. Whether young, old, or somewhere in between, each soul progresses at its own pace with its own lessons and purposes for each lifetime. Lessons can be learned while in Heaven; however, when we decide to be reborn on Earth, it is to accelerate the growth of our souls through more challenging experiences. The negativity which exists on Earth does not exist in Heaven. We can stay in Heaven for certain lessons; however, in order to experience the greater challenges, we need to reincarnate for lessons on Earth.

Concept of Hell

As for the concept of the fiery Hell proclaimed in various religious texts, the creation of this type of vision may have been conceptualized as a way of getting society to behave in a certain manner through fear tactics. It may also come from impressions by ancient seers and mediums, many of which are past spiritual masters, about souls temporarily lost in purgatory. As I mentioned, the souls who committed grievous crimes gave me the impressions of the misery they endured while stuck in purgatory. What was not understood or shared in the religious texts was the continuation of the souls’ journeys to Heaven once they believed they belonged.

Every soul is given the opportunity to learn and grow, even those who have done great harm while on Earth. During their life reviews, they experience the consequences of their actions in order to learn how to improve and evolve. If the lessons are not learned or cannot be completed during their stay in the lower levels of Heaven, then they are incorporated into their soul contracts for their next lifetime.

Each of us was created with loving care and are provided with opportunities to better ourselves and evolve as souls. Just as children on Earth grow and learn, our souls do so on a much grander scale. If a child makes a mistake, even a big one, there are consequences which are dealt with, but also the opportunity to learn from that mistake. It is the same with our souls. Instead of being sent to the fiery pits of Hell as described in religious texts, we are sent instead to the appropriate level of Heaven to learn from those mistakes in order to become a better soul.

Communicating with Animals

Orange and White Tabby CatAnimals are highly intelligent beings who experience emotions, much like human beings. Both live and deceased animals communicate spirit-to-spirit, in the same way loved ones in spirit communicate with spirit mediums. This form of communication uses all of the earthly and extrasensory senses. Pieces of information are shared using images, sounds, feelings, tastes, and smells, just as human beings in spirit share information. It is a complex form of two-way communication which transcends earthly communication with its depth and symbolic representations pulled from the databank of experiences of the receiver, the spirit medium.

Pets in Heaven

When pets come through during a spirit medium reading, they show me images of themselves as they were close to the time of their passing. They indicate how they passed through physical indicators, such as pain in the area of my kidneys if they experienced kidney failure, or excessive tiredness, pain in the head, and a feeling of confusion if they had a brain tumor. This is similar to the way human beings who have crossed over share their symptoms with me about the way they passed. The pain I experience is nothing close to the level of pain they experienced because it is only an indicator, not a reenactment. In order to provide information which helps their loved one to identify them, animals provide images of their toys or collars, their favorite location or activities on earth, or people who are living that they love. Once the animals have been identified and claimed by the recipient, they share their love and express messages, such as thanks for the love and care they received in life or the assistance they received to cross over into Heaven. Feelings are transmitted, as well as thoughts which are automatically translated into the language I understand best, which is English. The automatic translation process is the same as it is when human beings in spirit come through who spoke a language other than English. I hear all of the messages in English; however, immediately prior to that the loved ones speak in their language to indicate to me they spoke a language other than English.

Interestingly, as with human beings in Heaven, animals on the Other Side can take the form of their younger selves once they have crossed over. I have seen images of dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, ferrets, birds, and more in the prime of their lives in Heaven, looking happy and often surrounded by loved ones who have already crossed over. Any physical pain or disabilities experienced in life are gone, and a time of rest, relaxation, and play are ushered in.

Live Animal Communication

Communicating with live animals works the same way it does with loved ones in spirit and animals in spirit. The transmission of information uses all of the senses and translations of thoughts are a two-way process. Meaning, information sent from the animal is communicated in a language the spirit medium understands and the information from the spirit medium is sent in a way the animal understands. It is an amazing process. By the way, animals can and do have a sense of humor. Just like humans, they experience a full range of emotions that would surprise many people.

Domesticated animals tend to be like young children with their mindset. They can be stubborn, even when you try to explain something to them. When placed in a situation they are not familiar with or that is confusing, their fears can take over, blocking out rational thoughts. This is especially true when visiting the veterinarian. Many pets do not like going to the vet, especially cats, just like there are people who do not like going to the doctor. Being poked and prodded is not a comfortable experience for them. Plus, there are many different animals and smells, including the smell of fear from the other animals. Do your best to comfort your pets and ease their fears using soothing words and tones. They feel your heart and the love you share with them. Visualize that love flowing from the heart of your spirit to theirs to help ease their worries.

The Special Roles of Animals in Our Lives

The pets in our lives provide much love, companionship, and comfort. However, there is much more to their presence on Earth. This includes animals in the wild. There is so much more to their existence than what appears to be on the surface. In addition to teaching us many lessons about unconditional love, friendship, and the cycle of life, animals have important spiritual jobs. Loved ones in spirit and the angels engage animals to help convey messages to human beings on Earth. If a particular animal is making its presence known to you on a repetitive basis, I recommend looking up the spiritual meaning of that animal. For instance, if you have been seeing many opossums lately, it may be time for you to let go of any angst about troubles in your life and wait for a better time to address the issues. This is because the opossum carries the spiritual message of “playing dead,” a tactic they use when they feel threatened. There are no coincidences. Animals do send messages through their presence in our lives. In other instances, loved ones in spirit may ask the animals to appear for a loved one on Earth as a sign of their love and presence. Cardinals, blue jays, and hummingbirds are often used as messengers due to their eye-catching colors, importance to the deceased or living, and because birds have often been used as actual messengers, as is the case with carrier pigeons. Loved ones in spirit can also direct pets to knock over certain photographs and objects to get our attention. After coming home from a group reading in which I was a participant, not the spirit medium, I noticed a small painting of my sister and I lying face down in my home office. My dad, who is in Heaven, directed one of my cats to knock it over to let me know he was around. My best friend, Michele, who is also in Heaven, had come through during the reading with a brief shout-out from my dad. This was his way of letting me know that even though he did not come through fully that evening, he is still around and sending his love.

Exploring the Natural World

If you are having a difficult time finding a spiritual meaning for an animal, look up the habitats and behaviors of the animal for clues about the message they are attempting to convey. For example, a skunk is a gentle and shy animal which digs burrows and emits an odoriferous spray as a defense mechanism. The presence of a skunk in your life may indicate that you or someone you know is on the defensive and possibly digging in their heels regarding an altercation. Knowing this may help you to recognize when to give yourself or someone else some room to cool down before attempting to resolve a situation.

Animals are Amazing

Animals are amazing creatures that help us in so many ways here on Earth. When you are hugging and loving your pets, know they, too, are sharing their love with you. They appreciate all you do for them. You do not need to be a spirit medium to convey your love. Pay attention to their needs through behaviors, notice the toys and food they prefer, and most of all, continue to show your appreciation for their presence in your life with loving attention.

Pay attention to the animals that make an appearance in your life, as they may be messengers from Heaven trying to help you with your life.
