Love Is the Primary Reason for our Existence

Our journey in life is very interesting. What is most fascinating, though, is what goes on behind the scenes and the reasons why we are here.

Soul Contracts
Before we were born, we made agreements in heaven to learn lessons to help our souls to grow. Members of our soul groups, such as family members, friends, and co-workers, help us with those lessons by agreeing to set certain circumstances into motion with the intent to awaken us to the richness of our spirits, our unique identities, and the gift of love.

Heavenly Support
As others volunteer to help us, we volunteer to help them. All of this is agreed upon before we are reborn on earth, and while we are here, our support teams of angels, past spiritual masters, God, spirit guides, and our loved ones in spirit assist us in tremendous ways. Their ultimate goal is to help us to recognize the light of our own spirits that is illuminated by the love from which we were created.

How Have You Loved?
After we cross over into heaven, we are asked one very important question when we review our lives: “How have you loved?” It is not just about how you have loved others, but yourself, as well. The seemingly negative situations that we encounter in our lifetimes are not punishments, but rather wake-up calls to help us to learn how to give and receive compassion, forgiveness, empathy, and love.

Opportunities for Growth
When someone in your life treats you badly, you are given the choice to let that person drag you down or to see beyond the person’s behavior and to recognize it as a projection of his or her own fears, and not a character-defining commentary about you. People who hurt others, intentionally or not, may be in the throes of their own life lessons, and have not yet learned that such behavior is rooted in the illusion of fear. They may also be acting out his or her portion of a soul contract designed to stretch your spiritual growth by giving you the opportunity to move beyond such behavior. Each soul is here to learn, each one of us is created out of love, and each one of us is loved, regardless of where we are in our soul’s evolution.

Recognizing the Gifts within Seemingly Negative Situations
The next time you experience seemingly negative situations, try to see the lessons that could be learned, rather than focusing on the negativity itself. It helps to take a step back from the circumstances you encounter. You may not see the answers while in the midst of the situation; however, it is possible to do so and to get better at being able to more readily recognize the opportunities you are being given to grow. One way to do this is to remind yourself that we are all here to learn, and we are all here for the specific purpose of helping each other to grow as souls. Every action and event, as unbelievable as it may seem, is born out of the love of which we are all a part.

Spiritual Assistance
If you are having a hard time seeing the beauty of another’s soul, ask God and your angels to assist you. Your heavenly support team will help you to see beyond what appears to be negative on the surface, in order for you to recognize with your spirit the love that is truly there.

Receiving Divine Messages from Spirits in Heaven

As a Spirit Medium, I help to connect people with loved ones that have crossed over into heaven, as well as with spirit guides, guardian angels, past spiritual masters, and archangels. Loved ones who come through in a reading include both people and animals. I am constantly delighted and amazed at the messages that come through, as well as the way in which they are communicated.

How Communications from Spirit are Received
When I communicate with spirits, all of my extrasensory senses are utilized. Through clairvoyance, or extrasensory seeing, I am shown motion and still images of the deceased, as well as images that have symbolic meaning for the recipient of the reading. Through clairsentience, or extrasensory feeling, spirits send me physical indicators about the way in which they passed, such as a short sharp pain in the area of my heart which indicates that his or her life ended due to a heart attack. Through clairaudience, or extrasensory hearing, I am able to pick up auditory messages that spirits want to pass along to you. The use of clairalience and clairambience allows me to pick up on messages that are sent through my sense of taste and smell. For instance, I recently had an experience in which the strong taste of cigar smoke came through in a reading. When I shared this information with the recipient of the reading, they confirmed that the loved one coming through was a cigar smoker. Lastly, messages are sent to me using claircognizance, or extrasensory knowing. This is information that is known within my spirit. It is not shared through any of the others senses, it is information that has been downloaded to my mind that I share with the recipient of a reading.

Messages Shared After Loved Ones Have Been Identified
Once a spirit has been clearly recognized by the recipient of a reading through the initial validation process in which identity-revealing information is transmitted, such as about physical characteristics and personality traits, then it is time to share the messages that the spirit wants you to receive. The messages often include love, asking for forgiveness, and comfort about the spirit’s arrival in heaven.

Truthful and Heartfelt Guidance from Heaven
Because these spirits are in heaven, and can better see and understand the process of life on earth, they often offer guidance about your life path. It is important to keep in mind that the gift of divine communication is not to tell you what you necessarily want to hear, but to share with you the truth. The messages you receive are of great importance to the growth of your soul. Because we have been given the gift of free will, it is always up to the recipient of the reading to decide whether to follow the advice that is gifted to them by his or her heavenly support team.

What Happens When You Choose to Ignore Messages from Heaven
Some people have a strong adverse reaction to the messages because it requires that he or she let go of anger, grudges, and negative thought processes that he or she has held onto for a long time. The spirits are telling the person this, not to make the him or her angry or upset, but rather to help this person to release harmful patterns that are holding him or her back from achieving personal happiness, and could even be causing the recipient of the reading emotional, mental, and physical distress. If a person chooses to ignore the messages that spirits have shared with him or her, the spirits will not give up on their quest to help this person. He or she will continue to come across situations that will challenge him or her to grow as a soul, and to open his or her heart and mind to a more positive life path.

What Happens When You Listen to Divine Guidance
I am very happy to report that most people are open to the messages that they receive from spirit during readings. They understand the priceless value of the heavenly guidance that has been given to them. Amazing transformations and events do occur in the lives of the people who do take the messages to heart. I know not only because I am one of them, but also because of the feedback I receive from thankful clients who tell me about the fantastic turn their lives have taken as a result of following the advice given to them by their loved ones in spirit.

Best Advice
When you are the recipient of a spirit medium reading, my best advice is to keep an open mind about who will come through for you, as well as the messages that they will deliver to you about your life. It is a gift of divine guidance and intervention that could completely turn your life around if you listen closely to the information that spirits are sharing with you. This information originates not from the spirit medium who is delivering it, because he or she is only the vessel through which the communication flows, but from your heavenly support team who views your life from a much higher perspective. They want to see you succeed with the life lessons you have chosen for this lifetime, and hope that you recognize the honor and the blessings that they have gifted to you through their heavenly communications with you.

Set Yourself Free through Forgiveness

Whether it is painful events in the recent past or from as far back as childhood, emotional, mental, and spiritual trauma can be released from your spirit through forgiveness of the person or people involved, including yourself.

Complex Decisions and Challenging Situations
As spiritual beings on a human journey, we decided to live a lifetime on this earth to learn lessons that will enable us to grow as souls. Many of the lessons we have chosen require complex decisions and challenging situations that can have a significant impact on the evolvement of not only our souls, but also on the souls of others. Because we are in a stage of learning, and are not all-knowing beings, mistakes will be made. It is important to forgive each other for the mistakes we make and to look beyond the pain to the lessons that are built into the situations we encounter on a daily basis.

Reasons and Choices
In order for our souls to evolve to a clearer understanding of the reasons for our existence, it is necessary to face challenges that make us question and think about our self-worth, our relationships and connections with others, and whether or not there really is a higher power that guides us. The reason you experience tragic, sad, or disheartening events is not to drag you down, but to give you a choice. You can choose to let these situations mire you in negativity and self-pity, or you can choose see the blessings and lessons that God and the angels are assisting you with in order to open your heart, mind, and spirit to the truth that exists within your soul.

Why It Is Beneficial to Forgive
Forgiveness is an acknowledgement and a release of actions from the past that caused harm to yourself or others. Extending forgiveness does not mean that you are condoning the behavior that caused you or others harm. It means that you have come to terms with the situation and have made a conscious decision to release its hold on you. By recognizing that these events served a very important purpose in your soul evolvement, you can also learn how to express gratefulness for the lessons you learned. In order to do that though, you must be able to look beyond the pain in order to see how you were given the opportunity to grow as a soul. The rewards you receive for perceiving the patterns and lessons behind traumatizing events includes amazing enlightenment about yourself, others, and the universe as a whole, as well as a realization that these events were necessary steps toward achieving your dreams in this lifetime.

It is important to note that you do not have to be in someone’s presence in order to forgive them. You can extend forgiveness in your heart and mind by sending forgiving thoughts toward the situation and the people involved. Our connection in spirit with one another allows the messages to be received by the spirit of the person you are forgiving. The people that are here on earth may or may not be consciously aware of your message of forgiveness; however, the spirit that resides within them will have received and acknowledged the forgiveness you have extended.

What Happens When You Refuse to Forgive
Holding grudges, anger, and pain inside of yourself hurts you. Those negative emotions and thoughts prevent you from moving forward and draw toward you more unfortunate circumstances. When you are focused on the lower energies produced by fear and anger, you are dragging down your own energy. This will attract more situations to you that are harmful. By choosing to release negative emotions, you are releasing their hold on you. This will lighten your energetic load and free you up to attract more positive experiences in your life. Keep in mind that how you live your life is your choice. Whether you decide to remain mired in misery or rise above the challenges you face, it is the gift of free will that gives you the option to choose the path that you take.

If you need help extending forgiveness, you can ask the archangels for assistance. They will help you to release the negativity and heal the pain that you have been carrying.

Repetition May Be Necessary
Even after you have extended forgiveness, there may be times when a situation will appear in your life that will bring to the surface old pain and remembrances of harmful situations. When this happens, you can extend forgiveness again and visualize the situation and the people involved as healed.

Choosing to be Free
As you make the choice to free yourself from the past, you are also making the choice to open yourself up to love and more positive experiences. Your spirit will be lighter, and you may even feel as though a physical weight has been lifted from your body. Enjoy the benefits and freedom that comes from releasing your past, and shift your focus to the present—which is full of gifts and opportunities for making positive choices regarding your life path.

The Benefits of Building a Strong Relationship with God

When you build a close relationship with God, you begin to see things through his eyes. It is a bond that is forged in love and nurtured through continual communication and trust. By stepping back and putting your complete faith in God and the outcome of all of your affairs, you are inviting him into your life with loving trust and friendship. As your relationship deepens, you begin to see how God truly does oversee your growth as a soul and how he steers your course as you navigate your way through this lifetime.

Great Plans
God already knows what your goals are and what you are to accomplish while you are here. That was carefully planned with your consent before you were born on this Earth. Your destiny includes a series of soul contracts that define the lessons that you are to learn. How you accomplish them, and if you do, is entirely up to you. Awareness of your contracts, as well as the knowledge that you have gained from a multitude of lifetimes, is masked by the ego when you are born. One of the tasks that we have as a spiritual being on a human journey is to break through the veil that appears to separate us from that knowledge and the universal truths that are accessible through soul communication.

Mistakes can be Beneficial
As we live our lives every day, God lovingly watches over us. He knows the paths our lives are taking and the effects of the choices we make, as well as the best way for us to go. He sees when we deviate from that path. He exerts his power with a loving hand to guide us back to the paths that are in line with our soul plans. As a Spirit in human form, we become frustrated when we see ourselves or others going down a path that will ultimately cause more pain. With God, he views our errors and mistakes as learning lessons. It is beneficial for us to view our setbacks and missteps in the same way. God extends great love and compassion toward our souls. We give ourselves the greatest gift of kindness and love when we extend the same courtesy toward ourselves and others.

Free Will and the Effects of the Ego
As our Creator and heavenly parent, God wants what is best for us. He also knows that as his children, we must be free to make our own choices in order to exist and grow as a spiritual being. That is why we have the gift of free will. Mistakes and errors are as much a part of the process as our greatest achievements. One of the most important aspects of our soul evolvement is to stretch ourselves beyond what we perceive to be our boundaries and limitations. To do that, we need to find the courage that is stored within ourselves to overcome the effects of the ego.

On Earth, we have been given the ego as a part of our human existence. It is the negative voice that challenges our decisions by injecting counterproductive thoughts into our heads. This is the voice of fear that impregnates our mind with doubts and worries. That voice was placed within our minds as a challenge to be overcome. When we elected to come down to Earth to live this lifetime, we did so in order to speed up the evolution of our souls. In Heaven, ego and fear do not exist. We learn lessons for the evolvement of our souls; however, it is from a completely different perspective.

We cannot escape from the ego while on Earth but we can learn to manage it, work with it, and minimize its negative effects. Recognition and acknowledgement of the negative thoughts and fears as an illusion is the first step in negating its effects. When you know within your heart that it is only a mechanism that is meant to challenge you, you can face it with positive determination and thoughts that override its influence.

It is a lifelong challenge to learn how to manage the ego because the ego only disappears completely when our physical bodies expire. However, managing its effects becomes easier over time if you work diligently to recognize its encroachment upon your happiness. We are not meant to live a life of misery, but one of joy and happiness. Our dreams are achievable in this lifetime. The only thing that holds us back are the illusions of fear that are planted there by our egos.

He is with You Always
You are not alone on your journey. God is there to oversee and lovingly direct your path. The best way to hear him is to invite him into your life. Speak with him, pray to him and with him, share your thoughts and your gratitude, ask for guidance, and be open to his answers. God resides within you. He does not punish you with seemingly negative situations. Some circumstances are part of a soul contract while others are the result of how we treat ourselves and others. Negative thoughts and actions ripple across the Earth, causing reactions and events that directly affect our lives. God sees this happening. He intervenes when it is appropriate for him to do so. There are times when lessons need to be learned. At those times, it may seem as though he is not listening or that he is punishing you with hurtful or painful situations. You might even ask “Why doesn’t he save me from this experience?” He may not be removing you from it because, if he did, it may hamper your growth as a soul and hurt you more in the long run.

When you feel that you are in need of assistance, call on God to help you get through the tough situations you face and be open to his guidance. The Archangels are there for you, too. Still the fears within yourself by embracing the love of God and know that he will ensure the best outcome for you. It may not be the outcome you had hoped and prayed for, but then again, maybe it will. Remain calm and feel the peace within your heart that is given with grace to you by God. His love permeates your being at all times. When you push past the negativity of the ego, you can feel love in its purest form. It is a glorious feeling of divine joy that is almost overwhelming in its power. When you experience it, you will know that it is sent to you directly from God.

Enjoy Your Life
As you build your relationship with God, your trust and faith are rewarded with spiritual strength, love, knowledge, and peace. As a result, you may find yourself emulating the very characteristics that God displays toward you, including a significant capacity to extend love, forgiveness, understanding, and compassion toward yourself and others.

My heart has found great peace through my relationship with God and it has transformed my life in ways I never even dreamed were possible. Share your love with God today and let him into your heart. In this way, you can experience the beauty and benefits of your divine relationship with God, our Creator, for yourself.

Recognizing when a Problem is not Your Responsibility

There are situations that you will encounter in which it seems as though you are powerless to lend a hand. When facing a dilemma such as this, you can share your love, an empathetic ear, and your kindness. Gifts of the heart can have a profound effect on those that are struggling with life-altering decisions and emotionally painful conditions.

Choices that are Not Yours to Make
No matter how much you want to help someone, there are times when the only help you can offer comes from the heart. This may be because the choices that need to be made in the situation are not yours to make. A prime example would be relationship decisions that friends or relatives need to act upon, such as whether the time has come to break-up or divorce. Other examples include tough choices concerning medical conditions and the mental or emotional health of loved ones. It can be challenging to be an observer to someone else’s pain, especially when it seems as though you can do nothing to ease it.

An Important Contribution
As an observer of a difficult situation that your loved ones are experiencing, you can offer your love, kindness, your listening skills, and prayers. This kind of support can be an invaluable source of positive energy that is not only needed, but also desired. Advice and insight can also be offered; however, the person receiving it may or may not be receptive to it. This may be because he or she is having a hard time incorporating a new perspective. Stubbornness, a strong desire to control outcomes, lack of trust, or an ingrained sense of loyalty are often obstacles to a person’s ability to move beyond a problem. Moreover, even if you offer advice, it may not be an appropriate fit for the situation at hand because you may not be privy to all of the details. Do your best to avoid taking offense if your loved one does not utilize your well-meaning solutions because, ultimately, each person is responsible for his or her own choices. We all must live with the consequences of the decisions that we make. As an alternative to dispensing advice, try listening with empathy and allowing the person to talk about his or her feelings. This may be enough to help him or her to relieve some of the pressure surrounding the situation that is causing the angst.

Love Heals
Do your best not to underestimate or minimize the effect and power of love. Its positive energy can heal a broken heart, provide hope for the future, and offer comfort to those who are experiencing pain. Love is shared and communicated with one another through the heart of our soul. You can send that positive energy to your loved ones with your thoughts and prayers, as well as with physical expressions, such as a hug or soothing touch.

Even when it seems as though there is little that you can offer to someone who is struggling or suffering, remember that love is one of the best gifts that you can give…and it is an energy that you have an infinite supply of to share.

The Beauty and Messages in Music

When we hear music, it is not a jumble of sounds mashed together but an incredible blending of sounds designed to reach out and touch our souls. Music is a powerful emotional stimulator. It can make us laugh, cry, want to dance, etc. Moviemakers use it all the time to stir our emotions while watching a film. Music speaks to our souls. Spirit works with musicians as invisible muses, inspiring and sharing musical scores and lyrics with artists to send messages to the world. All music, whether it is joyful or sad, speaks to the soul.

Every day, we hear songs on the radio, jingles on TV, soundtracks from movies, streaming from the Internet, someone singing a song as they walk down the street, and in our mind. The songs may seem random; however, at times, they carry messages of import from the Other Side.

Did you ever have a song come on the radio that matches exactly what you were thinking at that very moment or that expresses exactly how you feel about a particular situation in your life? Is it a coincidence or is it Spirit sending you a message? Because I am very aware of Spirit and the way they send messages, I know it is our Heavenly Support Teams at work. They do this for you, too, which is why I am sharing this information with you. That way, you, too, can share in the wonderful experience of recognizing when Spirit is touching your life and sending you personal messages.

When you have a song that is playing in your head, have you ever wondered why you are hearing it? The song, as well as the lyrics, may be providing you with an answer to a problem you are experiencing or it may be a deceased loved one who is letting you know that they are near.

Listen to what you are hearing as there may be a message in it for you. The song may bring up memories of a particular time of year (which may be your answer as to when an event will occur or your problem will be resolved) or it may be providing you with an actual answer to your problem. Songs also may turn your thoughts toward memories of a deceased loved one. For instance, when I hear the Beatles’ song “Michelle” in my head, I know that my best friend, Michele, who passed away more than two decades ago, is nearby and sending me her love. At other times, when I was struggling with a particularly vexing issue, I would hear “All You Need Is Love.” That one always makes me smile and helps me to get back to what really matters, the giving and receiving of love.

It is important to note that music that carries hateful or violent messages are not a sign or message from Spirit, but a reflection of souls who have not yet seen the light. The deep angst and anger that causes musicians to compose that kind of music represents the darkness that could take over our lives if we do not strive to overcome the negative messages of ego that are based on the illusion of fear.

By becoming more aware of your personal soundtrack of music, that which you hear in your mind or that drifts into your ears at just the right time, will enable you to better recognize the auditory messages and signs from Spirit that you have been receiving all along.
