What Does It Mean When Deceased Loved Ones Appear in Dreams?

Woman with eyes closed as if she was sleepingDreaming is a fascinating mechanism in which the subconscious mind processes, in symbolic form, emotions and scenarios affecting our lives. The symbols within our dreams come from our personal experiences and cultural references, which means they can differ from person to person. What does it mean, then, when loved ones in spirit appear in our dreams? When a loved one who has crossed over into the next realm visits us in our dreams, it is really them appearing in spirit form to help us work through the various issues we are facing in our lives. Even if the dream is an unpleasant one, their presence in the dream is one of helpful assistance, even if it does not appear that way due to the content of the dream. It is who and what they represent which is important.

Our journey on earth is a spiritual one, in which we work through lessons for our souls to evolve and grow. Many of the lessons present challenges but with the promise of deep satisfaction within the soul when the lessons are learned and absorbed, allowing us to move forward with inner strength and peace. Honoring your soul and the souls of others is a vital lesson on earth as we are here to help one another in this journey. That help may come in the form of challenges which present us with opportunities for growth. Every situation we face and every person who comes into our lives serves a purpose. When loved ones appear in our dreams, they are helping us work through the earthly circumstances tied into our lessons. At times, they can also deliver direct messages with hints of what is to come or ways in which we can solve our problems. When delivering a direct message, there is a strong realistic quality which occurs during the transmission of the specific message which is inserted into the dream amongst the symbolic references. The occurrence of the message has the same quality as a vision. Dreams are often used to convey messages and provide time for a visitation from our loved ones in spirit.

Visions Versus Dreams

There is a distinct difference between dreams and visions. For most people, visions often occur immediately prior to falling asleep or upon waking but before you arise. Visions are very strong and have a realistic quality to them. When a deceased loved one visits in a vision, the experience can be very powerful, as every sense is magnified and the messages they share are clear and direct. Experiences with God, the angels, and past spiritual masters can also occur in dreams and visions. Again, when the visitations occur within a vision, it can be life changing.

Remembering and Interpreting Dreams

The messages within dreams are unique to each person. The best method for interpreting the symbolism within your dreams is to use word association techniques. Dream dictionaries are not very helpful because certain symbols may be positive for you but may represent something completely different for someone else. This is why word association is best because it taps into your personal symbols.

How to Remember and Record Your Dreams

Before you go to sleep, place a pen and paper by your bedside. In your mind, put the request out to the universe to remember your dreams. Try this for at least two weeks, especially if you have difficulty remembering your dreams. Be prepared to be woken up at an unusual time. This is because you will need to be awakened during the REM (rapid eye movement) cycle of sleep. It is during this cycle that you dream, and when you are woken up within the dream, you will recall it. Once you are awakened, do not get up out of bed. If you do, the memories of the dream will rapidly disappear. Instead, reach for your pen and paper to write down all the details of your dream. Do not concern yourself with sentence structure, spelling, or grammar. Just write down everything you remember without trying to interpret the meaning. Then, set it aside for at least a half day to a day.

How to Interpret Your Dreams

When you are ready to work on the interpretation of your dreams, sit down with the write up of your dream and a separate piece of paper. While keeping an open mind and without attempting to interpret the meaning, look at each being, object and action in the dream. Jot down the first things you think of immediately. Do not think or second guess and do not attempt to interpret. This is an exercise in word association. This process only works if you keep an open mind and jot down the first thought associated with the object, being, or action. Repeat this for all objects, beings, and actions in your dream. After you have completed this exercise for the entire dream, take a look at the words you wrote in the word association exercise. This is when you begin the process of interpretation. You should begin to notice a pattern or theme emerging. Think about how the theme relates to events occurring in your life. The symbolism in your dream has the potential to reveal insight into your life through the identification of the subconscious thoughts and emotions affecting your life.

Lucid Dreaming

Lucid dreaming is the ability to directly communicate with beings in your dream while remaining in the dream state. There are many books and articles that teach methodologies for lucid dreaming. Knowing that it is really your loved ones in spirit in your dreams is the first step. When I attempted to speak with my dad in my dreams for the first time, I was able to consciously recognize him in my dream, but then I woke up immediately. While possible, it takes practice to be able to successfully converse with loved ones in your dreams.

Visiting in Your Dreams

Loved ones in spirit use dreams and visions as one of the many ways to get messages to you and to help you with your life. They do this because they have been trying to communicate in different ways while you are awake. Learning how your loved ones in spirit communicate and send you signs opens the beautiful connection you have with one another beyond life on Earth. When they visit you in your dreams, I hope you take comfort in knowing they are there to help you with your journey, as well as all the joys and challenges we experience.

Not Seeing Signs from Your Loved Ones in Spirit? Here Are Reasons Why This Occurs

When a loved one crosses over into Heaven, they often send signs to let their loved ones on earth know they are in existence in spirit and still connected with them, as well as to share their love and let them know they are doing well in Heaven. Often, these signs can be very strong soon after their crossing. This is because they are still vested in the people they love on earth and want to bring them assurance and comfort during their time of grief. The signs must be very strong during these times because grief tends to immerse our souls in sadness, effectively blocking awareness of that which exists outside of ourselves. Because they recently crossed over, loved ones in spirit usually have an experienced guide with them to help orchestrate the occurrence of these signs.

Signs from Heaven

Immediately after a loved one in spirit crosses, it may seem as though there are no signs at all, or the signs may be very strong and clear then seem to lessen or disappear altogether. There are many reasons why it may seem as though loved ones in spirit are not sending as many signs or any signs at all. First, let us explore the ways loved ones in spirit send signs and examples of some of the stronger ones which may occur soon after they cross over into Heaven.

Soon after a loved one in spirit crosses over into Heaven, they are often eager to send a sign to their loved ones on earth letting them know they have crossed over into Heaven, as well as to send their love and comfort. Often, loved ones in spirit are accompanied by a guide to help them during their time of transition and these guides assist with the sending of signs.

Because people in spirit no longer have a physical body with which to send communications, they use the universal soul-to-soul form of communication, also known as spirit communication or mediumship, which is a much richer method for transmitting information. This method can utilize all the senses to provide a deep and direct connection with those they are trying to communicate with. The options are limitless when it comes to the many ways loved ones in spirit can send signs. Here are some examples of strong signs sent soon after a loved one crosses over into Heaven:

  • Seeing a loved one in spirit fully manifested in energy form, much like the appearance of a ghost, in which you see them in a slightly transparent form of themselves (Note: This takes a tremendous amount of energy and, therefore, a rare occurrence.)
  • Seeing loved ones in spirit in dreams
  • Finding coins or feathers in unusual places
  • Seeing repeated visual signs which remind you of the loved one in spirit, such as their favorite places in the world, hobbies, jobs, their name, or their relationship to the recipient, as well as butterflies, ladybugs, dragonflies, hummingbirds, doves, and more
  • Smelling a strong scent in the air which is reminiscent of the loved one who passed, such as their perfume or cologne, cigar or cigarette smoke, or the scent of their home
  • Catching a quick glimpse out of the corner of your eye of a presence in the form of the loved one in spirit or as a dark shadow (Note: Dark shadows are often misidentified as ominous entities, when they are really loved ones in spirit who are partially manifesting.)
  • Feeling as though a loved one in spirit placed a hand on one’s shoulder or affectionately touching your face – this feeling can be accompanied by a tingling sensation on the shoulder or face
  • Feeling a presence with you that is comforting
  • Hearing the voice of a loved one in spirit saying your name or words of comfort
  • Songs playing on the radio about Heaven or that remind you of a loved one in spirit
  • Electronics acting up for no explainable reason (e.g., blinking lights, electronic screens freezing up or digitizing, children’s toys or music devices playing on their own, etc.)
  • And much more

Reasons Why Signs from Loved Ones in Spirit Seem to Lessen or Not Occur

Often, people on earth expect their loved ones in spirit to manifest like a ghost in front of them and be able to hold a long conversation with them with questions and answers. This may happen; however, it is very, very rare. The energy it takes to do this is tremendous and the loved ones in spirit may not know how to do this immediately after crossing over. Instead, signs are sent to get their messages through. What happens though when it seems these signs are lessening over time or seem to disappear?

Again, there are many reasons why signs may seem to lessen or not be present at all. It is not because your loved ones no longer care for you. They do and they are around you whether you are aware of their presence or not. Here are some examples as to why it may be challenging to recognize signs or why they seem to have dissipated:

  • Strong grief can temporarily block the ability to recognize signs (Note: This is because deep grief turns the attention inwards and can be all encompassing at times. Experiencing grief after loss is a natural process in which we need to give ourselves time to process our feelings and emotions, as well as time to adjust to the major transitions and changes to our lives.)
  • Not knowing how loved ones in spirit send signs or communicate with loved ones on earth
  • Expecting the same sign every time
  • Loved ones in spirit give us space to heal our hearts (Note: If they constantly made their presence known, those of us on earth would have difficulty moving forward because their presence may potentially prevent us from adapting to not having them physically with us on earth. This is a major transition for both you and your loved one. Even though your souls remain connected, adjustments need to be made and acknowledged for healing to take place.)
  • Times when loved ones in spirit are not allowed to interfere with decisions we need to make. It is during these times that it will feel as though they are not with us.
  • We are very sad or focusing too much on the mundane issues of life, which eats up focus and closes us off to recognizing signs
  • Misconstruing signs as representations of negative entities
  • Missing or dismissing signs due to lack of knowledge, fear, sadness, skepticism, or disbelief
  • Not giving yourself time to heal and adjust to the major transitions which occur when a loved one crosses over into Heaven, which can lead to a desperate search for signs when loved ones in spirit are trying to give you time and space to heal
  • They are learning how to send signs to loved ones on earth and participating in activities in Heaven which temporarily suspend the sending of signs

Be Kind to Yourself and Know Your Loved Ones in Spirit Are There for You

As with any major transition in our lives, we need time to adjust to the changes. While we are processing grief on earth and living our lives, our loved ones in spirit are also adjusting to their existence in Heaven. You and your loved ones in spirit are connected through the hearts of your spirits. There is nothing that can break the bond of the love you share. Be kind to yourself by giving yourself time to grieve, learn about how loved ones in spirit communicate and send signs, and have patience with yourself and your loved ones in spirit. They are there for you and will send signs when the time is right for you.

Experiencing Paranormal Activity? It Could Be Your Loved Ones in Spirit

There is much more to our world than what appears to be. Our loved ones who have crossed over into Heaven have amazing access to our world, which means they can not only communicate across dimensions, but also can make their presence known to us in ways that use all our senses. They do not mean to frighten you with their activity, but rather, they want to get your attention to let you know they are around and to share helpful information with you about your life or the lives of those you love. Anyone who has lost a loved one can experience paranormal activity. It does not mean you have a ghost in your home, but rather loved ones in spirit who are doing their best to let you know you are loved and supported. Knowing how they do this will help you to understand communications across dimensions and why it is happening.

There are many ways in which loved ones in spirit try to gain your attention. If you are ignoring their subtler signs, which can easily happen if you are not aware of the signs, they may increase their activities to the point in which you cannot ignore them. Usually, this is when people reach out to me to figure out what is going on. Here are some examples of how loved ones in spirit try to get your attention:

Visual Signs

  • Seeing them, a bar of light, or shadow out of the corner of your eye. Most of the time when you turn to look, the shape or image is no longer visible.
  • Repeatedly seeing numbers that remind you of a loved one in spirit, such as a house number, birthday, death date, anniversary, or favorite number.
  • Seeing repeated visual reminders of them in the form of images or words, such as frequent references to their favorite activities, jobs they worked, or favorite locations.
  • Visitations in your dreams.
  • The appearance or images of butterflies, ladybugs, cardinals, blue jays, dragonflies, hummingbirds, hawks, rainbows, coins, and more could be a sign that a loved one in spirit is near.
  • Moving objects, such as tilting pictures or artwork, knocking a picture or artwork over or off the wall, making a rocking chair rock on its own, or moving a small object like a pen.
  • Removing objects from your space and returning them. Often the objects are important to you or them, such as jewelry, photographs, keys, or watches.
  • Electronics acting up, including the digitizing of your television screen, the freezing or malfunctioning of phones and computers in a strange manner, lights blinking or blowing out, or car windows malfunctioning (going up and down on their own).
  • Seeing your loved one in spirit fully manifested in front of you like a ghost (rare but does occur). They do not do this often because it takes a tremendous amount of energy to do this and it can sometimes be disconcerting to the person seeing them.

Auditory Signs

  • Hearing your name being called in their voice.
  • Hearing music that reminds you of them, especially if it is a song you would not normally hear or hearing it with perfect timing to coincide with your thinking of them.
  • Hearing music that plays in your head. As a note, they use this method to get direct messages to you. Look up the lyrics.
  • Hearing their name or nickname spoken by someone else.
  • Experiencing a radio or musical device acting up or turning on by itself with or without a power source.
  • Hearing people speaking when no one is physically in your presence. You may or may not be able to decipher the words.
  • Receiving thoughts that feel as though they are not your own and are heard in your own voice. They may come through as a word or phrase intended to help you. Loved ones in spirit will never send information telling you to hurt yourself or another.

Sensory Signs

  • Feeling the presence of a loved one in spirit. There is a heightened awareness or feeling that your loved one in spirit is with you.
  • Feeling a touch, as though someone placed their hand on your shoulder or arm.
  • Feeling a wash of love from head to toe. This is when tingles start at the top of your head and travel throughout your body. This is one of the ways loved ones in spirit send you hugs from Heaven.
  • Mysterious pains or sensations associated with a loved one’s ailments or passing. Usually, this occurs with spirit mediums who are trained to decipher the difference between personal ailments and sensory communications from loved ones in spirit.

Olfactory Signs

  • Smelling a scent that reminds you of them or you attribute to them. It usually does not belong where you are and is very strong, such as a perfume or cologne, cigarette smoke, chocolate, mothballs, or a favorite food they cooked or baked. You may be the only one who smells it.

Gustatory Signs

  • Experiencing a strong craving or taste for food they made or liked, as well as tasting cigarette or cigar smoke.

There are numerous ways loved ones in spirit let you know they are around. None of them should be ominous or threatening in any way. Fears can be heightened when there is a lack of understanding about how the spirit world operates, which is why there is a lot of misinformation out there regarding this topic. Many books, movies, and television shows have notoriously depicted paranormal activity as demonic beings intent on harming you. This is due to misunderstanding how spirit communication works from the Other Side, as well as the purposeful heightening of the fear factor for attention-getting purposes in film and television shows. To this day, I have never encountered anything I considered demonic or a poltergeist. Even if something like that did exist, I give it no power. The majority of the time, it is your loved ones in spirit trying to help you with your life or letting you know they are around loving and supporting you. Loved ones in spirit will also send you repeated signs to provide guidance for your life. If you are unsure of what your loved ones in spirit are attempting to convey, you can always book a reading with a professional spirit medium to receive direct messages from your loved ones in spirit. As a side note, those who had a funny or mischievous side to their personality in life still have that and will delight in having a bit of fun with you regarding their signs and the movement of objects.


When Paranormal Activity is More Pronounced or Disturbing
It is important to note that there are times when I and others have encountered heightened paranormal activity which can be disturbing if you do not know the source of the activity and why it is occurring in a jarring way. The sources of these disturbances tend to be a being in spirit who has not crossed over into Heaven, and they may cause stronger activity that come across as frightening, such as slamming doors or breaking objects. These souls, who have not crossed over into Heaven, are temporarily stuck between dimensions and are frustrated with their situation. They mean you no harm and are not upset with you. They are in your presence because you are open to the energies of souls in spirit, whether you are aware of that or not. They are desperate to get your attention in order to receive help in crossing over to the Other Side. There are many reasons why a soul does not cross over right away, such as not believing they belong in Heaven because of what they were taught on Earth or because they feel they have not completed tasks on Earth. What they need is compassion and assistance to cross over fully into Heaven. Whenever I come across souls in this situation, I help them by reopening the gateway and calling in the Archangels to help them transition from this world to the next. If you are experiencing disturbing paranormal activity, it is a good idea to check with a professional spirit medium to have them look into the activity to determine who it is and what needs to be done. Just telling these souls to leave will not work. If they could leave on their own, they would. It is also important to note that souls who are stuck between worlds are not necessarily tied to a particular location on Earth. Where they decide to hang out has to do with their connection with the people there or the location itself. Their presence is usually accompanied by a heavy or negative feeling due to their frustration and heavier energies of the Earth which have not been fully shed for the higher and lighter vibrational energies which accompany souls in Heaven. Again, these are not poltergeists or demons, but souls in a frustrating situation who need assistance crossing over to the Other Side.

It Is All About Love

In essence, when you are experiencing paranormal activity, it is most likely your own loved ones in spirit letting you know they are around. Their paranormal activities usually increase around important events, occasions, and holidays, as well as when you are going through challenging times. In addition, about a week or two before and a week or two after you see a spirit medium for a reading, they increase their activities because they are excited about being able to bring through direct messages and communications to you.

Our world is an amazing place that is so much more than what is perceived on the surface. The good news is, that it all revolves around the love that connects each and every one of us through the hearts of our spirits. The next time you experience unusual or paranormal activity ask, with your thoughts, who it is in spirit who is responsible for the activity. Whoever you think of first is who it is. Say hello and thank them for their presence. They love it when you recognize their signs and they love they send.

The Archangels and their Divine Responsibilities

Each one of us has a Heavenly Support Team which is made up of God, the Archangels, past spiritual masters (highly spiritual beings who walked the Earth), spirit guides, and loved ones in spirit. All of these beings hear your prayers which are sent through the invisible network at heart of our spirits which connects us with all beings. When praying, many appeal to our Creator, God, with prayers first and foremost. When calling on specific Archangels, past spiritual masters, spirit guides, and loved ones in spirit to help, we are asking God’s appointed specialists and volunteers to assist us directly through the gifts bestowed upon them by God to act as an advocate on our behalf for the delivery and answering of our prayers.

The Archangels have been given the monumental task of managing life on Earth, including the creation and facilitation of soul contracts, life paths, the spiritual development of souls, order within the natural world, and much more. Each Archangel has a different area of expertise which works in conjunction with all of the other Archangels to ensure the best possible journeys for all on Earth while working in tandem with Heaven and God’s plans.

The Archangels Assist Humankind

There are many orders of angels. The Archangels, by special appointment by God, have been tasked with the helping of humanity as we journey through our lives on Earth. Each one has specific areas of concentration and can be called upon at any time for assistance. The Archangels do not tire and can be in more than one place at a time. They like us to call on them for help, for it is within the asking that we acknowledge their presence and can attribute the miracles we experience to their loving assistance and God’s hand.

While it is comforting to have a formal prayer to request assistance, it is not necessary. When I ask for help, I speak to the Archangels as I would with my best friends, in a conversational tone. It is important to note that the way the Archangels appear to me may be slightly different for each person with regard to the colors of the energies, what they are holding, and the form of the animal spirit. Your personal experiences with the Angels and how they appear to you can be a very unique experience which is dependent upon your personal symbols and databank of experiences. Archangels can appear to you with either male or female attributes. As beings in spirit, there is no set gender and, therefore, will come to you in the form with which you are most comfortable. The list below includes some of the more well-known Archangels, including brief explanations of their areas of expertise and what you can call on them for, as well as how they appear to me in energetic form, relatable visual images seen through my gifts of clairvoyance (aka., extrasensory seeing), and symbolic animal forms.

Archangel Michael – The Great Defender and Protector

Of all the Archangels, Michael is the head of this order. He is often depicted with sword in hand. He appears to me as bright and shimmering golden energy (this color is associated with the higher heavenly energy chakras located well above the head), as an image of a brilliant golden wing, in human form dressed in white with wings and carrying a sword or glowing with a gold aura, and in the form of birds of prey, such as falcons and hawks. He is the Great Defender of all that is good. He can be called upon for strength and courage, as well as protection. He often appears to let you know you are protected and loved. His presence is reassuring and powerful. In healing situations, he is there to strengthen the determination to heal, provide positive energy through love, and encourage the continual search for truth within the depths of your soul. His healing extends to all aspects of the mind, body, and spirit, including healing from the loss of a loved one, addictions, physical ailments, depression, the restoration of faith, and assistance with the cutting of relationship cords. Archangel Michael is also the protector of those who work within the light of God.

Archangel Raphael – The Divine Healer of Physical Ailments

This amazing Archangel has been tasked with the healing of humankind on every level, but especially for the healing of the physical bodies of all living creatures. Raphael appears to me as deep royal blue energy (this color is associated with the third-eye chakra located on the forehead between the eyebrows), in human form dressed in white with wings and hands held at chest-level facing outward to bring healing or with a stunning azure blue aura, and in the form of a wolf or deer. The nurturing energies of the wolf as it cares for its young, as well as its strong loyalty and fierce protectiveness are combined to help with the healing process. Archangel Raphael may appear in the form of a deer as a sign of reassurance regarding healing and as a reminder to be gentle with the self and others as you go through the healing process. Call on Archangel Raphael when you or those that you love are in need of healing of the physical body.

Archangel Azrael – The Benevolent Transformer of Mental and Emotional Anxieties

A tower of strength, this Archangel’s responsibilities include helping us to heal from the loss of a loved one, as well as from depression and illnesses which affect our mental and emotional systems. Archangel Azrael also helps those in the process of transitioning from life on Earth to an existence in Heaven. This Archangel appears to me as bright red energy, which is associated with the root chakra at the base of our spines. Red is a grounding energy which helps us to be at home here on Earth. Archangel Azrael also appears to me in human form dressed in white holding a red, glowing heart symbolizing the love employed with healing, and as a reminder of our connection with one another through unconditional love. Doves are another form Archangel Azrael takes as they are signs of peace and carry with them the reminder to be at peace with yourself and your circumstances. When calling on Archangel Azrael for assistance with stressful situations, addictions, grief, depression and mental or emotional illnesses, the person on the receiving end of the assistance may experience an unusual state of calm which settles over them. It is not a euphoric feeling, but rather one of stability and inner stillness because Azrael is preventing the negative voice of the human ego from penetrating and taking over the thoughts of the recipient.

Archangel Uriel – The Divine Pillar of Solitary Strength

This Archangel also appears in human form with wings and dressed in white carrying a lantern to light the way or in the animal form of a blue jay or blue bird. Archangel Uriel helps us to learn how to be alone without being lonely, how to appreciate our own company, and how to delve within our spirits to reveal the mysteries of our existence. In this manner, Archangel Chamuel brings us great warmth within our hearts and encourages us to reach out to others with love and caring, as well as to provide caring for ourselves. Finding Moments of Serenity in a Challenging World

Spirit Island - Jasper, Alberta, CanadaLife on this earth can be very challenging and trying. Between the seeming mountains of responsibility, the complicated relationship dynamics, and an inordinate amount of negativity on the internet and television, it can seem like an insurmountable task to find serenity within our souls. While we are here to learn lessons for our souls, we do not have to take the hard road or get swallowed up by the less than wonderful moments in our lives. Nor do we need to expose ourselves to other people’s agendas that are based on fear rather than love. We can choose to find the positive reasons for negative circumstances – yes, they do exist, and if you look for them, you will find them. We can also choose to carve out moments of happiness for ourselves to keep us going, lighten our hearts, and create joyful memories we can call upon when times get rough.

Events on Earth Can Be Frustrating

As you know, we do not always get what we want, when we want it. This can be frustrating at best, and crushing at worst. It is the human ego within us demanding that our needs and wants are immediately met. Unfortunately, we are often disappointed when this does not occur. What can we do to ride out the storm while retaining hope for the future? Often, it takes a reminder that the circumstances we face have to do with soul contracts put in place prior to our birth. These contracts dictate the lessons we will learn for our souls while residing on earth. Since heaven is a very happy place, it is challenging for us to learn the hard and fast lessons that life on earth offers. That is why we face obstacles and trying circumstances here. This does not mean, though, that our lives are meant to be devoid of happiness. We are meant to overcome the challenges we face with love and hope, as well as the understanding that there are important reasons for events to occur. Our dreams can and do come true here. Sometimes we need to gather the fortitude necessary to have patience and faith in the beneficial outcomes of our affairs.

Finding the Reasons

When I find myself becoming frustrated with the length of time it is taking to see my dreams come to fruition, I remind myself to step back and stop worrying. God and the angels know what we are in need of, and they will provide it when the time is right for us. When I look back on my life, I can see the impeccable timing of the gifts I have been given. I can also understand why certain circumstances had to occur when they did because they gave me the skills I needed for future endeavors. When I was going through the tough times, it was difficult for me to understand the positive reasons for their occurrence. It is only through time and thoughtful examination that the true, positive reasons revealed themselves to me. However, I had to look for them. If I were to drown my heart and thoughts in negativity, it would be very hard for me to ever see the positive meanings behind any circumstances.

Relinquish Control and Breathe

By letting go of my desire to control certain outcomes, I am clearing the way for the universe to step in and deliver my most heartfelt desires. Instead of fighting and hitting road blocks, I relinquish control and focus on activities that bring me joy. Fretting and worrying do not change circumstances, they only waste time. Living in the present and making the most of my current circumstances helps me appreciate and enjoy who I am, as well as those around me. A great way to bring your focus back to the present is to simply breathe. Place your hands on your heart and concentrate on your breath as you inhale in through your nose. Envision positive energy flowing in as the air flows into your body. Take a brief pause, then exhale through your mouth while envisioning the release of negative energies. Your breathing should sound like the ocean. This relaxing Finding Your Center exercise is great to use for calming anxieties, focusing your energy on the present, and helping you speak from the heart.

You Are Given the Power to Succeed

When God wants you to do something, you will be given the abilities, the strength of will, and the resources to do it. You will also receive repeated signs and messages pointing you toward those goals. Divine intervention will lead you to the path you are to follow, and it often happens in ways that are wonderful and, at times, miraculous. It takes an open mind to see beyond the obvious to the extraordinary signs and circumstances delivered by your heavenly support team. When you recognize it, your heavenly support team cheers, because you acknowledged all of their hard work on your behalf. Your gratefulness will lead to even more events and divine intervention, as they know you are paying attention and appreciating their assistance.

Serenity is Vital to Your Path

It is important for your overall well being to create moments of serenity, especially when you feel most anxious or harried by the events of life. Remember, you have an incredible team of heavenly beings that love and support you. It is their desire to help guide you to the best possible paths for you. You can help them with their efforts by learning how to create and invite moments of calm in your life. It is in the stillness that you are most receptive to the guidance that can lead you out of the darkness and into the light.

Follow Your Heart

Love Is the Reason for our Existence by Karen T. HluchanFor the most important aspects of your life, such as relationships and your vocation, the best path for you to take is the one that is dictated by your heart. When you are truly looking within, you know what you desire your life to be. The path to realizing your heartfelt desires may not be the easiest one you will take, but it will be the most rewarding because you will be fulfilling the purpose of your soul.

Throughout our lives, we create and share a variety of relationships. It is through these connections that we cultivate love and learn how to successfully communicate with one another. When you invite someone into your life, you are providing an opening for the development of a relationship. As you get to know someone, you make choices about whether the relationship is healthy and beneficial for you. If you are with someone that you know in your heart is not good for you, misery creeps into your life, especially if you continue to remain in that relationship. It is because you are allowing fear to rule your life, instead of your heart. Deep down, you know which relationships you should keep and which ones you should end. It does not matter what other people’s opinions are regarding this topic. What matters is that you follow what you know to be true for you.

With regard to jobs and careers, it is sometimes necessary for monetary reasons to work for an employer or to perform a job that is not the right one for you. If you are in a job situation in which you are deeply dissatisfied, then it is time to look within your heart to determine the path that would bring you the greatest happiness. What activities do you enjoy? What classes can you take to improve your skills? Can you turn it into a profitable vocation? How can you incorporate the activities and skills you enjoy into the work that you already perform? Keep an open mind and do your best to move beyond your fears. As you are developing your ideas and growing your skills, you may need to continue to work in the job that is not the best fit. The positive actions you are taking toward enjoyable employment will uplift your spirits and help you to endure the less desirable job situation.

Our daily challenges are to overcome the fear that holds us back from living the life we truly desire. Fear is an illusion manifested by the negative voice of the ego. An integral part of our life purposes as human beings is to step beyond the worries and fears in order to see the truth within our souls. When we do that, we are in sync with the universe and our most heartfelt desires come to life on this plane. The path to your happiness and the answers to your questions can be found within your heart, the place through which your soul speaks.

Any time you feel you need assistance, whether it is for strengthening your resolve, support in making the changes that would usher in more happiness in your life, or more faith in yourself or your dreams, you can ask God and the angels for their help. They are there for you and will guide you and support you. Have patience, listen to the guidance provided to you through your heart, and trust that everything will work out for the best for you…and it will.
