Have you ever seen a dark shape floating down the hall, a flash of movement out of the corner of your eye as if something or someone was there but when you look you see nothing out of the ordinary, or an orb of energy that you are not quite sure you are actually seeing in person, on videos, or in photographs? Are these frightening specters (ghosts), loved ones in spirit, an ominous presence around you, or angels? The dark shapes, flashes of movement, and orbs are all examples of paranormal experiences people have had and often misunderstand. Depending on the witness, these experiences can invoke fear of the unknown or wonder about the mysterious happenings.
Shadow People or Shapes
Many people report seeing dark shapes or shadows moving within their homes or places of business. Because the energy appears dark, people often misunderstand what these shapes are and immediately think it must be something otherworldly that is threatening. As ominous as they may seem, they are not. These shadowy shapes are often loved ones in spirit, both people and animals, who are visiting those they love on earth. They can also be harmless people or animals in spirit who used to reside in or visit the location. They do not have to be connected to people who are currently occupying the space. They visit because the space holds good memories for them or because they are curious about what is now happening within the space. Everything that exists is comprised of energy. When beings in spirit, including people and animals, move through our world, they may inadvertently manifest energy in this world. Because they are not consciously trying to appear fully manifested in the form they took in life, it is a blurry, shadowy shape that appears.
Flashes Out of the Corner of Your Eye of a Presence
There are other times when people catch sight of someone or something out of the corner of their eye, in which they believe they caught sight of a person or animal, but when they turn and look, there is no one there. Again, this is most often your loved ones in spirit checking in to see how you are doing. They are around you more often than you think, especially those that have volunteered to be your guardian angels. When you catch sight of them out of the corner of your eye, again, it is a brief manifestation of their energy. In this case, the sighting is intentional. it is not done to scare or upset you, but to give you a quick flash of their presence to let you know they are there.
Orbs of Energy
The most frequent sightings of orbs of energy occur in photographs and videos. The orbs are also loved ones in spirit or beings in spirit, such as the angels. They are amazing to see not only in photographs and videos, but also manifested in the air in front of you. To determine if it is an orb versus dust in the air or on the lens of a camera, it is best, if possible, to look at photographs or video taken back-to-back from the same position and lighting. If orbs are in every picture or video, then it may be dust, but if you have a series of photos or video and the orbs only show up in one or two images, then it is most likely an orb. Orbs of energy can also be seen with the naked eye. They come in many forms and colors. When my Aunt Eileen passed away in 2013, I saw a translucent orb of energy with moving rainbow facets in the shape of an elongated oval. The orb appeared in front of me as I stood outside of her house, then it moved around me in an arc and went through the closed screen door leading into her home. It was with a sense of wonder that I viewed the orb, as I knew it was her moving amongst the family members who had gathered at her home. On a different occasion, my sister reported seeing a turquoise blue orb in the hallway of her home. It was with wonder that she looked upon the orb, as it was something she had never seen before. At the time, she did not know what it was; however, she was not afraid. She assumed it was a being in spirit paying a visit.
When Beings in Spirit Fully Manifest Like Ghosts
On rare occasions, our loved ones in spirit, both pets and people, fully manifest in the form they had in life. This is a unique experience, as it takes a tremendous amount of energy to do and because they do not want to frighten people by appearing like a ghost in front of you. When I was 16, I saw my great-grandmother standing in the doorway of my bedroom. I did not know her well in life as she crossed over into Heaven when I was very young. When I saw her standing there fully manifested, I first questioned whether I was seeing what I was seeing. As I continued to look at her, I observed that she appeared to be slightly transparent. She did not say anything but stood looking at me with a gentle smile on her face. The incident only lasted a minute or two, but it left a lasting positive impression on me. It was an amazing experience. Many people report seeing fully manifested loved ones in spirit sitting on their bed or in their room around the time the loved one in spirit passed. Some of the loved ones in spirit can be heard saying “I love you,” or expressing that it is time for them to leave this earth, while others are a presence in the room in the way I described the visit from my deceased great-grandmother.
Giving Proof of Our Existence Beyond Life on Earth
The experiences described above are examples of how much more there is to our existence than appears to be and that we exist in spirit beyond life on earth. When and if you experience these unusual phenomena, I hope you can now look upon them in wonder instead of fear.
