How to Make the Most of Your Spiritual Reading

Peace Rose A spirit medium reading is a deep spiritual connection with Heaven in which communications from loved ones in spirit come through to bring healing of the soul, love, closure, reassurance, insights into current and future events, life guidance, glimpses of what they are doing in Heaven and who they are with, how and when they visit loved ones on Earth, signs they send, and much more. It is a sacred exchange in which they bring insight from a higher perspective to help you and those you love on a soul level. It should be approached with respect for the complex spiritual process, as well as for the divine insights which go well beyond our limited view of the world and our existence.

Knowing More About You Than You Realize

Loved ones in spirit know more about your life path than you do. This is because they see events and situations from a higher perspective. They work closely with the Archangels and God and are fully aware of past and current events. In addition, they have access to your akashic records which contain the soul lessons and plans for your life, as well as all that was, is, and will be for you and those you love on Earth. These are some of the many reasons that when sitting for a reading to receive divine communications from them, it is important to remain open to how they come through, as well as the messages they would like to convey.

Reasons for Why They Are Coming Through a Certain Way and the Messages They are Bringing

When loved ones in spirit are coming through to communicate, they know their time is limited to deliver what needs to be shared. Because of this, they bring through specific information from their life or yours which can be packed with multiple meanings and messages within the messages. This information may be surprising at first because it may not match your preconceived notions of what they would bring. For instance, there can be a seemingly mundane reference to an event which recently occurred. When they are bringing that through, they are indicating not only their awareness of the event, but also that they were there with you as a witness in spirit. They are trying to tell you they are there not only for the important events, but also the less significant ones. As to why it is a certain loved one coming through, there are always reasons for that. Often, the loved one in spirit experienced events or situations similar to ones you are going through at the time of your reading, and they want to help you with their expertise. They know who you want to hear from. Often, that loved one often comes through; however, there may be others who can provide insights into your life or into the lives of those you love, and the information must come from them.

How Recipients of a Reading Can Unknowingly Block Communications from Heaven

When sitting for a reading, it is important to remain open to who comes through, how they come through, and what they want to share. By having preconceived notions or focusing on trying to get your loved ones in spirit to say what you want them to say, creates a block to communications. Try to think of it this way. If someone wants to tell you something important but you only want to hear what you want to hear, that person will recognize this and stop trying to communicate with you. They have something else they want to share, but you are not open and they know it. This is why I tell people to keep an open mind. It gives your loved ones in spirit the freedom to share messages about their existence and your life. Skepticism, deep grief, bias, preconceived notions about how they will come through and what they want to share, demands for specific information that you already know about to prove it is them, and only claiming them if they give you a secret word all get in the way of the free flowing of the information from your loved ones in spirit. You do not command them and neither does a spirit medium. If they know you are going into your reading with any of those issues in your mind, they can and do stop the communications until you open your heart. It is like a battle of wills. They will not bring strong and clear information until you are open to what they want to bring. I have seen this occur many times in readings in which someone was close-minded and only wanted to hear what they wanted to hear or would not claim a loved one because they thought they would come through in a certain way. Deep grief can sometimes be the cause of this as can skepticism. When this occurs, the information becomes hard to gather from the loved one in spirit. For the spirit medium, it feels like trying to repeatedly bash through a wall that is blocking communications from those in Heaven. When I recognize the issue, I try to explain to recipients what is occurring and why. Often, they state that they are open and may think they are; however, if the block is still there, they are still not releasing their anger, grief, skepticism, preconceived notions, etc., in order to allow themselves to fully open themselves to the communications their loved ones in spirit want to bring through. If they do release the block they are putting up, the communications start flowing like a fully opened faucet. It is an amazing difference when this occurs. Here are some examples of closed behaviors or mindsets and why they place blocks to communications from the Other Side:

Only Wanting to Hear from One Specific Loved One in Spirit

We have all been in a place in which we would like to hear from a specific loved one in spirit. This could be due to the closeness of your relationship, that they recently passed, or that they passed in a way that left questions as to whether they are in Heaven or are doing well in Heaven. Who comes through during a reading is as important as the messages they bring, and the messages they bring can only be brought by them. For instance, if you focus solely on hearing from your mother in spirit, you may miss out on recognizing and claiming your grandmother who also lost her mother at a young age and is coming through to help you with the healing process through her own experiences in life. Does this mean your mother will not come through? No, it does not mean that. It means that your grandmother needed to come through first to help bring healing to your life. When recipients resist or push back on this, it wastes precious time that could be used to allow your mother to come through. Another reason why your grandmother may come through first is because your mother was someone who would put others before herself. It is your mother’s subtle way of showing her personality traits. There are countless reasons why certain loved ones come through and in what order. By remaining open to whomever and whatever they bring, you give the loved ones in spirit the space they need to bring through the divine communications from a higher perspective.

Demanding to Hear from Only One Specific Loved One in Spirit

Demanding anything from anyone, alive or deceased, rarely brings the results you are looking for in any situation. Spirit mediums do not control or command loved ones in spirit. They are free souls with free will who decide when and how they want to come through. By demanding, not asking, a specific loved one to come through, you are blocking communications from loved ones in spirit who need to come through. It also puts the spirit medium in a position in which they must continually ask loved ones in spirit who are stepping up to step aside because the recipient does not want to hear from them. This wastes time and can be very frustrating for the spirit medium, the loved ones in spirit, and the recipient. Most of the time, when a loved one in spirit is ASKED to step forward, they do. Demanding is a sign that the recipient is not ready to sit for a reading. Great sadness, grief, and anger, as well as a misunderstanding of how spirit medium readings work, are often the underlying reasons for someone to demand specific loved ones in spirit to come through. If you are in a place in which your grief is overwhelming you, it is better to wait until you are in a more peaceful or accepting mindset before sitting for a reading.

Making a Pact with a Loved One in Spirit Prior to the Reading to Bring through a Certain Piece of Information

Prior to someone’s passing or right before a reading there are times when recipients attempt to plead with or make pacts with loved ones in spirit to bring through certain information to prove it is them, such as a code word, a song, or a reference to an event. For instance, the day or night before the reading the recipient may say in their mind to their best friend in spirit that they need to mention “black coffee” or “Grand Canyon” in the reading just so they really know it is them coming through. This kind of thinking displays a lack of faith in the loved one in spirit as it is a demand to try to force them to bring through information to prove themselves. When doing this, the recipient is closing themselves off from the free flow of divine information to waste time demanding to hear only what they want to hear. The recipient may also completely dismiss the loved one in spirit coming through, even though they brought many specific pieces of information which clearly defined they are the one they wanted to hear from. On an important note, loved ones in spirit may or may not give the code word or information demanded by the recipient because they have a higher purpose to bring through other information. Remember, there are reasons why they bring through information the way they do and it often contains messages within the messages. Asking why this and not that dismisses their messages they work hard to convey to help you with your life.

Thinking a Loved One in Spirit Will Come Through the Same Way Every Time

Depending upon the spirit medium or the information the loved one in spirit would like to bring through, loved ones in spirit may or may not come through in the same way as they did in a previous reading. The description they provide of themselves may change slightly, including but not limited to clothing, hair styles, personality traits, scenes from their life, and more. In this complex form of communication across dimensions, loved ones in spirit often use symbols with spirit mediums to share information. They use experiences and information familiar to the spirit medium to get their information across. Each spirit medium is different, which is why the information may come through in a slightly different way with different mediums. In addition, the loved one in spirit may need to highlight certain times in their lives to bring through a message within the message. For example, my father has come through joking and showing a photograph of himself wearing a navy blue t-shirt during a time in which he was happy. He has also come through with a feeling of sadness wearing a long sleeve red and black flannel shirt. In both instances it was him; however, he was communicating about different times in his life because the messages he shared in each reading were meant to help me with experiences in my life that he worked through on his own. There are many subtle intricacies in how loved ones in spirit communicate. There is always a meaningful reason why they are coming through in a certain way. You will be able to recognize them if you keep an open mind about how they come through and what they want to share to help you and those you love with your lives.

Having Preconceived Ideas about Messages Including Expecting or Demanding Them to Tell You About Events You Already Know About

Your loved ones in spirit are fully aware of the events taking place in your life and in the lives of those you love. When you ask them to tell you something you already know the answer to, you are demanding that they prove they know of the events you want them to acknowledge, or you are demanding they only bring through what you want to know and not what they want to share. As an example, I had a young man coming through in spirit who was showing a memory of himself as a child in a photograph. The reading was taking place over video chat and the recipient recognized the photograph as one that was sitting on a shelf a few feet from her beyond the view of the camera. The young man in spirit did this to prove he was right there in the room with the recipient as there was no way I would have known that photograph existed or that it was in the room with the recipient at that moment in time. Instead of recognizing that the young man was right there in spirit with her, the recipient kept asking if he was with her and whether he was aware of events that had taken place in her life. By showing me the photograph, he was trying to tell her that he is with her, even when she is not aware of his presence. Her demands and expectations of only wanting to hear what she wanted to hear instead of being open and accepting of what he wanted to share ate up precious time, which possibly prevented him from sharing more meaningful communications that would have brought healing to her life. As a spirit medium, I can only ask the loved one in spirit to bring through the information someone is asking about. If they decide they do not want to bring it, there is nothing I can do as I do not control them. It does not mean it is not really them or that they do not visit you in spirit. It means what you are asking for or demanding is not what they wanted to share or communicate about. Remember, they have higher purposes for information they share.

Thinking Communications from the Other Side are as Easy as Talking to Living Beings and Expecting Spirit Mediums to Know Everything

Spirit-to-spirit communication is very complex. It is not as simple as a conversation with a person on Earth. Loved ones in spirit are communicating in a telepathic way which uses all the senses of the spirit medium to transmit information in an incredibly immersive way that goes well beyond simple verbal communication. They provide images, sounds, feelings, tastes, and smells from their viewpoint as a way of providing not only identifying information for you to claim them, but also to share their messages. It can sometimes be like a cryptic shorthand in which symbols are used and messages are hidden within messages for the recipient to figure out. There are times when I need to talk through the symbols and impressions I am receiving because the loved one in spirit is sharing pieces of information that have no meaning for me but should for the recipient. By talking through it, it gives the recipient the opportunity to recognize the meaning from their loved one in spirit. Everything loved ones in spirit share has meaning. They work hard to bring through the information and messages across dimensions in this amazing way. As a spirit medium, it is my job to share every impression and piece of information, whether it has meaning to me or not. It does not have to make sense to me because I am not their loved one on Earth, nor have I lived the lives they have or been privy to their experiences on Earth or in Heaven. When loved ones in spirit share information it is on a need-to-know basis. Spirit mediums are not all-knowing or all-seeing. We are receivers of information from beings in spirit. We facilitate the process of spirit-to-spirit communication and share what we receive with recipients of a reading. We can and do ask questions of loved ones in spirit to keep the processing moving along and to attempt to get answers to inquiries by recipients of a reading; however, if the loved ones in spirit are not providing an answer to a question, a spirit medium cannot force them to answer it. When this occurs, I let the recipient know the loved one in spirit is not providing an answer to their specific question. The loved ones in spirit may not be able to answer the question because it has to do with life lessons for the recipient that they cannot interfere with or because certain events have yet to transpire that would provide a clear answer.

Being Physically Exhausted or Distracted

To get the most out of your spirit medium reading, remove distractions so that you can give your full concentration to the spiritual exchange and honor your loved ones in spirit. Turn off your phone and other electronics. Sit in a quiet space without pets, kids, or other people if possible. Do not operate machinery, such as a car. Being physically exhausted or under the influence of alcohol or drugs can also be a significant block to communications from the Other Side. This is because the ability to think clearly is impaired. A spirit medium reading is a three-way communication which requires the loved ones in spirit, the spirit medium, and the recipient to be open and receptive to the information coming through. As the recipient, being able to think and recall information is very important as you need to claim your loved ones as they come through. They may also be bringing up significant memories they want you to remember. Getting a good night’s sleep and staying sober will help keep the lines of communication clear.

How to Remain Truly Open to a Reading

To remain truly open to a reading and get the most out of the spiritual communications from beyond our world, clear your mind and heart, sit in a location without distractions, be alert and sober, and remove all expectations about who will come through, how they will come through, and the information or messages they will share. By doing so, you allow your loved ones in spirit to share the most meaningful information to help you and those you love on Earth, which can be positively life changing on many levels.

Glimpses of Heaven

People often ask me, what is Heaven like and what are my loved ones doing up there? As a Spirit Medium, I have the unique ability to communicate with those on the Other Side, and in the process, they often show me glimpses of Heaven.

Our universe is much bigger and more diverse than most people on Earth can fathom. There are other worlds and dimensions which we travel to as souls for unique learning experiences. Our home base is Heaven, which is the starting point from which we are created, and it is the place we return to after our many adventures to other worlds and dimensions. As souls depart for the Earth and other destinations, other souls return to be welcomed home.

Heaven is not only our home base, but it is also the place where we rest and recuperate after our adventures. It is a place of healing, love, knowledge, and learning. It is a hive of activity with beings coming and going, beings actively involved in the inner workings of Heaven, magnificent reunions with gala parties for the recently returned, lifetime reviews, and much more.

Arrival in Heaven

Upon arrival in Heaven, we are greeted by all our loved ones in spirit that we want to be reunited with. The delegation of loved ones in spirit who assisted us in our crossing over into Heaven, usually one to three loved ones in spirit or Angels, help us to navigate our way through Heaven and to visit loved ones on Earth to see the events occurring since our passing. We often like to check on those still on Earth to see how they are doing and we often attend our memorial services. Many in spirit are in attendance for our memorial services and life celebrations, to help support us and those on Earth who are mourning our passing. Until we are ready to visit our loved ones on Earth on our own, our guides stay with us. Older souls are much faster at being able to communicate on their own across dimensions. Younger souls can take classes in Heaven to help them learn how to communicate via their spirits, send signs, appear in dreams, and manipulate energy on Earth to move objects, and more.

Creating Your World

Heaven truly is what we make of it. Resources are only limited by our minds and the levels we reached in our soul’s evolvement. We can create homes using thought and they can be whatever we want them to be. For instance, you can have a quaint cottage by a lakeshore or a majestic castle with many rooms. Whatever you would like your personal slice of Heaven to be is what it is. Beautiful imagery of homes and collective spaces, which are the collaborative efforts of many to create beautiful environments, have been shared with me, including magnificent landscapes, Victorian-era towns and cities, stunningly beautiful parks with elegant flowers and trees, ancient temples from Atlantis, and much, much more. Often, loved ones in spirit show me the homes they grew up in recreated in Heaven, as well as dream homes with glorious views of mountains, gleaming bodies of water, and rolling hills with amazingly green grass. The colors up there are gorgeous and much more intense than they are on Earth.

We also have the power to control our personal appearance in Heaven. I have frequently seen loved ones in spirit, including pets, as the younger versions of themselves enjoying their time in Heaven. We usually opt to look like we did on Earth because that is what we are used to; however, it is usually the younger versions of ourselves in our prime.

It is my impression that the level of what you can do in Heaven and where you reside correlates with the level your soul has reached with its evolution. For example, a younger soul who committed crimes on Earth because they had not yet learned the way of love, do not have the same abilities and access to certain areas of Heaven. In addition, there are many spiritual hospitals for these souls, as well as institutions of learning to help them to better comprehend the true purpose of their existence. Older souls not only have greater expertise, but also greater access. They are free to create what they wish and can travel to more locations in Heaven and beyond.

Activities in Heaven

In Heaven, time does not run on the same cycles as it does on Earth. I have not yet been provided with an equivalent measure, and this may be because one does not exist or that it is to remain a mystery from humankind for now. However, I do know we have plenty of time up there to explore a whole host of activities.

After a lifetime on Earth, we often need time to recover from the rough and tumble ride we encountered. All our physical, spiritual, and mental ailments automatically disappear because our souls are no longer housed in a physical body. Our minds and souls also receive healing. Those in need of deep healing have shown me themselves in what I refer to as the Spiritual Hospital, which is much like a mental health hospital on Earth except with angels in attendance to facilitate the healing process. As on Earth, there are inpatient programs and outpatient programs depending on the needs of the soul. As healing occurs, these souls are gradually integrated into existence in Heaven to fully enjoy the paradise of Heaven’s offerings.

Those who have healed or are ready to fully enjoy their time in Heaven often send me images of themselves relaxing and participating in their favorite pastimes, such as fishing, creating art, and spending time with people and pets who have crossed over before them. Because of the love shared between souls, loved ones in spirit often visit their friends and family here on Earth to see how they are doing. They are allowed to help in certain ways with our lives through the sending of signs and messages, as well as taking part in events with the approval of the Archangels. They cannot, however, alter the soul contracts we agreed to prior to birth. Because of this, it may sometimes seem as if God, the Archangels, and loved ones in spirit are not helping you. In actuality, they are because they are helping you to fulfill the lessons you agreed to learn in your soul contract.

Because our souls continue to exist and grow, Heaven offers opportunities to learn new skills and meet other souls, similar to the way we do on Earth. Images and information have been sent to me during readings of loved ones in spirit taking classes in music and art, as well as spirit-to-spirit communication and how to work with the energies on Earth and in Heaven.

In Heaven, we can also volunteer for jobs. They are not like jobs on Earth. You choose what you would like to do, such as becoming a guardian angel, a muse, or a greeter at Heaven’s gates. Many souls enjoy being of service. Heaven offers many opportunities to bring to your spirit what you need most.

The Hall of Records

Within our magnificent home base of Heaven, there is a Hall of Records which contains information about everything that was, is, and will be for each of our souls. The files, which are referred to as the Akashic Records, contain our soul contracts for each past and present lifetime, as well as every detail of the lifetimes we have lived and are living and information about future events for our souls. The future events are written in outline form and can be updated depending upon the actions we take in our current lifetimes. This is because of free-will. There are events which are scheduled to occur in alignment with agreed-to soul contracts; however, the minute details may not be written yet due to constantly changing conditions here on Earth based on the free-will decisions we make.

When I am shown the Hall of Records, I see a large, white Parthenon-style building with a wide set of stairs leading up to a landing with six regal columns. Scattered throughout the image are people dressed in many different styles of clothing, as well as scholars and attendants in comfortable white- or cream-colored tunics and gowns. Past life information can be accessed within the Hall of Records in an interactive manner, which allows visitors to delve into the past to retrieve information in a way that immerses them in their experiences.

The Archangels, who are tasked with overseeing everything having to do with mankind and Earth, retain control of the Hall of Records and work with many orders of Angels to help facilitate events on Earth which coincide with soul plans and lessons for all on Earth. Guardian angels, some of whom are people who lived on Earth who volunteer to help their loved ones, are also given tasks and permission to send communications by the Archangels. For those who volunteer to be guardian angels to loved ones on Earth, they are given specific access to the Akashic Records for those they are watching over. They are allowed to communicate approved information through dreams, signs, and spirit to spirit communication – either directly or through a Spirit Medium.

Epiphanies from Heaven and the Universal Mind

Heaven is an imagination hub, where all ideas are hatched and sent through epiphanies to souls meant to bring them to fruition based on their soul contracts. The idea hatchery is often referred to as the Universal Mind. The ideas are shared at the appropriate time and place by God and the Archangels. It is then the job of the Archangels to assign a muse to share the ideas with the beings destined to bring the ideas to fruition on Earth or in another world or dimension.  Specific orders of angels, as well as loved ones in spirit who have volunteered to serve as muses, are responsible for the actual transmission of the ideas to the matching soul. There is a significant amount of real-time organization which takes place to facilitate this process. Many events and circumstances need to be lined up at the proper times to bring ideas to light with the proper resources for the recipient.  It is an incredible process which is also employed for the events and circumstances in our daily lives, in which we are placed in situations which encourage optimum opportunities for working through the lessons we agreed to in our soul contracts.

Why Do We Leave Heaven?

People often ask me if Heaven is so wonderful, why do we leave it for another lifetime? We do this to accelerate the growth of our souls. The lack of negativity in Heaven provides a certain kind of learning that is missing the great challenges of life on Earth. We come to Earth for strong and fast lessons and then return to Heaven when our lessons have been completed. There are very important reasons why we need to be here and why we have the experiences we do. Some of the most important lessons have to do with our spiritual journey of rediscovering who we are, why we are here, what exists beyond life on Earth, and much more. Once we return to Heaven, we have time to rest and enjoy activities we love while waiting for our loved ones on Earth to join us at their designated time. The love we share with one another keeps us connected across all dimensions because love is at the heart of our very existence. Once we are reunited with our closest soul groups, we decide where and when we would like our next adventure to begin.

How to Ease Your Mind of Fears and Worries

The human mind is an amazing source for all our emotions and thoughts, the functioning of our physical body, and much more. It is also the home of the human ego, which is a mechanism put in place as an obstacle meant to present us with challenges in our lives. While it can encourage us to keep striving to do better, it can also provide negative messages which can have the opposite effect. At times, it is the negative voice in your head trying to convince you that events will not work out to your advantage, that you are not good enough to succeed, and a whole host of other negative thoughts and statements that are illusions born out of fears, worries, and regrets. The human ego is persuasive and persistent with its messages. It can be difficult to tune it out when it tries to drum out positive thoughts with a relentless interjection of worries, fears, and regrets that play in your head. It is possible to learn how to minimize the negative voice of the human ego and release yourself from its hurtful and time-wasting mind chatter. Here are some ways that may help you to open your mind to the wonderful possibilities present in your life every day:

  1. Know that the negative voice of the human ego is skilled at providing illusions meant to veer you off track and block you from achieving your dreams. Acknowledge the negative thoughts by thanking your ego for its input and letting it know they are not necessary and then replace the negative thoughts with positive affirmations about yourself or your circumstances.
  2. Focus on the present. You are safe and you are loved at this moment. Count the blessings you have, no matter how big or small.
  3. Have confidence in your ability to overcome adversity. You have done so in the past and you will do so again.
  4. Make a gratitude list of everything you are thankful for, including all the beautiful qualities you possess that make you who you are.
  5. Know that every situation, no matter how negative, has a positive reason for occurring. Keep looking for the positive reasons and you will find them. You may not recognize them right away, but your guys and gals in heaven know you are searching for answers and will send epiphanies your way when you are ready to accept them. The more you practice this, the faster the epiphanies will come to you. This will also help clear your mind of worries and fears while helping you recognize workable solutions.
  6. Review your life and see how circumstances seemed to miraculously line up for you. Can you recognize how one situation led to another and how you benefitted from the progress you made? Once you can recognize this, you are more likely to relax when circumstances appear to be challenging because you will have learned that situations have a way of working out¾sometimes better than you had ever imagined.
  7. When you are struggling with a particular situation and your stress levels are through the roof, surrender your grief and troubles to God. God wants us to ask for help and God can help us during both good times and challenging times. By asking for help and handing your problems up to God, you are surrendering your attachment to a particular outcome. This does not mean you are giving up. It means you are asking for the best resolution for you and all involved, whatever that may entail. God and your guys and gals in heaven have a much bigger picture than you do regarding your life. When you let go of continually striving for particular outcomes, you open yourself up to guidance into better outcomes than you could have imagined.
  8. Be patient, trust in the circumstances you are in, and wait for situations to unfold. Too often, the human ego creates a feeling of steady insistence for situations to go only the way we want them to go. By pushing to have your way, you may be closing yourself off from better solutions. God knows what you need, even if you do not recognize it yourself. By letting go of what you think you need, you may open the door to magnificent opportunities. Learn how to sit back and relax while waiting for instructions through repeated messages and signs from your guys and gals in heaven.
  9. Meditation is a powerful tool for helping the mind, body, and spirit return to simplicity. Put on soft instrumental music, sit or lie down in a comfortable position, and focus on your breath and the heart of your spirit. Doing so gives your mind, body, and soul the opportunity to relax and be more open to positive solutions from your Heavenly Support Team.
  10. Know that the events in your life are guided and orchestrated by life plans, also known as soul contracts. These contracts contain high-level agreements made prior to your birth on earth to experience certain lessons for your soul. Even though the lessons are chosen, the way they are presented in your life is determined once you are here on earth. One of the reasons for this is the gift of free will. You choose how you react to situations, which also determines how you move through lessons. The pace in which you learn is unique to you. Therefore, events are facilitated on earth based on your progress, as well as the progress of those around you. Often, the soul contracts of multiple people are tied into one event that is orchestrated on earth. The facilitation of this process is absolutely amazing.
  11. Know you are loved and supported by God and the angels. They have your best interests at heart and will do what they can without interfering with lessons that need to be learned.
  12. Learn how to trust God. Sometimes, pain and frustration regarding situations may cause a loss of faith in God and your life plan. One of my most important lessons had to do with learning how to trust in the circumstances I am in, as well as placing my absolute trust in God. The reward is peace and a more relaxed outlook on life (less stress, worry, and needless fears).
  13. Learn how to recognize and understand the signs and messages your guys and gals in heaven send you on a daily basis. By connecting with the spiritual side of your nature, you will more readily recognize and benefit from the assistance you receive when navigating your life.
  14. No matter what the circumstances, know that God is not punishing you or testing you. There is no doubt that life on earth can be very challenging. We agreed to come down here to learn lessons in a hard and fast way. Sometimes our greatest challenges can turn out to be our greatest triumphs. Again, keep looking for the positive in negative situations.
  15. Create a support team of friends and trusted people you can go to when you need a helping hand. Asking for help when you need it and offering it to others when they need it, helps you to acknowledge one of the fundamental reasons we exist – to love and be loved. No man or woman is an island. We all need help from time to time, and a healthy balance of give and take in your relationships will help all involved through the rough patches.
  16. Know you will be given everything you need to fulfill your destiny.
  17. Know you are in control of you and only you. You cannot control the events that occur in your life, nor can you control how others behave. The only control you have is over your reaction to those events. You decide through thoughts, actions and words how events will affect you. Remember, happiness is a choice and your thoughts determine the paths you will take and the lessons you will learn.
  18. Talk to God every day about the good and the challenging. God is right there in your heart, ready to listen and send love when you need it. Who better to talk things over with than the one who created you and has your best interests at heart?
  19. Learn to truly love who you are with honest acceptance and acknowledgement of the unique and beautiful soul you are.
  20. Remind yourself that most of your worries have never come true.
  21. Instead of letting your mind drift to the worst possible outcomes, work on visualizing the best outcomes or more positive outcomes. Try not to be too hard on yourself. This takes practice.
  22. If there is positive action that you can take, follow through with it. If you are unable to do so, let the situation go and trust you are receiving help from above.
  23. Spiritual timing and what we deem as necessary timing for events can be two different things. God knows what you need and when you need it.
  24. Do not lose sight of the love you do have in your life, including self-love, love of others, love from pets.
  25. Engage in self-care. Take care of you and participate in activities that bring you joy.
  26. Take a break from negativity. If you find yourself becoming stressed out from negative news on the television, Internet, or social media, take a break from it. While it is good to remain knowledgeable about current events, it may be healthier for your mind, body, and spirit to balance negativity with positive stories and activities.
  27. Be kind to yourself and others. Treat yourself and others the way you would like to be treated. Random and planned acts of kindness uplift your soul and state of mind. Moreover, your thoughtful acts may mean the world to someone in need.
  28. When facing challenges, it may be helpful to think in terms of “just for today.” By setting positive goals for yourself and focusing on the present, you are more likely to succeed. This will work for both short-term and long-term goals. For example, if you focus on short-term tasks related to your long-term goals, you will take steps each day toward your long-term goals.
  29. Know that miracles can and do happen each and every day¾and they can happen to you and those you love.
  30. Know that love is the soul reason for your existence.

How Heavenly Beings Help You Every Day

Have you ever had a hunch or received a thought giving you notice in advance about an event that is going to occur? Have you ever found yourself in the perfect place at the perfect time? There are no coincidences in this world. Whether you are consciously aware of it or not, your Heavenly Support Team, made up of God, the Archangels, guardian angels, past spiritual masters, spirit guides, and loved ones in spirit, help you with your life every day. They do this through repetitive external signs, strong urges, and messages sent through the invisible network that connects all souls.

Magic Occurs Every Day

There is magic in this world. Our Heavenly Support Teams help to orchestrate events in our lives to help us navigate this world. They do it because they love us and want to help us. Even though they are in Heaven, they know life on Earth can be challenging. They enjoy the benefits of Heaven while also using their access to knowledge about our lives from the Akashic Records (our soul contracts) in the Hall of Records. As long as their actions do not interfere with life lessons we need to learn, they can provide divine assistance through signs or messages, and they can direct us into situations which will benefit us and those around us. We are not alone in this world. We have entire teams of beings who help and support us from the Other Side.

Being Open to Divine Guidance

To access this extraordinary information, you need to remain open to the possibilities. The more you live your life in the present and pay attention to the world around you, the more you will receive the signs and messages, as well as understand the guidance. Moreover, learning about how your Heavenly Support Team communicates with you will help you to decipher what they are trying to share with you. The language of spirit-to-spirit communication is one of the senses, both earthly and extrasensory. We are all born with these earthly and extrasensory senses. You can learn how to access them by educating yourself about the language of the soul.

All Senses are Utilized – Earthly and Extrasensory

On Earth, we rely mainly on our physical senses – seeing, feeling, hearing, smelling, and tasting – to navigate the world around us. The stimulus around us sends signals to our brains to help us interpret the information. For example, when you smell a rose, the scent molecules your nose inhales send signals to the receptors in your brain. Simultaneously, your eyes see the rose and, if you reach out and touch it, your fingers feel it. All this information is transmitted to your brain, pieced together, and filed within your mind to form a memory. When you encounter this flower again or have an experience that triggers this memory, your mind brings forth the files providing recognition of this previously encountered flower. Extrasensory senses, the ones that connect us with other souls, mirror our physical senses; however, the information is received internally through the invisible network that connects us all. Instead of external stimuli, the information is seen within the mind’s eye, felt within the body, heard within the mind, and smelled and tasted internally. There is an additional extrasensory sense, which is claircognizance or clear-knowing. This consists of information that is known within and emerges without previous thought. Many people receive psychic or intuitive messages; however, they may not understand where the information comes from. Awareness of how the information is being received helps in the educational process about spirit-to-spirit communication along the invisible network which connects us to all beings.

Telepathic Connections Versus Spirit-to-Spirit Communication

The easiest way to give a basic understanding of spirit communication is to think of it as a telepathic connection. When you share a deep connection with another human being or animal on earth, you can sometimes receive impressions which provide insight into how someone is feeling or what they are doing at a particular time when you are not in their presence. The energetic impressions and information are sent through the invisible network at the heart of each of our spirits. The same is true for spirit-to-spirit communication. There are differences, though, as spirit-to-spirit communication must travel across dimensions from one soul to another. There is greater depth to this form of communication as it involves all the extrasensory and earthly senses to convey images, sounds, feelings, tastes, and smells from the perspective of the being in spirit transmitting the information. Symbols, which are plucked from the databank of experiences of the receiver (medium), are used to share the information faster. The symbols can also contain multiple meanings furthering the depth of what is being communicated. It is not a straightforward process as the information is sent in bits and pieces using the full range of extrasensory and earthly senses. These pieces then need to be put together like a puzzle.

Messages You Hear

There are times when you may receive a thought that does not feel like it originated from you. Most of the time, it comes through in your own voice, but you know it is not a thought that originated from you.  Other times, it comes through in the voice of a loved one in spirit or an angel, which you may or may not be able to identify. The thoughts you receive are there to provide guidance and assistance with events in your life ranging from trivial to important. The messages never contain information about hurting yourself or others, as your Heavenly Support Team is all about love and positive assistance. It may be a one-word message, or it may be a string of words providing guidance or direction about a situation you are experiencing. It could even be as simple as a reminder when you are going out the door to remember something you need to take with you. Music that plays in your head is another way loved ones in spirit and the angels send you messages. When it happens, look up the lyrics. You can research them by typing in the word “lyrics” into a search engine and type in whatever words you are hearing. You will find the song. There is a message within those lyrics for you. Again, your Heavenly Support Team will never send messages telling you to hurt yourself or anyone else. Pay attention to what you were thinking about prior to the music playing in your head. If you were just wondering about a time frame for an event and you hear a song with a time or season reference, such as the Monster Mash (October) or Hot Fun in the Summer Time, they are giving you a heads up about when it will occur.

Getting a Feeling

You may experience strong and repetitive urges to take positive action. When your guys and gals in spirit do this, they are trying to help steer you into a positive situation for you. For example, I kept getting a very strong urge to paint my bathroom as if you were immersed in the Caribbean Sea when you walked in. It was a project I had wanted to do, but the urge became so strong that I could no longer put it off. While I was in the middle of the project, one of my beloved pets crossed over to the Other Side. Painting a beautiful image is a form of meditation for me, and my guys and gals in spirit knew I needed to have a large project to work on to help me through the grieving process, and it did. There is a lot of love embedded into the murals I painted. I also know my Heavenly Support Team helped by providing healing and love while I worked on the project. There are other times in which you may have an urge to go to a specific location, such as the grocery store, only to run into a friend you have not seen in a long while. When you remain open to life, you can experience many wonderful adventures that your Heavenly Support Team helps to direct.

Seeing a Sign

Your Heavenly Support Team may also place repetitive visual clues in front of you to help you with your path. Years ago, when I was thinking of heading back to college at night while working full-time, I started receiving mailers from a nearby college. I had not applied for any colleges, nor did I ask for information to be sent. I also kept seeing billboards and references to this college on people’s cars, as well as verbal references which could not be mistaken. After looking into the college, it turned out to be an excellent option for me to take accelerated night courses. Your guys and gals in spirit do this for you, as well. They have the ability to place items in front of you and orchestrate events in such a way that it is hard to ignore.

Smelling a Scent in the Air or Craving for Foods

Your loved ones in spirit will place certain scents in the air that remind you of them to let you know they are around. You may be the only one who smells the scent. They will also give you cravings for foods they enjoyed or liked to make. This is their way of letting you know they are with you and that they love and support you. When this occurs in a reading, the loved one in spirit is transmitting information about themselves to help the recipient to claim them or they are bringing a fond memory for specific reasons known to the recipient.

Intuition: Exploring Your Soul Information Retrieval System

Arrow providing directionIntuition is an inner knowingness originating within our souls. The knowledge we acquired in all of our past lifetimes is stored within our souls. Every experience and every lesson we learned adds to our storehouses of information. This information can be called upon to help us in situations we face each day.

Soul Information Retrieval System

Our intuition, or the soul information retrieval system, sends us alerts through inner urgings about situations in order to direct us on the paths that are best for us and all concerned. Coupled with this knowledge is the guidance we receive from the Other Side. Listening and paying attention – otherwise known as being in tune with oneself – brings awareness of the messages from the soul and the Other Side. Our guys and gals in heaven – God, loved ones in spirit, the angels, past spiritual masters, and more – provide us with guidance on a daily basis.

Pay Attention to Physical Reactions to Distinguish the Truth

Intuition helps us to distinguish the truth in situations. It is the inner voice that gives us the impression or feeling that a situation may not be right or may be out of sync. It can also confirm when a situation is perfect for us or a great match for our life paths. The gift of intuition is a psychic ability that is seated in the solar plexus chakra, the energy center located in the midsection of the body below the rib cage and three inches above the belly button. When messages are being sent by our intuitive gifts, they are often accompanied by physical reactions. For example, you may experience a sinking feeling or the contraction of the stomach muscles upon receiving news. This “gut reaction” is an involuntary instinctual response triggered by the intuition to indicate a warning of possible danger to the self or others. It may also be accompanied by a quickening of the pulse and a quick surge of energy that starts in the stomach area and flows outward to all points on the body and dissipates. On the opposite end of the spectrum, when you receive positive news you may experience a sense of happiness, ease, and a temporary lightness accompanied by the relaxing of your muscles. This physical reaction signifies a release of tension associated with the circumstances. In addition, you may feel tingling or goose bumps on the back of your arm, traveling across your back, and finishing on the back of your other arm. This is what I refer to as a validation of information sent or received. It is a confirmation that the information being shared is the truth.

How Direct Guidance from Guides and Beings in Heaven Differs from Intuitive Messages

When guidance is being provided through the gift of intuition, there is a physical reaction accompanied by a feeling or inner knowingness about the information received. When beings in spirit provide guidance, it is received using one or all of the earthly or extrasensory senses. For instance, through my gift of clairsentience or extrasensory feeling, I receive “yes” or “no” answers through tinging on my left or right hands on the tops of my fingers. I discovered this when I was going to make a phone call to a potential significant other. Every time I picked up the phone to call, the fingers on my right hand started to strongly tingle, much like the feeling of pins and needles, but in a specific location on the tops of my fingers. This happened every time I went to call this person. I took that as a message not to call. I also asked my guys and gals in heaven for confirmation that it was them giving me the message, and the fingers on my left hand would tingle as an indication of “yes.” As is turns out, my guys and gals were right in preventing the call because that person was not the best match for me.  This is just one of the hundreds of ways they use to communicate with me.

To Heed or Not to Heed

When it comes to listening to your intuition or messages from above, you have the free will do to whatever you wish; however, there is a note of caution for when you decide to ignore the messages you are receiving. Ignoring them usually results in less than desirable results. The help you are receiving from your intuition and your guys and gals in heaven, otherwise known as your Heavenly Support Team, is meant for your highest good, which you may not understand at the time. I know from experience that heeding the messages usually ends up with better results for me, even if the direction I am being guided towards is not the path I personally thought was best at the time. We do not always know and see everything clearly, and it sure is wonderful to have our own internal soul information retrieval system, as well as a team of heavenly guides to help navigate us to safety in challenging situations. My advice is to listen well to the guidance. Our souls with information embedded from past lives, and our guys and gals in heaven, know our true paths much better than we do because they have direct access to the maps of our life plans created in heaven before we were born.

What is Evidential Mediumship?

Mosaic from Other SideEvidential mediumship is the practice of gathering and communicating information for the recipient of a reading to validate in order to help him or her identify the loved one in spirit who is coming through. It is very important to identify the communicator prior to the sharing of personal messages. Knowing who is communicating is as important as the messages being shared, because the specific messages could only originate from a specific being in order to have meaning and provide healing for the recipient. For instance, if a recipient received a message about a loved one in spirit saying “I love you” from the Other Side, it would be nice to hear. However, if the recipient knew the message was coming from his or her mother who had a hard time saying it while living on earth, it would take on a whole new meaning and add depth to the communication, especially when accompanied with an apology by the mother for not saying it while she was alive.

Utilizing the Extrasensory Senses

Information is transmitted between the spirit medium and the communicator using the extrasensory senses. These senses, which are gifts that a spirit medium is born with but may not always be aware of, mirror the earthly senses of seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting, and smelling; however, the stimulus is received internally rather than externally and it includes claircognizance, which is the extrasensory sense of clear-knowing. Therefore, when transmissions from another dimension occur, a spirit medium, or a person who is highly sensitive to and aware of his or her extrasensory senses, must place his or her focus on the internal information being transmitted soul to soul. It is, in essence, a form of telepathy in which information is transmitted through the transfer of energy.

How to Gather Information

To expedite the identification and validation process, the spirit medium asks questions of the communicator coming through, such as:

  • Are you male or female?
  • What did you look like?
  • What did you do for a living?
  • How did you die?
  • What was your personality like?
  • How old were you when you passed?
  • What is your relationship with the recipient?
  • Where did you reside?
  • What were your hobbies?
  • Did you have any siblings?

Requests  can also be made, such as:

  • Share with me a memory that will help the recipient identify you.
  • Show me where you lived.
  • Share with me what life was like for you.

Free Will Reigns

In response to each of the questions and requests, the communicator in spirit decides whether or not he or she prefers to answer, and if so, how he or she will answer. Free will is a gift that we retain throughout our existence, and attempting to control a communicator in spirit or demand specific answers may be met with resistance. Keep in mind, those who have ascended to heaven have a much broader view of life on earth, and they know better than we do the information we need to receive in order to heal our lives.

Enhancing the Senses

When a spirit medium consistently practices the evidential mediumship method, the communicators in spirit coming through often provide answers to the questions and requests before being asked. The answers come in a variety of forms depending on the skill level and heightened awareness of the spirit medium. Again, all of the extrasensory senses are used; however, some spirit mediums are more attuned to certain senses than others. For instance, clairvoyance, also known as clear-seeing, may come easier for one spirit medium, while clairaudience, also known as clear-hearing, may be the specialty of another. Spirit mediums can work on improving awareness and abilities regarding all extrasensory senses; however, it is important to note that the dominant sense may be toned down a bit in order to heighten awareness of the sense the spirit medium is working on. This may be disconcerting at first because the spirit medium may be used to receiving information a certain way. Once a spirit medium has experienced this type of transition, it is easier to recognize the fluidity of the communication process, as well as its ability to change and grow as the spirit medium is ready to explore the full scale of his or her gifts.

All Information is Important

It is important to note that recipients of a reading may or may not recognize all of the information coming through. This does not mean that the information is incorrect or random in any way. Even if you do not understand the information, it may have great importance to the recipient. Do not dismiss it. Communicators on the Other Side bring through specific information and messages for a reason. If the recipient does not immediately recall the information or if it does not readily make sense, ask him or her to write it down as its meaning will be revealed at a later date. It may be that the recipient has temporarily forgotten certain details, or it could be information for the future, or it could be that the recipient needs to speak to another person on earth to validate the information. Either way, loved ones in spirit will do what they can to help the recipient remember at a later time or will help them to remember the information that came through in the reading when the future event occurs.

Keep Growing

When practicing evidential mediumship, a spirit medium will often develop his or her own preference for the order of questions and requests asked. It is often helpful to revisit potential questions and to think of additional ones in order to delve deeper into communications from the Other Side for the benefit of the recipient, as well to increase the depth of one’s skill set as a spirit medium.
