The Journey of the Soul through Death and Beyond: What Happens to Souls Who Harmed Themselves or Others in Life

July 2, 2021 by healings-admin 2 Comments

prison cell from Eastern State Penitentiary

Have you ever wondered what happens to souls who take their own lives or do grievous harm to others? When it comes to crossing over into Heaven, there are different scenarios for souls depending on their actions on Earth. Most souls cross over right away and enjoy a grand and immediate reunion with loved ones already in Heaven, including beloved pets. The souls who have harmed themselves or others do ascend to Heaven; however, when they cross and what happens once there differs from most souls.

Not Crossing Immediately

When someone has ended their life before their natural time or have been responsible for causing great harm to others, they may not cross over immediately. This is because the soul may not believe they belong in Heaven due to what they were taught on Earth and how they perceive themselves. When this occurs, the soul, no longer housed in the physical body, temporarily remains on the Earth plane instead of transitioning to Heaven right away. This state of not being on Earth and not being in Heaven is sometimes referred to as purgatory, which means “temporary,” not hell as some people believe. Souls who do not immediately cross over into Heaven need assistance in doing so because they need to believe they belong there. A delegation of loved ones in spirit, spirit guides, and Angels from Heaven try to help them, as do spirit mediums on Earth when we encounter souls in this state of being. All souls do cross over into Heaven in time and receive the knowledge and healing they need.

A Different Path for Those Who Ended Their Lives Early

For those who purposefully ended their lives, there is a different process which occurs when the soul’s life on Earth ends. Once the soul crosses over into Heaven, there is no celebration or large happy reunion with all the loved ones who have crossed over before them. Instead, there is a more subdued reunion with select loved ones in spirit before being transported to the Spiritual Hospital for much needed healing. The Spiritual Hospital is similar to a mental hospital here on Earth; however, it is attended to by specific orders of Angels who guide the healing process for souls who experienced great emotional and spiritual pain in life. They also bring healing for the soul-wrenching experience of the ending of life early, which halted the life lessons and plans that were determined before the soul was born on Earth. The best estimate I have received for the time a loved one in spirit is in the Spiritual Hospital ranges from two weeks to six months Earth time. There is no time equivalent in Heaven, which is why this is estimated. It also depends on the soul and the level of healing they need. Visitors are welcome at the hospital and outpatient care is available when the soul is ready. Once healing has taken place, an intimate and loving reunion party with all loved ones in spirit is held to honor the soul. As a consequence of purposefully ending life on Earth prior to the agreed upon timeframe, the soul must return for another lifetime to redo and complete the lessons left unlearned. This does not usually happen immediately, but after healing has taken place, skills have been learned to better manage the lessons, and other loved ones have naturally completed their lifetimes and reunited with the soul in Heaven.

What Happens to Souls Who Grievously Harm Others on Earth

For those who committed grievous crimes against others while on Earth, instead of a delegation of loved ones in spirit, there is the presence of a spiritual being who does not step forward, but rather waits patiently, without judgment, to be noticed. Once acknowledged, the spiritual being seeks to educate the soul in the necessity of crossing over. Often, souls who caused great harm to others do not believe they belong in Heaven. The temporarily lost soul needs to believe they belong to transition there. The amount of time it takes for the soul to believe this varies. The impressions I received from souls who existed in this surreal state included images and experiences of their negative actions playing out repeatedly in their mind because of their lack of belief in their worthiness. When they are finally convinced of the need to cross over to receive healing and to learn from the mistakes they made while on Earth, they transition to a location within the Spiritual Hospital in which they immediately begin the review of their life. Once there, they learn about how and why events occurred and receive assistance to help their souls to accept accountability, including how to cope with the results of their actions. Through immersive learning situations, they experience the pain they gave to others to learn why the actions were detrimental to all souls involved, the consequences for them as souls, as well as how to better conduct themselves in the future.

Lower Levels of Heaven

Once the life review is over for the souls who brought great harm to others in life, there is no gala celebration or happy reunion with loved ones in spirit. These souls are in need of healing and knowledge to help them evolve. They are assigned to what I refer to as the lower levels of Heaven, in which they dedicate their time to learning how to be a better soul and to gain understanding about the love from which we were all created. The lower levels of Heaven are not the fiery pits of Hell, but rather a place of deep soul contemplation and learning for those who need to work on themselves. The concept of a place of retribution and punishment may have been created as a way of getting society to behave in a certain manner through fear tactics. It may also come from impressions by ancient seers and mediums about souls temporarily lost in purgatory who often feel tormented about their actions on Earth and their temporary status stuck in between worlds.

Soul Evolvement

The souls who commit grievous crimes are often young souls who have not experienced many lifetimes. They operate from a place of fear rather than love and need to reincarnate many times to help their souls evolve to a higher place. In contrast, older souls understand the need for compassion, empathy, and love, as well as the concept that we are here to help one another on our journeys. All of us were younger souls at some point, and when we experience life on Earth, our Creator uses this great mixture of soul evolvement to help us help each other with the lessons destined for this lifetime. Each of us was created with loving care and are provided with opportunities to better ourselves and evolve as souls. Just as children on Earth grow and learn, our souls do so on a much grander scale. If a child makes a mistake, even a big one, there are consequences which are dealt with, but also the opportunity to learn from that mistake. It is the same with our souls. Instead of being sent to the fiery pits of Hell, souls are sent instead to the appropriate level of Heaven to learn from those mistakes to become a better soul. For those who caused grievous harm on Earth, if the lessons are not learned or cannot be completed during their stay in the lower levels of Heaven, the lessons are incorporated into their soul contracts for their next lifetimes.

Reaching the Higher Levels of Heaven

As souls master the lessons, they progress through the spiritual evolution which enables them to graduate to the next levels of Heaven. Souls on the higher levels of Heaven can visit those on the lower levels; however, those on the lower levels do not have permission to visit the higher levels until they have reached the stages of their evolution which permits them to move about Heaven with more freedom. When we achieve the highest level, we can remain in existence as an Angel helping other souls or we can choose to be fully reintegrated into the highest energy form, which I refer to as God or the God Force. From there, new souls are created, and the process begins anew. This is not to be mistaken for reincarnation. Reincarnation is the same soul living many lifetimes. The reintegration into the God Force is the completion of the soul’s existence after it has reached the highest pinnacle of soul growth. As a note, there is no set timeframe for the evolution of a soul. Whether young, old, or somewhere in between, each soul progresses at its own pace with its own lessons and purposes for each lifetime.

Everyone and Every Experience Serves a Purpose

Every soul has a purpose on this Earth, whether they are younger souls learning through trial and error how love is our reason for being or older souls who already know love is the primary reason for our existence. Ultimately, we are all here to assist and learn from one another on our spiritual journeys as souls in human form.

If Heaven Exists, Is There a Hell?

November 19, 2019 by healings-admin Leave a Comment

Eastern State Penitentiary, Hospital Ward – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

As a spirit medium, I receive insights and information about the universe, Heaven, the experiences of souls who cross over to the Other Side, and much more. A great deal of this information comes through communications with loved ones in spirit and the angels, as well as through visions, epiphanies, theophanies (experiences with God), and meditations. My natural curiosity about these topics, as well as my desire to assist those on Earth to better understand the reasons for our existence and what exists beyond life on Earth, prompts me to seek answers to our biggest questions. When receiving the answers, they are provided to me in ways we can comprehend as human beings. Our knowledge of what exists beyond life on Earth is somewhat veiled in order to provide the necessary conditions for learning lessons for our souls. What truly exists is much more magnificent and complex than most of us can conceive through our limited experiences as human beings on a spiritual journey.

Gathering Information Using Gifts of Mediumship

One of the questions I am often asked is whether Hell exists. I have seen and experienced many aspects of Heaven; however, I have, to this date, never seen or experienced anything close to the concept of Hell as provided by various religious texts. This holds true even for people who have committed grievous crimes, including murder.

To supplement the information I received through meditation journeys, visions, and communications with the Other Side about the concept of Hell, I visited Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to communicate spirit-to-spirit with deceased men who spent time on Death Row. According to its website, it was operational from April 1829 through January 1970 and housed thousands of criminals over the years, some of them notorious.

Upon asking them to reveal to me what their experience was when crossing over, they gave me the immediate impression of darkness and great confusion. Strong feelings of angst flooded their souls as they did not know what was happening or where they were. The impression I received was that these souls were stuck in purgatory, which is the temporary state of no longer existing on Earth while also not being in Heaven. Purgatory is sometimes mistakenly referred to as Hell. This may be because of the feeling of being lost which accompanies the experience, and for those who committed grievous crimes, there is an added element of torment and anguish as their mind convinces them they went to Hell. This experience can be very negative as images of the crimes they committed repeatedly play in their mind.

Others who do not cross over right away, such as those who take their own lives or who passed suddenly and are experiencing confusion about the need to cross over, have a different set of circumstances. For those who committed suicide, they need help believing they belong in Heaven. For those who crossed over very suddenly, if they do not cross over right away, I have been shown that they can become confused and may turn away from the gateway to Heaven because they feel as though they have unfinished business on Earth. These souls temporarily wander the Earth in spirit looking for assistance. It can be a very surreal experience in which they can see others on Earth, but those on Earth, other than spirit mediums, cannot see them. Ultimately, every soul receives assistance with their crossing from a spiritual being, such as the angels, or from spirit mediums who recognize their needs and call in the angels to help them cross.

What Happens to Souls Who Harm Others on Earth

Usually, when the soul is released from the physical body through death, the soul transitions to Heaven with the help of a small delegation of loved ones in spirit or the angels to help guide them to the Other Side. For those who are temporarily stuck in purgatory due to crimes they committed, there is the presence of a spiritual being who does not step forward, but rather waits patiently, without judgment, to be noticed.

Once acknowledged, the spiritual being seeks to educate the soul in the necessity of crossing over. The temporarily lost soul needs to believe they belong in Heaven in order to transition there. The amount of time it takes for the soul to believe this varies. The impressions I received from souls who existed in this surreal state included images and experiences of their crimes playing out repeatedly in their mind because of their lack of belief in their worthiness. When they are finally convinced of the need to cross over in order to receive healing and to learn from the mistakes they made while on Earth, they transition to a room, much like an interrogation room, in which they begin the review of their life. It is an objective review in which they are immersed in various scenes to discuss what took place, how it affected others and themselves, and what they could have done differently with the lessons they were to learn on Earth.

In contrast, those who were stuck in purgatory because they were confused during their sudden passing are welcomed into Heaven by their loved ones who are already there in spirit. There is a celebration in their honor in which they are reunited with all their loved ones in Heaven, including animals. For those who took their own lives, there is no celebration. These souls are in dire need of healing and are directed to the spiritual hospital to receive the help they need. Loved ones already in Heaven can visit; however, the concentration is on healing from the issues that led them to take their own lives, as well as the act of ending their lives too soon. From what has been shared with me, they spend approximately two weeks to six months Earth time in the spiritual hospital.

Levels of Heaven

Once the life review is over for the souls who brought great harm to others in life, there is no gala celebration. They are in need of healing and knowledge to help them evolve. They are assigned to what I refer to as the lower levels of Heaven, in which they dedicate their time to learning how to be a better soul and to gain understanding about the love from which we were all created.

The souls who commit grievous crimes are often young souls who have not experienced many lifetimes. They operate from a place of fear rather than love and need to reincarnate many times in order to help their souls evolve to a higher place. In contrast, older souls understand the need for compassion, empathy, and love, as well as the concept that we are here to help one another on our journeys. All of us were younger souls at some point, and when we experience life on Earth, God uses this great mixture of soul evolvement to help us help each other with the lessons destined for this lifetime.

As a soul learns lessons throughout its lifetimes, it has opportunities to progress through the levels of Heaven. Souls on the higher levels of Heaven can visit those on the lower levels; however, those on the lower levels do not have permission to visit the higher levels until they have reached the stages of their evolution which permits them to move about with more freedom. As souls progress, they are granted increasing abilities to collaborate with others in Heaven to create collective positive experiences, such as recreations of favorite times and places on Earth. Additionally, souls gain the abilities to transform their personal appearances, and most chose to look like a young version of themselves, and to create their unique space in Heaven, such as a beautiful seaside cottage or elaborate cabin in the mountains, in which loved ones in spirit, including pets, can visit and share.

The Number of Levels in Heaven

When asking about the number of levels in Heaven, the answer I receive is twelve. When we achieve the highest level, we can remain in existence as an angel helping other souls, or we can choose to be fully reintegrated into the highest energy form, which I refer to as God or the God Force. From there, new souls are created, and the process begins anew. This is not to be mistaken for reincarnation. Reincarnation is the same soul living many lifetimes. The reintegration into the God Force is the completion of the soul’s existence after it has reached the highest pinnacle of soul growth.

How Long Does It Take to Fully Evolve as a Soul?

There is no set time frame for the evolution of a soul. Whether young, old, or somewhere in between, each soul progresses at its own pace with its own lessons and purposes for each lifetime. Lessons can be learned while in Heaven; however, when we decide to be reborn on Earth, it is to accelerate the growth of our souls through more challenging experiences. The negativity which exists on Earth does not exist in Heaven. We can stay in Heaven for certain lessons; however, in order to experience the greater challenges, we need to reincarnate for lessons on Earth.

Concept of Hell

As for the concept of the fiery Hell proclaimed in various religious texts, the creation of this type of vision may have been conceptualized as a way of getting society to behave in a certain manner through fear tactics. It may also come from impressions by ancient seers and mediums, many of which are past spiritual masters, about souls temporarily lost in purgatory. As I mentioned, the souls who committed grievous crimes gave me the impressions of the misery they endured while stuck in purgatory. What was not understood or shared in the religious texts was the continuation of the souls’ journeys to Heaven once they believed they belonged.

Every soul is given the opportunity to learn and grow, even those who have done great harm while on Earth. During their life reviews, they experience the consequences of their actions in order to learn how to improve and evolve. If the lessons are not learned or cannot be completed during their stay in the lower levels of Heaven, then they are incorporated into their soul contracts for their next lifetime.

Instead of being sent to the fiery pits of Hell as described in religious texts, we are sent instead to the appropriate level of Heaven to learn from those mistakes in order to become a better soul.

Depression: Why It Is So Pervasive and What Can Be Done to Lessen Its Effects

April 14, 2016 by healings-admin Leave a Comment

Sad WomanGreat sadness, anger, anxiousness, irritability, and angst. That is what someone in the throes of depression experiences on a daily basis. Often, those feelings take over the mind effectively pushing out all thoughts of peace and happiness. Those who suffer with depression wish they did not. They want to feel happy and carefree, and to enjoy life. Unfortunately, when someone has experienced a great deal of tragedies over a long period of time, happiness can seem elusive and hope can seem lost. The human ego, which is the parent of all of our fears, looks for opportunities like this to take over an otherwise happy soul by feeding it with fears, regrets, and worries as a way of challenging the soul’s inherent beliefs about peace and contentment. To do this, the human ego persistently repeats negative thoughts like a music CD skipping on a scratched surface and repeating the same lyrics over and over again. It is up to each individual to learn how to hit the eject button on that skipping CD in order to repair it or replace it with a new soundtrack.

Slogging through the Mud

Depression is tough. I know this because I have experienced it many times in my own life. Sometimes the challenges we face become overwhelming, especially if there have been significant and ongoing struggles with little sense of relief in between tragic circumstances. We become worn down and tired of the constant effort it takes to fight off negative thoughts and feelings that threaten not only our happiness, but also our personal existence at times. It is during these times that the human ego senses our weaknesses and seizes the opportunity to ramp up the negativity. To a person suffering with depression, it can feel as though one is stuck in a mud pit trying desperately to climb out but the slippery slopes cause one slide back in again and again. It can seem like an exercise in futility. Even though the person suffering knows there is a way out because they have risen above the muck before, the human ego with its pervasive power does its best to block those thoughts. Due to the great challenge of trying to see beyond the negativity in order to get to a place of hope and more positive feelings, many people succumb to depression and, at times, tragically take their own lives.

The good news; however, is that depression is a temporary state of mind. There are few guarantees in life; however, one of them is that change is inevitable. It takes strong efforts and great love to free oneself from the grip of depression, but it is possible and, sometimes, it is necessary to receive professional help. If you think you are in need of help, you can contact your primary medical doctor as he or she may be able to provide recommendations for reputable mental health professionals.

Warning Signs and Professional Help

Part of the problem with depression is that those suffering from it often isolate themselves from friends and family members. They either hide their feelings or withdraw from relationships because they feel no one cares for them or loves them. Often, they may purposefully destroy relationships in an attempt to proactively protect themselves from the pain of rejection and loss they believe is inevitable through human relations. In addition, getting extremely upset over the smallest of issues is a red flag that someone is having a really hard time dealing with issues in his or her life. It is a sign of stress overload when someone has little tolerance for anything that upsets the status quo. It is like placing one more rock on a pile which sends them all crashing down in a heap. Excessive sleeping, as well as the abuse of drugs and alcohol, are also red flags that someone is gripped in the throes of depression because they are employing these mechanisms to shut out problems. In their minds, it is a way of providing relief from problems in which they believe there are no satisfactory answers that will help them overcome the issues.

If someone is struggling with deep depression, professional assistance from a counselor, therapist, or in-patient mental health services may be needed to help the person who is suffering. If they are suicidal, it is imperative to take those threats seriously and try to get professional help for him or her by offering to help them find a therapist. Additionally, provide him or her with the national suicide hotline number, 1-800-273-8255, which will provide immediate crisis assistance and put them in touch with mental health experts in the area. While it is good to do what you can to help someone by giving them love and lending them an empathetic ear, deeply rooted problems are best left to those who have extensive training and expertise in dealing with critical or life-threatening issues. You can lend your support and follow up on someone’s progress; however, it is good to recognize when significant problems require professional intervention.

There is Hope for a Brighter Future

There are less serious cases of depression which can be resolved with love, determination, and a strong base of support. Ultimately, we are all responsible for our own happiness and unhappiness. Taking an honest and objective look at the circumstances in your life can reveal why you may be experiencing great sadness and angst, as well as what you can do to rise above it. When you do this, you will not only see the positive benefits of negative circumstances, but also the paths you can take to mitigate or deter similar problems in the future. For instance, you may find yourself in a relationship in which you have been giving much more than you have ever received. This imbalance may be causing a serious imbalance within your emotional and spiritual wellbeing. If, after discussing the issue with the person involved, there are little to no positive changes over a sustained period, it may be time to end the relationship because it is causing more harm than good. It may be challenging to end such a relationship because you may have invested a lot of time and energy into this person; however, your energies would be better served by taking care of yourself instead of constantly feeding into the other person’s wants and needs. Remember, you are important, too. You can ask Archangel Michael to help you to cut the cords of past and current relationships in order to help you move forward into healthier relationships with a balance of give and take.

Actions You Can Take for Yourself

When you find yourself struggling with depression or strong negativity, there are many actions you can take to help yourself heal, to correct situations out of alignment with your best interests, and to move forward into more positive experiences for your soul. Here are a few I utilize when I find myself being overwhelmed by negative thoughts and feelings:

  • Call on Archangel Azrael to help transition negative thoughts to positive ones
  • Call on Archangel Michael to give you the strength and the courage to move forward with confidence in your path
  • Provide self-care for yourself, as it is important to take care of you, especially when feelings of anxiety and angst are taking over
  • Take stock of all that you do have and express gratitude for the comforts, relationships, and love you enjoy on a daily basis
  • Halt the negative thoughts and emotions by examining the present. In this exact moment, know that you are safe and loved by those on earth and in heaven. It is often fears and worries that get the best of us, because we are envisioning the worst – let it go and refocus to the present moment. Take each day one moment at a time until the negative feelings pass. You will see how you have come through it with better options than you thought possible.
  • Talk with friends about what is going on. Most of us have experienced times of darkness when negative thinking seems to block out all of the good in our lives. It is healthy to talk it out with trusted friends and family members. They may offer helpful advice or a different perspective that allows you to see the problems within the problem. Think about what they said and examine it in the context of your own life. Then, decide for yourself which ideas have merit for you. Listen to your truths in an objective way.
  • Step out of your environment and see or do something new. Sometimes we get stuck in a rut. A change in our routines may help clear our minds and open up new vistas and opportunities.
  • Take a nap. Not every day or excessively, but when the anger and frustration has reached unprecedented levels and you are having a hard time releasing it. It sometimes helps to take a nap once in a while to give yourself time to reset. As you go to sleep, ask the archangels to help uplift your mood and heal your heart while you are resting.
  • Play soothing music as a form of meditation and allow yourself to concentrate only on the sounds and your breathing. Once calm, you can take yourself on a meditation journey to meet with your loved ones in heaven and the angels in order to bring healing and love to your life.
  • Get moving by taking a walk, by participating in yoga or exercising in ways that bring you joy and helps you release excess emotions. Exercise is a natural way to release endorphins, which are happy hormones in our brains.
  • End relationships that are hurting you. Be honest with yourself about whether someone is truly hurting you or supporting you. Think about whether someone is adding to your life or consistently taking away without any concern for your welfare.
  • Clear out old tasks and tidy up your environment. If tasks seem overwhelming, focus on a little at a time. Set mini-goals such as tidying up one room or task at a time. Once that is done, you can move on to the next. Give yourself credit for each task completed, no matter how big or small.
  • Recite these Reiki energy healing principles when you wake up in the morning in order to start your day off with positive intentions:
    • Just for today, I let go of anger.
    • Just for today, I will not worry.
    • Just for today, I am filled with gratitude.
    • Just for today, I am committed to my work.
    • Just for today, I will be kind to myself and others.
  • Upon waking, tell yourself it is going to be a great day – and mean it.
  • Be as kind to yourself as you would be with others. When you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts about yourself, stop and replace them with two positive thoughts about yourself. Negative self-thoughts are hurtful. When you replace them with two positive thoughts, you are working on changing your thinking through kindness and love. Be kind to you. Life is hard, but you know you have triumphed over tough circumstances in the past and will do so again – with style and grace.

Regaining Hope

Depression is a serious problem for many people. This world can be very challenging, and anything we can do to help ourselves and others is a plus. As much as they would like to, most people struggling with depression cannot just “snap out of it.” It takes time to heal the heart and spirit of those who have been hurt or damaged by negative circumstances. By taking small steps each day, depression can be overcome, even in cases in which it seems hopeless. Those who are suffering from extreme cases of depression would most likely benefit from professional assistance. Help them, if you can, to find the assistance they need to live healthy, happy lives.

Positively Taking Your Life Back

There may be times when depression threatens to upheave your life; however, you do not need to let it take over. Take small steps each day to show appreciation to yourself and know that you are loved by those on earth and in heaven. Remember, change is inevitable, which means the challenging circumstances you may be facing are only temporary. When you get through to the other side of the issues, you may be able to see the positive reasons for the occurrences. Even if you are having a hard time seeing why events have occurred, keep looking and you will find even negative circumstances have positive reasons for occurring. Often, our frustrations arise from circumstances not going the way we wish they would. By learning how to recognize unhealthy patterns and how to see the positive reasons for negative circumstances, we give ourselves the opportunity to move beyond deep disappointment into a higher understanding of situations and better conditions for our lives.

Her passion for her calling is shared through the spirit readings, demonstrations, and workshops she provides, as well as through her writing, Reiki, and fine art spiritual paintings. All of her work is inspired by the divine light that is within us all. She has a great love of nature, people, and the planet, and she enjoys her connection in spirit, both here and in heaven.
