Messages from the Other Side: The Soul Importance of Expressing and Showing Love

Heaven is a place filled with love and knowledge. When our loved ones cross over into heaven, they experience an awakening as they review their lives and realize the impact of their actions while on earth. I cannot even begin to count the number of times people have come through in spirit asking for forgiveness for the lack of love that they showed or expressed when they were here. This type of message is not only to ease the hearts of those receiving it, but also to teach us about the vital importance of expressing and showing our love to one another while we are living on earth.

Generators of Positive Energy

Everything we are and everything we do is based in love. We are created from the supreme power of love by our Creator, and we are meant to continue to generate the purity of that love through the actions we take on a daily basis. As souls on a human journey, we face many challenges here on earth. It is the relationships and love we cultivate that helps us through the dark times and brings us great joy when we celebrate the light. We are truly here to help one another. All of the mundane problems of everyday life are but catalysts to encourage us to work through our problems together; to search out and find the love that is already there in the hearts of all of our spirits.

You Can Take It with You

When we cross over into heaven, we take with us our spirit and the love that connects us with the special people and animals in our lives. The expiration of our physical bodies on earth is not an ending, but a new beginning on a different plane. Within our spirits, we carry the love, knowledge, and relationships we cultivated throughout our lifetimes. Because love is our reason for being and one of the few things we take with us when we go, it makes sense that sharing and expressing our love is vital to our souls. It also explains why our guys and gals in heaven repeatedly send messages about the importance of expressing and showing our love to one another.

Overcoming Fears of Intimacy

Do you hesitate to tell someone you love them? If so, why is it so difficult to say it? Is it because you were raised in an environment in which love was not expressed? Is it because you were hurt in a relationship or relationships in which you loved and it was not returned? The fears that prevent you from sharing your heart were put in place as a challenge for you. The challenge in this type of life lesson is to overcome your fears in order to realize that love is everywhere, and the more you share, the more you receive in return. At first, it may feel awkward or uncomfortable to let your guard down and be vulnerable with someone; however, with the right person, the risk is worth the rewards. Even if someone does not feel the same way you do, at least you expressed the feelings in your heart. You can feel good about that, knowing you have done your best by communicating and sharing the love within your heart for another, whether it is a friend, family member, or significant other.

Giving Gifts from the Soul

For those on the receiving end of a loving message or gesture, it is a blessing and a gift from the soul. Even if you think someone already knows that you love them, show them and tell them anyway. Each person is a unique being, and we cannot profess to know all that is going on within another person’s mind; however, by clearly communicating your feelings, you effectively remove any question someone may have about how you feel about them. Think about how many times you may have agonized about how someone feels about you. Wouldn’t it have been great if you had received clarity directly from that person? This is the gift you can give others when you clearly communicate your feelings in a way that can be heard and accepted by others.

Clear Communication Coupled with Positive Actions

More often than not, it is communication problems that lead to the demise of a relationship. Instead of withholding your feelings out of fear, express them in healthy ways. Tell the people you care about that you love them, and show them your love through your actions. For instance, do something for them that brings a smile to their face, such as making a handmade gift, completing a task or responsibility that will give them free time to relax, or scheduling time for a special experience that will create happy memories. Each one of us wants to be loved, accepted, and appreciated for who we are, and if you are not giving or receiving that in your relationships, it is time for a heart-to-heart conversation about each person’s needs, as well as potential solutions for improving the relationship. If, after the talk, the individuals involved do not follow through or make an effort to improve the situation within a reasonable amount of time, it may be that he or she is not truly vested in the relationship. At that point, you may need to make a decision about whether or not the relationship is worth pursuing.

Remember to Love Who You Are

As you are sharing your love with others, be sure to be kind and loving toward yourself. Schedule time to participate in activities you enjoy, including hobbies, exercise, reading, sports, meditation, and more. Be as kind to yourself as you would be to another. Love is what we are here for, love is what we are, and love is the only thing we take with us when it is time for us to return to heaven.

When Pets Cross Over into Heaven

Animals, especially our pets, have a special place in many of our hearts. The unconditional love they share with us is a model for how we can love one another. Anyone who has fallen in love with their pet knows they give so much love and gratitude for our companionship and care. When it comes time for them to cross over into heaven, it is a loss that is felt deeply by all in the household, including other pets.

Surrounded by Loving Beings

When the time comes for our beloved animal companions to cross over to the Other Side, it can be a very emotional and heartbreaking time. It is comforting to know that our pets, just like human beings, are surrounded by spirit guides, loved ones in spirit, and the angels during their transition to heaven. Recently, when my cat, Shadow, passed, I asked the angels to show me his journey in order to share with you what happens when our pets cross over into heaven.

Spirit Guides Ease Their Transition

When Shadow passed, his spirit guides were there to show him the way to heaven. As with people, the guides are unique to the animal. Each being is born with a spirit guide who remains with them for their time on earth, and animals are no different. When pets cross over, their personal spirit guide is there, as well as deceased loved ones who knew them (people and animals), angels, past spiritual masters, and even God. The guides are there to inform them that their physical body has expired, indicating it is time to cross over into heaven. The pull of love is strong on earth, especially if there were deep bonds formed with their companion family. The guides gently let them know it is time to move on to heaven, and that they will never truly be separated from their earthly companions because the love they share will keep them connected. They let them know that, once they have crossed, they can visit in spirit with their loved ones on earth to give them comfort and signs that they are around. Like people, pets can be scared of being separated from loved ones and the life they knew; however, the angels bring peace to their hearts and minds, easing their transition.

Time for Orientation

In the same way that people have an orientation to heaven, animals are also given an introduction and an educational session about heaven. They learn about their new home, as well as what they can do while they are there, including how they can communicate and help their loved ones on earth. They are reunited with loved ones who have crossed over before them, including animal parents and siblings, as well as people who knew them and loved them. The angels, guides, and deceased loved ones often volunteer to watch over them as they await the arrival of their companion family on earth.

Grief Transformed Through Understanding

As with those of us on earth, our beloved pets do experience some sorrow during their transition to heaven. It is natural to feel a sense of loss for the life and companions they knew on earth; however, the grief does not last like it does on earth because the abundant peace and love of heaven embraces them. In addition, they are given the gift of knowledge and enlightenment that allows them to better understand the workings of the universe and their role in it. Any pain they felt in life disappears, and they are transformed into younger and healthier versions of themselves. They are free to run and play, make new friends, roll in the softest spring green grass, and curl up in the warmth of the sun with loved ones.

Visiting Loved Ones on Earth

After their initial period of transition has been completed and grief over your loss has eased, your pets will visit you on earth. You may catch a glimpse of them out of the corner of your eye or see images that remind you of them, you may feel them curled up next to you on the couch or bed, and you may also hear the joyful sounds they used to make just for you. When animals communicate with me both here and from the Other Side, it is very similar to the way human loved ones in spirit communicate with me. They use all of my senses to transmit their messages, and the thought impressions I receive are translated into a spoken language I understand. When they communicate with you, you may receive signs and messages through images, sounds, feelings, smells, and more. It is not a coincidence that the day after Shadow passed a video popped up on one of my social media newsfeeds of a very young kitten holding its own bottle as it was being fed kitten replacement milk. When I adopted Shadow into my heart almost fifteen years ago, he was only two weeks old. Because he was abandoned by his natural mother at such a young age, he needed to be bottle-fed kitten replacement milk. I thought it was adorable how Shadow would hold his kitten-sized bottle with his paws. On an interesting side note, all kittens and puppies are born with brilliant blue eyes, just like human babies. If an extremely young animal comes under your care, you should take it to the veterinarian as soon as possible. They have very special needs, ones that you would not even think about, that need to be immediately addressed.

Love Connection

Our beloved pets and companions leave impressions of their love on our hearts. The relationships we build and nurture on earth with all beings creates a bond that cannot be broken with the expiration of our physical bodies. Love is the strongest energy in the universe. It is the ultimate power that links each and every one of us together. It is the spark of life that created our souls, and when we find others whose spark grows and expands within each other’s company, we know we have found our soulmates, our twin flames, and our spiritual family.

How to Experience Heaven on Earth

Do you remember what life was like when you were a child? Do you remember the simplicity of your days and having the belief that anything was possible? As we grow, our responsibilities increase, we experience hardships, and we learn lessons about love and loss that may harden our hearts and block us from the magical possibilities that are a part of our existence each and every day.

Fear is the Ultimate Block

The human ego, which is the seat of our fears and insecurities, tries to protect us from further emotional pain by reminding us of our past hurts. It can be a very persistent and persuasive voice that tells us not to try again or that taking risks is hopeless because it will only bring pain, rejection, and disappointment. As well-meaning as the human ego can be, it can also be very detrimental if we grant it too much power over our lives.

Taking Risks Brings Rewards

The gift of the human ego was given to us as a challenge we are meant to learn to effectively manage. We cannot rid ourselves of it while residing on this earth, because it is as much a part of our physical existence as our human bodies. The best we can do is to learn how to recognize its influence in our daily decisions, thank it for its presence, and learn how to move beyond the limitations it tries to instill upon us. By taking risks and believing in the positive rewards that come from living our dreams, making new friends, and opening ourselves up to love relationships, we do expose ourselves to potential emotional pain. At the same time, though, we grant ourselves the opportunity to experience the greatest satisfaction and love that we can achieve in this lifetime.

Forge Ahead with Loving Power

By forging ahead with the loving power within our souls, we are fulfilling our destinies for this lifetime. To do this, you must know and love yourself first, believe in who you are, and move forward without fear. Silence the inner critic of the human ego that tells you that you are not good enough or that other people’s opinions and emotions are more powerful and important than your own. Are other people living your life? No. Do they know what it is like to be you? No. Remember, other people’s fears come to the surface, and they may try to press them upon you because they are afraid you might get hurt or they may inwardly feel jealous that you are willing to take risks. Again, these fearful emotions are coming from that persistent voice of the human ego. Our job is to learn how to recognize when we are receiving sound advice or information based on fact, and when we are receiving advice or information that is based solely on fear.

Choosing to Refocus

Once your human ego awareness filter has been activated, you can begin to experience the magic of heaven on earth. What other people think of you is not going to matter so much anymore. You can recognize when the human ego is trying to prevent you from living the life you are meant to live, and you can move right past the fears it throws in your path. This does not mean that you will never experience fear, it means that you have discovered the key to managing it. Emotional pain is a part of life, but it does not need to rule you. It does not last forever unless you choose to allow it to do so. The key part of that statement is the ability to choose. You are in control of your choices. How you choose to live is entirely up to you. When you are feeling stuck or fearful, that is the time to let go and let God. Enjoy simple pleasures in life, much like you did when you were a child. Sit or walk outside and enjoy the fresh air. Nature is one of the best rejuvenators. Immersing yourself in its beauty and appreciating the gifts of this earth will help remind you that life on earth can be beautiful when we take the time to recognize it. Release your concerns, regrets, and worries, and just be for a while. We all need time to refresh in order to shift our focus to what truly matters…the simplicity of being, of loving, and of knowing that we are loved in return by God and the universe.

Heavenly Help

I experience the magic every single day of my life. I constantly receive messages from heaven that provide me with guidance, comfort, and love. I am not the only one who can experience this. As a spirit medium, I am clearly tapped in to the energies of heaven; however, we all possess this gift to some degree. We are all connected to one another, both here and in heaven, through the heart of our spirits. Our heavenly support teams of loved ones in spirit, God, and the angels, fully support us every day with their love and guidance. They know how challenging life can be on earth, and they want to help us succeed on our journeys. By opening yourself up with faith, love, and confidence to the guidance and messages that come from your heavenly support team, you can experience the magic as well. Communications via our spirits is performed through all of our senses, and the more you learn about how it works, the better you will be at recognizing heaven’s presence on earth.
