Prayers from This Side of Heaven Are More Than a Request

Reasons Why We Pray

When we pray, we are asking a higher power to step in and help with a situation that seems beyond our control or outside the scope of our personal reach. People often ask for help from God, past spiritual masters (deeply spiritual people who lived life on earth but have crossed over and help from the Other Side, such as Saints, Buddha, etc.), the Archangels, and more. Requests for assistance are often made when we, or those we love, are facing dire circumstances or have a heartfelt desire we would like to have fulfilled. We pray for certain outcomes, such as for improved health, safety during travel or in storms, financial stability, or love. Even though we pray, there are times when it seems prayers go unanswered. Some may ask, what is the point of praying if the outcome is not the one we requested? Is there anyone even listening?

Prayers are a complex subject that have a much deeper meaning than what appears on the surface. Each one of us is on a spiritual journey on earth. As human beings, we have agreed to live a lifetime on earth to learn important lessons for our souls, as well as to help others with their soul plans. These lessons are bound in a soul contract which outlines the lessons, but does not specify the details about how the lessons will occur on this plane. Once we are born, events are orchestrated to help us to learn the lessons we agreed to in this lifetime. Free will is a very critical element of our journeys, because it gives each person the ability to control his or her reactions to events. If a lesson is not learned the first time, it will recur in different forms until it is completed. Because of the ever-changing circumstances of action and reaction due to free will, the events which trigger our life lessons are facilitated on a daily basis. It would amaze you to see and comprehend the incredible amount of planning that goes into events on earth.

It is important to note that, once we are born on earth, knowledge of our soul contracts is partially or fully obscured from our memory in order to provide optimal conditions for learning. One of the main lessons of our journey is to rediscover the knowledge hidden within our souls about our divine origins, our connection with all beings, and the reasons why we exist. In order to learn and grow, challenging situations are orchestrated on earth by higher beings to reawaken us to the knowledge buried within our souls. The obstacles and circumstances we face are designed to make us dig deep into our souls to find answers and to establish, reconnect, or increase our faith, as well as to discover the solace, hope, and grace that accompanies the epiphanies about the positive reasons behind all experiences.

Reawakening to Our Connection with Higher Beings

Within our souls is a line of communication which connects us to all beings. Extensive knowledge of this system may be obscured; however, bits and pieces remain as a lifeline to help us in times of need. It is through this system that our prayers are sent and received. It is also the system that is used for spirit to spirit communication (also known as mediumship), psychic messages, and intuitive messages. We have not been abandoned to withstand life on earth alone. We have assistance we can tap into, and life offers many opportunities to reawaken us to the means of that assistance.

Prayers, which are sent through the line of communication via thought, are one way in which we are reminded of our connection with a higher power. In times of great need, we often revert to asking God or the Creator for help. Prayers deepen our connection and reinforce the belief in our divine connection to a force larger and more powerful than ourselves. They also bring out the best in our nature when we pray for positive outcomes for those we love. Prayers are a product of empathy and love, which strengthens bonds between people on earth, as well as with the heavenly beings tasked with assisting us.

When our prayers are answered, the circumstances encountered can serve as a reinforcement of our beliefs in a higher power. Over time, our belief systems will be tested by many challenging situations. It is up to us whether we continue to believe in the existence of a higher power and continue our deep dive into soul evolution and growth or to give in to the limited voice of the human ego which fuels fears and worries in its efforts to place obstacles between us and the higher beings, such as God or the angels, who have our best interests at heart.

On earth, we encounter situations which tear down the walls of the human ego that often get in the way of spiritual connections in order to expose the core of our spiritual selves and get us back to our true spiritual nature. Answered prayers are a beacon of hope in an otherwise challenging world. Our souls need the reminders, which come to us disguised as tough times, of the true meaning of life which is love for the self and others.

Prayers also serve as reminders of our connection with our Heavenly Support Teams, which include God, the Archangels, past spiritual masters, and loved ones in spirit. It is comforting to know we have help during a time of need and, at the very least, we have someone listening to our most fervent and heartfelt desires. When our prayers are answered in ways we recognize, it reinforces the support and connection we have with one another.

Answered, But in Ways We May Not Expect

All prayers are heard; however, they may be answered in ways we do not expect. With our limited knowledge, we may not always comprehend the bigger picture of our lives and the lives of others. The human ego, with its demanding voice inside our psyches, wants what it wants the way it wants it. In its role as an instigator of challenges, including the obscuring of divine knowledge, the human ego demands fulfillment of prayers in specific ways. However, this may not always be in our best interests. This is because the lessons laid out in our soul contracts, as well as the decisions we have made, play a role in whether prayers are answered in the manner requested. For instance, the outcome you may be asking for may not be in your best interests; therefore, it may seem as though your prayer goes unanswered because the request was not readily granted in the exact way you requested.

Our Heavenly Support Teams know the contents of our soul contracts and the lessons we are to learn. If a prayer is not answered in the way you wanted it to be answered, it does not mean it was not heard, it means it may be answered in a way that better aligns with your life plan. Keep in mind, as human beings, the scope of our understanding regarding the divine reasons for events on earth has been partially or fully obscured. We do not have all of the answers when we want them or even how we want them because it would take away from our learning experience. Faith and trust, as well as always searching for the positive reasons for negative circumstances, go a long way toward bringing understanding and internal peace, as well as lessening time wasted on worries and regrets. Outcomes opposite to what we prayed for are not punishments or denials, but rather a redirecting of our energies into optimal circumstances for soul evolution.

The Power of Prayers

It is important to emphasize that every prayer is heard and answered in the best possible way for you and those for which you made the requests. It is not a waste of time, but rather a significant part of our lives which helps connect us with the divine beings who are helping us with our journeys on earth, as well as with our fellow human beings and the animals who journey with us.

The thoughts we put out into the universe are very powerful. They help shape our destinies and provide information to our Heavenly Support Teams about our progress. Prayers are much more than requests for assistance. They are a reminder of our vital connection with the divine beings tasked with helping us experience life in the best way possible according to our soul contracts, as well as a reminder of the knowledge that there is more to our existence beyond life on earth.

The Mysteries of Animal Communication Revealed

Image of CatAnyone who knows me, knows I adore animals. The animals of this earth are amazing creatures that do much more than teach us lessons about life and death and unconditional love. Their presence in our lives often provide symbolic meanings that help us navigate events that occur. The persistent or repetitive presence of an animal in your life may signal an important message to you. For instance, whenever I see a mourning dove, it is a sign for me to be at peace with the circumstances I am encountering. I also take it as a message that my guys and gals in heaven are sending me peace and love to help me remain calm when faced with adverse circumstances. It is a reassurance that all will be well and that I should let go of worries.

Animals Can and Do Communicate

Even more interesting, is that animals have the ability to communicate via their spirits. As a spirit medium, I communicate with loved ones in spirit and the angels every day. It is accomplished through a method of spirit to spirit communication that utilizes all of my senses to transmit information, images, feelings, thoughts, scents, and more. I have discovered that I can not only communicate with beings on the Other Side, but also animals. Both living and deceased animals communicate in the same way that people in spirit do.

Invisible Network Connecting All Beings

At the heart of each being resides a beautiful spirit. Our spirits, also known as our souls, have all been created from the same source with the same raw materials. When our souls were being programmed, we were granted the ability to communicate via our spirits with all beings in creation. This is one of the ways our prayers are transmitted. The invisible connection between us all is a communication network that allows the transmission of information from one soul to another using a telepathic connection. Beings in heaven utilize this system of communication to get messages through to people on earth. Animals, both live and deceased, also use this system of communication. It is a universal language that is understood by the soul, and those open to it and who learn its intricacies, can successfully communicate via their spirits with other beings. For living human beings, telepathic connections do exist; however, while on earth, we have verbal and non-verbal means with which to communicate. Because life on earth is a spiritual journey of learning with souls on different levels of evolvement, communicating through words and body language are the common means for expressing oneself. As a note, telepathy does not mean reading someone’s mind. It is a soul connection in which information is freely shared by the soul, in much the same way as when we hold conversations with one another. The information is coming through via transmissions of energy which utilize all of the senses, rather than the earthly forms of communication which use words and body language. Beings without a physical human body utilize spirit to spirit communication, which is a phenomenal universal language which creates bridges between all beings in all dimensions.

Animals Have Depth of Spirit

It may surprise you to know that animals experience the world in much the same way people do. They have deep thoughts and emotions, likes and dislikes, and concerns and worries. To tap into the communications, one needs to learn about the way information is transmitted between souls. Students of my mediumship workshops are taught that once they have learned how to communicate with loved ones in spirit, they can utilize that knowledge to communicate with animals. As with loved ones in spirit who spoke a language other than English in life, thoughts and words from animals are automatically translated into a language I am most familiar with, in this case, English. The thoughts and words are often accompanied by images, feelings, sounds, smells and tastes, providing a richness of detail and depth that goes beyond what simple words could ever accomplish.

Why God Does Not Prevent Certain Tragedies

Archangel MichaelTragedies, both big and small, affect all of us at one time or another in this lifetime. Many wonder why God, whose omnipotent powers can easily prevent these events from occurring in the first place, would allow such negative events to happen. To many people, it is incomprehensible why God would allow children to die, for people to be murdered, for loved ones to greatly suffer with debilitating diseases, and more. It is not because God revels in our pain. It has to do with contracts of the soul made before we were born.

Advanced Course for Soul Evolution

I have often stated that life on earth is the “advanced course for soul evolution.” Before we were born, we made agreements, referred to as soul contracts, to learn specific lessons for our souls in this lifetime. In heaven, we do not experience negativity like we do here. In order to learn lessons, it sometimes requires hard and fast challenges that push us beyond our comfort zones. Heaven does not provide all of the challenging circumstances required to take us to the next level of soul evolution. Because of that, we agree to experience a lifetime on earth in order to accelerate the pace of our personal growth. When creating our itinerary for our earthly journeys, we agree to certain lessons meant to build our faith, to learn how to love unconditionally, to overcome tragedy, to learn how to forgive ourselves and others, to help us rediscover the divine knowledge within our souls about the true reasons for our existence, or for countless other reasons that reach into the depths of our souls. The way the lessons occur are not necessarily spelled out in the agreements. This is because we have free will. Once we are born on earth, events are facilitated to create the optimal conditions for lessons. It requires a tremendous amount of real-time organization based on decisions we make which affect not only us, but also many others. There is a ripple effect with every decision that alters the paths we are on. I equate it to a “Choose Your Own Adventure” book in which the decisions you make determine where your path will lead you. Along the way, the lessons we learn often include challenging situations which create the optimum circumstances for us to learn. If God were to step in and try to avert these situations, we would not fulfill the lessons for our souls. Therefore, God is not punishing us, but allowing us to fulfill the destinies we agreed to in this lifetime.

Unique Paths Designed to Help One Another

On this earth, there are souls of various levels of soul evolvement. One soul is not better than the other due to the longevity of its existence or the wisdom accumulated in the totality of its existence. All of us, at one time, were younger souls. All of us our doing our best to fulfill our personal destinies, and all of our actions in some way assist one another with the lessons we have agreed to for this lifetime. For instance, older souls may have more difficult lessons in a short period of time in order to greatly increase the speed at which they comprehend and utilize divine knowledge. The tragedies they experience enable them to assist others along their paths from a place of understanding and love. They can do this because their experiences trigger the memories built into the soul regarding the reasons for our existence. Younger souls, who are more likely to operate from a place of fear rather than love, often assist others by acting as the catalysts for negative circumstances. One is not better than the other because both serve vital roles in the fulfillment of our destinies. No one is perfect, and yet everyone is perfect, as each and every one of us is in the process of learning and assisting one another in our divinely planned journeys.

Miracles

It is important to note that when miracles do happen, it is also tied into the lessons for our soul. If life was entirely negative here, we would be overwhelmed by feelings of hopelessness, and would possibly lose our incentive to continue our earthly journeys. Many lessons can be learned and reinforced through positive experiences. Miracles and extraordinary positive experiences are one of the many factors that encourage us to keep moving forward.

Positive Reasons for Negative Circumstances

The second important factor comes with the knowledge that every experience, no matter how negative, has a positive reason for occurring, even if we do not comprehend it at the time. On a day-to-day basis, I encourage people to continually look for the positive reasons for negative circumstances. Being able to see and comprehend the bigger picture helps to establish a level of calm, because instead of getting lost in the negativity and a feeling of being abandoned by God, you can better understand the underlying reasons on a soul level. It helps to lift your soul beyond confusion and pain in order to allow divine knowledge of the soul’s purpose to permeate your consciousness. The more you put this into practice, the faster you recognize the bigger picture connected to the lessons of your soul.

Support From Above

The third important factor that contributes to our overall well-being and success is the fact that we are not alone. We have an entire Heavenly Support Team made up of God, the angels, past spiritual masters, and loved ones in spirit who assist us on our journeys. Our guys and gals in heaven know how difficult life on earth can be. Because of that, they do whatever is in their power to help us with the fulfillment of our soul contracts. Again, there are times when they cannot interfere because there are decisions we must make on our own; however, they do send signs and messages that provide comfort, guidance, and love in their efforts to support us. Learning how they communicate across dimensions is immensely helpful, as it will give you conscious access to divine knowledge, as well as divine love which is at the heart of every being.

Providing a Glimpse into the Universe

This article offers a high level, yet simplistic explanation and overview for extremely complex topics about the inner workings of the universe and the purposes of our lives. The great magnitude of amazingly detailed interactions which create incredible cause and effect actions and reactions in real-time is challenging to describe in depth in such a brief article. It is my hope, however, that it has provided some understanding as to why we are here and why God does not swoop in and prevent tragedies, as well as providing a window of understanding into how events are coordinated on earth.

Why Recognizing Signs from Spirit Is Important to Your Life Path

We have voluntarily opted to live a lifetime on earth to learn lessons for the development of our souls, and the negativity we encounter speeds up the process. In heaven, negativity does not exist. Soul development does occur there; however, the lessons are based more on the giving of service, learning about the many levels of existence, and exploring the multi-faceted methods for communicating across planes.

In our journey through life, we are not left to our own devices. Each of us is given extra assistance from our heavenly support teams of God, the angels, loved ones in spirit, and spirit guides. They send us signs and messages on a daily basis that can help guide us on our life paths. The key to unlocking the knowledge that is at our disposal is to learn how to recognize and decipher the communications that are being sent from your support team in heaven. The benefits to receiving this insider advice is almost immeasurable, as it can have far-reaching effects on the positive development of your soul.

Ascension Removes the Veil
When our loved ones ascend to heaven, knowledge that was obscured from them while on earth is revealed, giving them a better understanding of the reasons behind their experiences on earth. They do not become all-knowing, but they do attain greater insight that enables them to see the events on earth from a more informed perspective. This insight can be utilized to help you navigate your life path if you open yourself to the guidance that is shared with you on a daily basis by your heavenly support team.

In addition to your loved ones in heaven, you have seasoned spirit guides and angels that have specific knowledge about your chosen life path. They have access to your Akashic Records, which contain information about your past incarnations, as well as the plans for your current incarnation on earth. The plans contain the life lessons you have chosen to learn, as well as an outline of certain events that could potentially occur in your lifetime. These events could be major turning points in your soul’s evolution that come as a result of the choices you make about you, your relationships, your thought processes, and your purpose.

In essence, you are never alone. There is always a benevolent spirit nearby who is willing to assist you with your life path. Having an open mind, and a heightened level of awareness about the existence and presence of these spiritual beings, are the first steps you can take toward recognizing and receiving messages from your heavenly support team.

Your Personal Tour Guides of Life
Every day, I receive messages from spirit that are like sign posts directing me toward the best path in my daily life, which also impacts my overall life plan. It is similar to having extremely knowledgeable tour guides that help me to navigate the vast experiences of life on earth. Because these tour guides are in the energetic form of spirit and have advanced communication abilities, they utilize all of our senses to get their messages across to us. The greatest challenge they have in communicating with human beings is the built-in system that purposefully creates obstacles through the illusion of fear. This system is referred to as the human ego.

Breaking through the Wall
The mental block that is put in place when we are born, otherwise known as the human ego, is a wall that can be breeched through conscious awareness of the existence of life beyond the human experience. By opening your mind to the extraordinary possibilities of the universe, and trusting that loving spirits do exist on other planes, you can consciously open the communication channel that moves past the ego and delivers specific and helpful guidance for your life path.

Everyone Is Born with the Gift of Mediumship
Everyone is born with the ability to communicate via spirit. It is the way we communicate with God, the angels, our loved ones in spirit, spirit guides, and each other. Our prayers, thoughts, and requests for assistance are sent to God, the angels, and our loved ones using telepathic transmissions from one spirit to another, similar to the way in which wireless signals are sent from one computer to another. When we communicate with each other on earth, these signals are being sent back and forth via our spirits; however, it is something that occurs in the background of conscious awareness. When you are speaking with someone, you know in your heart when a person’s words do not sound or feel right. There may be a nagging thought in the back of your mind or a slight clenching of your stomach muscles that may be indicating to you that this person is not speaking his or her truth. This intuitive information is coming from your spirit which houses a higher consciousness and understanding of spirit-to-spirit communication.

Even though everyone is born with the gift of mediumship, it does not mean that everyone on earth is destined to be a medium who shares his or her gifts on a professional level. Just as certain people are born with the ability to excel in sports, others are born with the ability to excel in spirit communication. Your path is unique to you, and if mediumship is your calling, you will know it. If it is not, you can still learn how to use the skills you have to communicate with your heavenly support team in a way that will benefit you and your loved ones.

A Map to Lead the Way
The benefits of tuning in to the positive messages that come from enlightened beings in heaven can be equated to being given a map to help you find the most beneficial path to get to your destination, which is the evolvement of the soul through life lessons. Please know that spiritual beings will not give you the answers to a test or solve all of your problems for you. They will only give you sign posts or messages to guide you along the way. It is your job as a soul seeking knowledge and learning lessons to make decisions through your free will. If you were given all of the answers, lessons would not be learned and there would be no point in taking the journey.

Examples of Signs
There are many ways that our heavenly support team sends us messages. It is an abstract form of communication that uses all of our senses, and goes beyond straightforward verbal and non-verbal cues. Your mind must be open to experiencing and recognizing the extraordinary in the ordinary that surrounds you each day.

Here are a few of the more common methods used to transmit messages:

  • Music – Songs that you hear in your head, or that play on the radio at seemingly coincidental times, are often messages from spirit. Pay attention to the lyrics that you are hearing. If you do not know all of the words to the song or the title, look it up. There is a message in it for you about a current event in your life. You could also be hearing music that reminds you of a loved one who has passed away. For instance, my dad loved the band, Journey. I often hear “Don’t Stop Believing” in my head or on the radio at times when I need a positive boost. As a note, negative songs and lyrics are not sent from your heavenly support team. They only send positive messages to you.
  • Visual Clues – When you see an object or image that reminds you of a loved one, it is them letting you know that they are around and that they are sending you their love. For instance, one morning I turned on my television and there was a show on about model trains that popped up on the screen. I have no idea what channel I had left the television on the night before, but this was odd because it appeared to be a very old show. I immediately knew this was my dad letting me know that he was around and that he was sending me his love. You see, his major hobby was collecting model trains. There are no coincidences in this world, and many people may have written that off as strange, but if you open your mind you can learn how to recognize these subtle, and not-so-subtle, messages from spirit.
  • Feeling a Presence – Some people on earth have a very strong sense of extrasensory feeling, or clairsentience. They can physically feel the presence of a loved one in spirit. I often feel the presence of my cats who are in heaven when I lay down to go to sleep. I feel the warmth of their love in the shape of their bodies that they had on earth. It feels like a living cat has curled up next to me, and it may be accompanied by the feeling of a slight depression in the bed where they are laying. This may sound scary to some who have not experienced it; however, for those of us who have, it is comforting to feel the warmth and affection of loved ones in spirit.
  • Scent in the Air – Have you ever picked up on a scent in the air that does not seem to fit in with your surroundings, such as cookies baking in your office or cigar smoke in a non-smoking hotel? Loved ones in spirit alter the molecules in the air to pipe in certain scents that remind you of them. It could be the smell of their perfume or a mechanic’s garage. When you pick up these unusual scents in the air that seem to have no logical source, who is it that you think of? Is it your grandmother who baked great cookies for family gatherings? Is it your father who used to love working on cars, and often came home smelling of grease and oil from his mechanic’s garage? The scents are usually strong and distinct, and they may be picked up on by others in your vicinity. That is because the scent is actually piped into the air when they send this type of message to you.
  • Cravings Out of the Blue – Have you ever had a sudden craving for your deceased mother’s apple pie, a craving so strong that you can actually taste it in your mouth? This is yet another way that spirit sends messages to us. The way they send this message is similar to the way they send messages that tickle our sense of smell. They alter the molecules in the air to send energy associated with certain tastes to the sensors in our mouths. This type of message is usually confused with physical cravings for certain foods. It is important when you experience a very strong craving to take a moment to think about whether this is a message being sent from spirit. Do you associate what you are craving with a particular loved one in heaven? If so, you can acknowledge the message for what it is, and not feel compelled to find someone who baked an apple pie like your mother’s.

Whenever you do recognize the signs sent by your heavenly support team, be sure to thank them for their efforts. They are always pleased when their transmissions are successful, because it means that you are open and paying attention to their loving messages.

There are many resources out there that can help you to understand the incredible ways that spirits communicate with us. The more you learn, the more you will be able to benefit from the extraordinary assistance that is being gifted to you on a daily basis from enlightened spiritual beings.
