Bringing Out the Best in Yourself and Others

Joshua and FrankPeople thrive when compassion and love is extended toward them. I have always said that all Spirit needs, both here and in Heaven, is compassion and love.

People are fascinating. I love learning about each individual that I meet because everyone has such interesting and incredible stories, as well as talents and abilities, that bring wonder and light to this world. What I find, though, is that people get so caught up in negativity and everyday concerns that they forget all of those wonderful qualities that they do have and they forget to take the time to enjoy the activities that make their souls sing.

When interacting with people, be it the cashier at the convenience store or your best friend, the more genuine you are with yourself, the more you are genuine with others. It doesn’t matter if it is a one-minute or one-hour conversation, just be yourself and your own light will already be shining. When this happens, there is an ease of knowing who you are that allows you to speak with others from the heart. It is amazing to see how people light up and open up when you speak from your heart to their heart…you can see how their light shines brighter around them.

Heartfelt communication is about empathy, relating, listening, sharing and responding. Understanding and compassion come through when you take the time to truly acknowledge a fellow soul. It is the kindness that you bestow upon others in your interactions that uplift another soul, as well your own.

If you are having a bad day and your mood is really sour, try to take a moment before you spread that negativity to the next person you meet. Acknowledge to yourself that you are having a rough time and let go of the angst. If you need to talk to a friend to help you work through the issues, do just that. As for the many people you come into contact with throughout your day, do your best to consciously decide not to pass on that black cloud to someone else. Again, if you need help getting through a rough patch, ask for help from your friends and family. That is one of the reasons why they are in your life, to help you and for you to help them as we work though the many complex issues and lessons that we learn as our souls evolve.

The next time you meet someone, speak from the heart. Ask how they are doing and mean it. Think about what it is like to be them and what it would mean to you if someone was genuinely interested in what you had to say. You will be amazed at how easy it is to connect with other souls on a genuine level and how good it feels to be yourself. The person you communicate with benefits as well, because you are giving them the gift of compassion which brightens their day.

Unity, Peace and Love

Peace RoseIt was amazing and wonderful to see so many people working as one this week in the face of the tragic events in Boston. As two misinformed and misguided young men wreaked havoc in an attempt to devastate our country and its people, we stood shoulder-to-shoulder and helped each other physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

We drew together as a people and lent a hand to help those in need, to do what we could to restore order and calm. Citizens closest to the scenes gave physical aid and comfort, sent their pictures from the race to the authorities, and kept their eyes and ears open for signs of these men and potential threats to our peace. Those of us at a distance sent our prayers, reposted the pictures of the young men on social media outlets, and lent the support of our hearts, our wallets, and our life-giving blood. Furthermore, people in law enforcement and emergency responders went above and beyond the call of duty. They are to be commended for their quick, cooperative responses and actions in the face of such unstable conditions and adversity.

Instead of allowing fear to drive us apart, we pulled together as we did following the events of September 11th. As a nation and as beings who ultimately want to live in peace, we banded together to stop the spread of fear by countering it with love and assistance for our fellow people. We prayed, helped those in need, and cooperated with the professionals trained to protect our safety.

As I prayed for the people who were directly affected by the events and for our nation as a whole, I also prayed for these young men who were taught somewhere along the way that violence and hatred were the answers to life’s problems. I prayed to God and the Angels, asking them to help these men, and anyone else like them, to understand that fear-driven ideology is counterproductive and counterintuitive to our purposes here on Earth.

Each and every day, we can continually strive to live in unity and peace with one another by sharing the love and compassion within our hearts. The more we do this, the better the world will be for all of us. There will still be those that turn to violence and fear, but if we counter it like we did with the events of Boston this week, we will be able to more quickly counter, and even prevent, future events designed to devastate our peace.

My prayer today, and every day, is for all of us to live in Love and to help each other experience the Light within each and every one of our hearts. Blessings and peace to all.

How we can be Angels on Earth

As we greet each day, we have hopes and dreams that we would like to see fulfilled whether it is for a new job, for a loved one to get well, or to find people with whom we can develop positive relationships, etc. In each of our hearts, we hold our individual dreams that we would love to see realized in a way that would benefit the good of all.

As Spirits on a human journey, we are here to help each other bring those life-affirming dreams to fruition – to be Angels on Earth by assisting and supporting one another during times of need, as well as in times of joy.

Sometimes, without our even knowing it, we may be called upon by God or the Angels to answer the prayers of others. For instance, your interactions with others may provide answers to problems you didn’t know they had and/or your random acts of kindness may bring happiness to a heart that has been riddled with sadness.

At other times, you may make conscious choices to help those in need. In my work as a Spirit Medium, I have made the decision to dedicate myself to the healing of Spirit here on Earth as a vessel through which Spirit in Heaven communicates. Others of you may have chosen to be a doctor or a nurse. Not everyone’s life purpose is to serve in this way; however, each one of us can contribute to the well-being of others in our own unique ways.

For example, we can choose to volunteer our time and/or resources to people who need us. This may take the form of donating gently used clothes and items, lending a hand to a friend, or giving a gift of money to a charity.

This Easter Sunday, I dedicated my time to cooking meals for people who are unable to leave their homes due to illness or injuries. I was inspired to do this after volunteering to cook in the Aid For Friends kitchen (www.AidforFriends.org) earlier this week. This local charity not only provides meals, but also companionship for people who have limited contact with the world outside of their doors.

As I thought about my experience at Aid for Friends, I realized that the donation of my time and skills was helping more than the recipients of the meals. I was also assisting with the hopes and dreams of the people who are involved with the running of the charity, as well as my own desire to bring joy and comfort to others.

I believe in the expression “what goes around, comes around.” I know that as I am helping people, others are helping me. The same happens for you. The return on your investment of love into the Spirit and well-being of others will be returned to you in a multitude of ways. When it does, be sure to share your appreciation and gratitude to the universe for the gifts that you have been given – both big and small. By doing so, you are recognizing the efforts and sacrifices that others have willingly made on your behalf.

This week, I give gratitude to God and the Angels for granting me the time and resources to share the love in my heart with all of us in Spirit here on Earth and in Heaven. It is my hope and my prayer that you, too, have many reasons to give and receive gratitude everyday of your life as you fulfill your life purposes as Angels on Earth.

The Gift of You

Beautiful SunflowerThe major theme that emerged this week had to do with how hard we are on ourselves and how we need to take time out to appreciate who we are and all of the accomplishments that we have achieved so far during our time here on Earth. It takes a conscious effort to turn your thought patterns around because negative thinking can become a habit. It pushes its way into our lives every day, but we can choose to deflect it and even step beyond the clouds that hover in order to see the light of our own souls.

A great way to start this shift in consciousness is to write a list about all of your accomplishments in this life, as well as all of your positive attributes. Sit in a quiet spot, place your hands over your heart, and take a deep breath in and exhale out. As you exhale, tell your ego to stop the mind-chatter. Dismiss all of your everyday concerns and focus on you and your heart. If you need help focusing, ask your Angels for assistance. They will be delighted to help you with this task.

Breathe deeply at least three times, then start thinking about you and your positive accomplishments, both planned and unplanned. Think about what you have done in your life and the kindnesses you have extended, as well as the moments that made you feel good about yourself. Write them on your list. Be honest. This list is for you, not anyone else. Keep the entire list positive. If any negative thoughts intrude, push the mind chatter of the ego away and get back to your list. Once you get going, I think you will be amazed at what your list reveals.

Whenever negativity intrudes or you are feeling particularly blue, pull out your list to remind yourself of how wonderful your life really has been. Keep the list growing by adding your accomplishments, big and small, as well as positive life-altering events and moments that have brought you joy and happiness. The list will keep growing as your soul evolves.

Even though we are focusing on the positive, it is important to know that adversity and negativity does serve its purpose. It may have even led to some of the more important and happy times in your life by clearing away that which is no long useful or by pushing you to go beyond your perceived limits to help you achieve your dreams.

Without darkness, there would be no light. The problem comes in when we let it rule our lives and thoughts, making it seem as if negative experiences are the expected norm in our lives. They are not. All experiences can be learned from and utilized for good. By making a list of your accomplishments and positive attributes, you are giving yourself the opportunity to see and appreciate all of your life experiences and the gift of you.

What Happens When We Cross Over into Heaven?

Into the LightThrough my communication with Spirit, I have been given great insight into what happens to our own Spirit when our physical bodies expire here on earth. Every soul is given the opportunity to cross over into Heaven. Our way is lit by an incredible white light, shimmering with facets of rainbow colors that is almost blinding in its brilliance. The Spirit of those who have crossed over before us, as well as Angels, Spirit Guides and Past Spiritual Masters, may all be there to help us with our transition and to show us the way.

Once we have crossed, the veil is lifted and we are once again reunited with the knowledge and understanding that may have eluded us when we were in human form. We review our lives in a non-judgmental way to see how our soul progressed on its earthly journey. Forgiveness, healing, and compassion are extended to us and by us as we understand the reasons for why we acted the way we did and for the choices that we made.

Our soul continues to evolve while in Heaven but in a more joyous way. We learn new skills, volunteer for jobs and special assignments, and learn to exist within the peace and harmony that surrounds us as we await our reunions with members of our soul group – family, friends, and loved ones who have yet to cross over. Some may choose to come back to earth for more lessons; however, most choose to wait for the reunions with their soul groups before coming back again.

The souls on earth who, in great sadness and desperation, take their own lives, are also given the opportunity to cross over into Heaven. This does not mean that there is not an extremely high price to pay. I cannot express strongly enough that suicide is never the answer to life’s problems. Instead of a rejoicing reunion with loved ones who have already crossed over, these souls move forward to a place of great healing which I refer to as the “Spiritual Hospital” in Heaven. There is a tremendous amount of spiritual pain that must be healed when these troubled souls realize the extent of what they had lost out on by interrupting their soul’s carefully planned evolvement through life on earth. This is an incredibly wrenching experience for souls who were already deeply troubled while they were here. Help is given to them at the Spiritual Hospital for as long as it takes and, when they are ready, they are free to rejoin the rest of the population in Heaven for their reunions and continued soul growth.

Ultimately, we choose whether or not we want to travel through the doorway to Heaven. We all have free will, even when it comes to a decision such as that. Some of those who choose not to cross may do so out of fear, doubt, or confusion. There are many reasons for this. Some souls fear that others will not survive without them, they may doubt where they are being led, or they may be confused about the fact that they are no longer living on earth. This does not mean that the door to Heaven is closed to them. Once their particular door closes, these souls will then need assistance with their crossing, such as an opening provided when someone else crosses or with the help of a Medium. Until assistance arrives, they reside in Spirit between worlds and may be upset or confused. If you suspect that you have a Spirit such as this around you, it is best to contact a Medium who can help them cross over into the light.

The most important message that Spirit wants you to understand is that Heaven does exist. Take comfort in knowing that your Spirit continues on after your body ceases to exist here on earth. Live well and love during your time here on earth, knowing that all of your experiences here are for the evolution of your soul and that Heaven awaits when your Spirit is ready for its next destination.

How Spirit Communicates with Mediums

Heavenly CloudsMany people that I meet have questions about how I communicate with Spirit. Some of them are under the impression that it is just like a conversation or a video that tells me everything in a straightforward manner. This is not the case. Even though portions of the communication do come across that way, most of it is much more complex than that.

Spirit communicates with me through a series of images, feelings, physical indicators, thoughts, tastes, smells, outward signs, etc. I explain to the recipients of my Spirit Medium readings that the information that I receive is like an abstract puzzle that needs to be pieced together. The following is a very brief synopsis of how it all works for me.

The process of giving a reading involves a fascinating, high-speed blend of information that needs to be quickly recognized, decoded, and interpreted. To begin the process, I concentrate on opening up my mind, heart, body, spirit, and aura to the Light. This serves to heighten my receptivity to Spirit communication through the super activation of all of my senses and raises my energy level up to meet that of Spirit. The connection is then made with Spirit through the supreme source of love that flows throughout all beings.

As I flow through the reading, I focus on the task of accurately receiving, interpreting, and sharing the information transferred to me from Spirit. First and foremost, I need to determine who is coming through, their relationship to you, as well as the specific messages that Spirit wants to share with you. The ultimate purpose of Spirit coming through for you is to provide healing for you, whether that is in the form of reassurance that they are in Heaven or guidance about your life, etc.

Spirit uses symbols, imagery, sounds, etc. from my knowledge and memory bank (aka. “databank”). Since my databank of experiences is unique to me, symbols, etc. that come through for me may have an entirely different meaning for another Medium. With each Medium, Spirit knows what information to use within our unique databanks to get their information through.

It always amazes me how creative Spirit is when communicating with me. They often overlap symbols, thoughts, feelings, physical indicators, etc. to express their messages. Sometimes people expect Spirit to tell them extremely specific information such as a title to a song, but if that is a song that I have never heard, it may be very complicated and challenging for Spirit to send that information, as well as for me to receive and interpret it.

All in all, Spirit communication is a wonderful, yet complex process that requires a tremendous amount of energy to complete. I hope that this information helps you to better understand the process and to appreciate the effort it takes from both Spirit and Mediums to get those incredible, blessed messages through to you.
