How Loved Ones in Spirit Communicate and the Messages They Bring

When communicating across dimensions, loved ones in spirit bring through information for a spirit medium using all their extrasensory senses and earthly senses. This rich and complex form of communication goes beyond the provision of verbal information to provide immersive experiences for the spirit medium to describe to the recipient of a reading. The information is transferred soul to soul through the invisible network which connects all of us with one another. In some ways, it can be likened to a deep telepathic connection between the medium and the loved one in spirit.

There are unique challenges within this form of communication, including but not limited to, the need for the spirit medium to be completely open to the information coming through and to trust what is being shared. From a spirit medium’s perspective, the information may not be in chronological order, it can contain symbols for the spirit medium to decipher, and it may not make immediate sense to the spirit medium as the flashes of information give the spirit medium glimpses and experiences of a life they did not live. It is the spirit medium’s job to describe all the information they are receiving to help the recipient to identify and claim the loved one in spirit, as well as to convey the message the loved one in spirit would like to share.

As the receiver, the spirit medium does his or her best to allow the information to flow from the loved one in spirit to them. They then describe everything they are experiencing without filtering in order to transmit the information in the way the loved one in spirit is providing it. Spirit mediums need to remain completely open and without bias as the information is coming through as they are the vessel through which the information flows. They are not the originators of the information. They are the receivers and transmitters.

It is important to note the spirit medium does not control who comes through for the recipient or what they want to communicate with their loved ones on Earth. The loved ones in spirit know who the recipient of the reading needs to hear from on a soul level, as well as what the recipient needs to heal their life or to help them on their life path. There are times when recipients have someone unexpected coming through. Who comes through is as important as the message they bring and those messages are meant to bring healing to the soul of the recipient and/or their relatives or friends.

The Recipient Must Be Open

In order for the communications to proceed in the best possible way, the recipient of the reading also needs to be open minded about who will be coming through and the information to be shared. Just as the spirit medium does not control the loved ones in spirit coming through, neither does the recipient. By keeping an open mind and heart, the recipient can be more receptive to the information coming through which helps with the process of claiming and identifying the loved one in spirit. Additionally, without preformed ideas of who will be coming through and why, the recipient allows the loved one in spirit to provide divine insight which may not have been recognized or accepted if the recipient was solely focusing on certain loved ones or expecting specific messages.

Information That Can Be Validated

For each person or pet coming through in spirit, the loved one in spirit transmits information to help the recipient of the reading identify them. The information often includes what they looked like toward the end of their life or if they did not like what they looked like at the end they send an earlier image of themselves, physical characteristics, how they passed, what they did for a living, hobbies, favorite activities, houses they lived in, what their personality was like on Earth, and memories from the past. The information they bring can be validated by the recipient of the reading or by those who knew the loved one in spirit.

Messages from the Other Side

Once the loved one in spirit is claimed and identified by the recipient, they can then share the personal messages they have from the Other Side with the recipient of the reading. The information comes through in the same way, using all the senses of the spirit medium.

What Kinds of Messages Do Loved Ones in Spirit Share?

There are a variety of reasons why a loved one in spirit would like to communicate a direct message to a recipient. All the reasons have to do with healing, love, and our spiritual journeys. When loved ones ascend to Heaven, they are given knowledge and insight which provides a higher understanding of why events occurred the way they did on Earth, why they behaved the way they did, and why others behaved the way they did. The information reveals the lessons they learned in life and the ones they still need to work on, as well as how all that fits into the soul plans laid out before they were born and the reasons for our existence as souls.

It is from this new perspective that loved ones in spirit provide messages for those they love on Earth. They are still who they are, but with a higher understanding and views which enable them to help the living with their journeys. Even if there is someone coming through in spirit who did not behave well in life, they are there to ask for forgiveness in order to provide the recipient the opportunity to release and heal the pain of the past. Loved ones in spirit do not come through to shame, hurt, or embarrass, as the communications are transmitted through the divine love which connects all our souls. The limited understanding they had on Earth has been transcended through knowledge, which also allows for the release of lower negative energies experienced while living on this plane.

Here are some examples of information loved ones in spirit bring through in their messages during a reading:

  • Letting the recipient know they made it to Heaven and that they are doing well
  • Sharing information about what Heaven is like and what they are doing:
    • Who they are with
    • What their experience was crossing over
    • How they can visit people on Earth and send signs and messages, as well as what those signs and messages are
    • What their Heaven looks like
    • Activities
      • Learning new skills, exploring the Past Life Pavilion, volunteering to be a guardian angel, etc.
    • How they are receiving healing – souls who had a hard time in life can receive healing in the Spiritual Hospital
  • Providing assistance for the lives of those on Earth, including insight into events which will occur in the future, including upcoming travel, job situations, relationship issues, etc.
  • Asking for forgiveness and expressing apologies for their behavior on Earth
  • Supplying reasons for the behaviors of people on Earth, including family histories of behavioral patterns that may be causing issues in the present
  • Taking responsibility for their own actions in life to provide healing and understanding
  • To share their love and to say, “I love you” – this is especially important if they did not share this while on Earth
  • Providing encouragement for pursuits in life
  • Sharing information about important events, such as weddings, births, holiday gatherings, and more, as well as mundane events, which occurred since they passed to demonstrate they have been visiting and know about events on Earth
  • Delivering important information in which the recipient needs guidance:
    • The handling of their estate
    • Insight into next steps for jobs, relationships, education, etc.
  • Bringing healing to loved ones on Earth to help their souls move forward with lessons and soul evolution (forgiveness, lessons, relationships)
  • Acknowledging and appreciating assistance provided to them while they were living, as well as for the love shared
  • And much more

The Divine Within Us All

The ways in which loved ones in spirit communicate, as well as the messages they send, are shared through the bond of divine love which connects us all to one another. The more open the spirit medium and the recipient of the reading are to the loved ones in spirit and the communications from Heaven, the more easily the information flows, which also allows for more insights and love to be shared.

Why Certain Loved Ones in Spirit Come Through During a Reading and Not Others

Woman smiling with head resting on handsWhen sitting for a reading, everyone has certain people they would like to hear from, such as their mother, grandfather, significant other, or pet. However, there are times when the loved one you long to hear from does not step forward on their own to share communications from the Other Side. It does not mean they do not love you, but rather that the people or pets coming through have something very important to share with you that can only be shared by them due to their relationship with you, their experiences in life, and what you need on a soul level to help you with your life at the time of the reading.

Get the Most Out of Your Reading with an Open Mind and Heart

Keeping an open mind about who is coming through for you is important for getting the most out of communications from your loved ones in spirit. They know better than you what you need for your life to bring healing, closure, and guidance because they know on a soul level what you need to grow and evolve in this lifetime. You can request a specific loved one in spirit to come through; however, it is up to that loved one in spirit to decide whether it is in your best interest to come through. Most of the time they do; however, there have been a few rare times when they have not readily stepped up in order to allow another loved one in spirit to bring through communications from the Other Side. Here are some of the reasons why this may occur:

The Need for Your Heart to Heal

There are times when deep grief can be overwhelming. Your loved ones in spirit recognize the need for you to heal and adjust to the new reality of not having them physically with you on Earth. When in very deep grief, there can sometimes be a tendency to hold on to the past so strongly that forward movement is being temporarily blocked. Your loved ones in spirit recognize this and know you need time and space to heal. It may seem counter to what you think you need; however, they know you may be attempting to hold on to them too strongly and may not be open to what they need to share with you. Giving yourself some time to heal and work through your grief immediately following the crossing of a loved one allows you to be as open as possible to their communications. There are also times when people attempt to see multiple spirit mediums in a short period of time to hold onto the past, which does not allow the heart and soul to heal. Your loved ones in spirit know what you need when you need it, and the one you are constantly trying to connect with may hold back from coming through to give you the space you need to heal and move forward with your life. In this instance, other loved ones in spirit will come through to help you with your life and the challenges you are facing.

They Need Assistance Bringing Through Messages

In certain situations, loved ones in spirit may need assistance communicating through a spirit medium. This can sometimes occur when a loved one has recently crossed over into Heaven and has not yet learned how to communicate spirit-to-spirit on their own, or they are spending time in the spiritual hospital to heal their soul or to be fully woken up in Heaven, as is the case with those who were catatonic for a long period of time while on Earth. During a reading, another loved one in spirit may come through first to help with the communication process. They are there to lend their support, love, and expertise to help the loved one in spirit to share communications with you.

There Are Others in Spirit Who Have Important Communications to Help You with Your Life

There are times when you would like to hear from a particular loved one in spirit, such as your mother, but your father comes through instead. This does not mean that your mother does not love you or want to communicate with you. It means your father has messages for you to help you with your life that only he can deliver because of his relationship with you and his experiences in life. Your loved ones in spirit have a unique perspective on your life from Heaven. They know more about you and the events destined for your life than you may realize. It is because of this that one particular loved one in spirit may be the one to share communications with you, instead of the one you wanted to hear from that day. Communications from Heaven contain healing messages at the deeper soul-level. Even when they are helping you with seemingly simple occurrences or events in your day-to-day life, they are providing you with proof of their existence beyond life on Earth, as well as their knowledge and ability to help you across dimensions. This information may be just what you need to believe in our existence beyond life on Earth and to know that your connection with them is as vital and loving as it was in life.

They Are Ashamed of How They Passed or How They Treated You

When someone has had a hand in the ending of their life, such as from suicide, a drug overdose, or chronic alcoholism, these loved ones in spirit have a tendency to wait in the background or hesitate to come through. This is because they are not proud of how they died or how they brought pain to those they love while they were living and in their manner of passing. They do not want to cause more pain. Their reluctance to step forward has to do with their own sadness with the way they passed, as well as their disappointment in themselves for bringing pain to others and missing out on what could have been in their lifetime. The consequences they experience from their actions on Earth require much healing for their souls in the spiritual hospital in Heaven. During their healing, they are also provided with coping mechanisms and insights to help them work through similar situations in their next lifetime. Even though they have received healing, there is still a sense of sadness for their actions on Earth that comes through when they do communicate. If you or someone you love is struggling with depression or substance abuse, contact a licensed therapist, call your National Suicide Hotline, or a substance abuse specialist to get help with the healing process while here on Earth where it is crucial for the soul to receive help as soon as possible.

You Already Communicate with Them Every Day and They May Put Others Before Themselves

Some people are very much in tune with their loved ones in spirit and they communicate with them every day through their thoughts and speaking out loud to them. The answers are received through signs, urges to take positive actions, answers through music, and much more. Because the relationship is already in tune and they are comfortable with the love you share, they may allow others in spirit to come through first if they have important messages to share with the recipient. At times, they may be displaying an aspect of their personality in which they would put others before themselves. Once that is acknowledged, they will step forward with their messages. As a note, healing, assistance, and messages from Heaven can come from people you would not expect, including great-grandparents or grandparents you did not know in life, a friend whom you helped more than you realized, in-laws and ex-in-laws, pets, and more.

Lack of Faith or Lack of an Open Mind

There are times when a lack of faith by the recipient gets in the way of communications from the Other Side. A loved one in spirit may be trying to come through, but the person sitting for the reading may be holding out for one specific piece of information to come through before they will claim them. Even though loved ones in spirit may be bringing through a lot of detailed information about their life, houses they lived in, their personality, their work, and more, some recipients reject the information because they are only listening for a “pre-arranged” code word or specific piece of information to confirm them by. For instance, on the day of a reading, the recipient may ask in their mind for a loved one in spirit to say “pickles” in a reading, just so they can know it is them. Sometimes loved ones in spirit will comply with that request and other times they will not. Most of the time it backfires because we do not control how our loved ones in spirit behave or communicate. The holding out creates a block because the recipient is attempting to control how the loved one in spirit decides to come through. There are a lot of lessons in that. Neither the medium nor the recipient controls what loved ones in spirit decide to bring through. Faith plays an important role for the spirit medium and the recipient during a reading. The loved one in spirit knows what the recipient needs for the growth of their soul. Letting go of the desire to control can be one of the important factors and lessons for the recipient, which is why they will not always play the game of bringing through that code word or piece of information, but will bring many other pieces of information which are unique to them. There are deep spiritual reasons for their behavior and if you are doubting the existence of Heaven, they may bring through information in a way that requires an open mind and your belief in their existence in order for you to receive it.

Knowing They Love You

Our loved ones in spirit truly know what we need for our hearts and souls. When sitting for a reading, it is best to keep an open mind and heart to those who will be coming through, how they come through, and the messages they bring. By doing so, you allow yourself to be the recipient of information and knowledge from your loved ones in spirit in Heaven that will help you with your life and help you grow as a soul. They are privy to the bigger picture when they are sharing information with you and they can help guide you through situations of healing, to improved circumstances, to an understanding about our existence beyond life on Earth, and much more. Most importantly, they love you and every aspect of you, and they also want what is best for you and all whom you love.

Communicating Across Dimensions: Are Readings Over the Phone and Video Chat as Effective as an In-Person Reading?

Can readings by a Spirit Medium over the phone or using video chat services be as effective and powerful as those received in-person? The short answer is yes, and it has everything to do with the way loved ones in spirit and the angels transmit information to the Spirit Medium.

How Loved Ones in Spirit Communicate

When loved ones in spirit are bringing through information to me, they are using all my extrasensory and earthly senses. This complex form of communication occurs through the transference of energy for a richer experience of detail and firsthand knowledge from the source of the information. Because loved ones in spirit and the angels do not have physical voice boxes, the information is transmitted soul-to-soul using a form of telepathic transmission utilizing all the senses. I often tell people that it is not like a fireside chat in which loved ones in spirit or the angels are using only words to convey information. Instead, it is like an abstract puzzle which needs to be put together through internal impressions of images, sounds, feelings, physical indicators, tastes, and smells sent to provide identifying information, as well as messages and guidance. Here are some examples of how loved ones in spirit provide information.

Extrasensory Seeing

In my mind’s eye, also referred to as the third eye, I see images which provide detailed information about what loved ones in spirit looked like in life usually close to the time of their passing, scenes from their lifetime to help with the identification process (jobs, hobbies, objects, houses they lived in, etc.), images of recent events the recipient of the reading participated in to demonstrate they have been visiting from heaven, images of future events, and symbols to indicate personality traits and their relationship with the recipient of the reading.

Extrasensory Hearing

They send sounds, which I hear internally, such as songs, words in other languages to indicate they spoke a language other than English, names of people and pets, metal hitting metal to indicate they worked with metal in their lifetime, words and phrases they used, specific messages to their loved ones on earth, and much more. It is interesting to note when communicating with someone who spoke a language other than English, I hear a few words in the other language or languages to provide the identifying information, then the language switches to English for me to comprehend the information coming through.

Extrasensory Feeling

Physically, I receive indicators of how loved ones in spirit passed, including pins and needles-like tingling in an area affected by cancer, pressure in the region of my heart if they experienced a heart attack, or achiness in the kidneys if they were failing at the end. I can also experience indicators such as slight shortness of breath or brief dizziness as experienced by the loved one in spirit, as well as hundreds of other physical indicators a loved one in spirit experienced around the time of their passing. It is important to note that as a professional Spirit Medium, I have learned how to tell the difference between the physical indicators they send as opposed to issues I may be personally experiencing with my own health.

In addition to physical indicators, I get a good feel for their personalities, as well as what loved ones in spirit were experiencing emotionally and mentally not only at the end of their life, but also during specific situations they are bringing to my attention to share with the recipient. Loved ones in spirit who had a good sense of humor love to bring that through. People who were grouchy toward the end or throughout life, usually just show me or tell me that instead of bringing those emotions through to be felt and experienced.

Extrasensory Tasting and Smelling

Taste and smell do come into play as well. For example, if a loved one in spirit was a good cook or baker, had a sweet tooth, drank alcohol, used mothballs, or smoked, they will transmit the taste and smell to me, usually accompanied by images or words.

Unique Details for Soul-Healing Experiences and Guidance

The level of detail of the information coming through is amazing and unique to the loved one in spirit. Often, when providing these impressions, they use multiple senses at a time to convey a more complete situational view in a first-person perspective from the loved one in spirit. I do not control or filter the information they bring. As the receiver of the information, it is my job to describe, in as much detail as possible, all the impressions and transmissions I am receiving. This occurs when I am sitting with the recipient in person, or over the phone, or while using video chat services.

Physical Distance is Not an Issue

I do not need to be in someone’s physical presence for the information to come through with clarity. It comes through the same way, and I describe it the same way, as I do when the recipient is in my physical presence. Loved ones in spirit and the angels can see us and know when we are sitting for a reading. In fact, they are most likely the ones who prompted you to receive their communications from the Other Side. When loved ones in spirit or the angels want to get messages to you, they speak to my guys and gals in heaven and begin the process of facilitating our meeting. Therefore, when you sit for a reading, they are already present and ready to transmit information and messages.

Remember, your loved ones in spirit are communicating across dimensions. Physical distance between those of us on earth has no impact on the information coming through. It is also good to know when you sit for a reading, your loved ones in spirit are with you, no matter where you are. They can be in your presence and still communicate with me across any distance because there truly is no separation between us. We are all connected through the hearts of our spirits using an invisible network which connects us all.

Just as Powerful

Over the years, I have experienced many powerful readings over the phone and using video chat services. One of my favorite examples from a phone reading include a woman whose husband was coming through in spirit. After bringing through information about what he looked like, his personality, who he was to her, how he passed, what he did for a living, and more, she was able to definitively identify and claim him as her deceased husband. Once he was identified, we moved into the second phase of bringing through the messages he had for her. In the process of bringing through messages, he conveyed to me that he was with her right at that moment and showed me an image of her. I described what I was seeing and what he was conveying. The description included the room she was in and the layout, the clothes she was wearing, and her hair color and style, as well as her physique. She was stunned because the description was accurate. There was no way I could know that information because she was thousands of miles away and I had never met her. This was a very powerful moment in her reading, because she knew, without a doubt, her husband in spirit was in her presence at that very moment.

In every reading, unique information is shared by loved ones in spirit that help you to know it is truly them. It is important to note, though, that demanding certain information from loved ones in spirit, such as a code word or song as proof it is them, often backfires as your loved ones in spirit will bring what they want to bring, not necessarily what you demand. In life, people do not always behave in a way you expect, and it is the same when they are coming through in spirit. There are important soul-level reasons for the information they bring and there are often messages within the messages pointing to specific situations, personality traits, and more that loved ones in spirit convey during a reading. Moreover, they will bring through unique information to help you identify them. It is information that I would have no prior knowledge of, such as descriptions of houses they grew up in, pets, jobs, hobbies, specific objects they owned, descriptions of siblings and children on earth that I never met, meaningful situations in which only you and your loved one in spirit were present for, and so much more. This is their way of letting you know it is really them. It is important to remain open to who comes through for you, as well as their messages. They know better than you what you need to hear and who you need to hear it from in order to bring healing and guidance to you and your loved ones on earth on a soul level. When they are taking the time and energy to communicate across dimensions, it is often a much deeper experience than most people expect.

Communicating with the Archangels

When connecting with the Archangels for an Angel Reading about guidance for your life, the communications come through in the same manner using all my extrasensory senses and earthly senses. They send detailed impressions of current and future events, answers to questions about your life and the lives of those you love, and much more. The Archangels are very fluid in their communications because they have more experience communicating across dimensions. Again, I do not need to be in the physical presence of the recipient of the reading to receive this information. As the receiver, the information is sent to me regardless of where I am or where you are in the world.

Love is the Key Element

Throughout all the communications from the Other Side, love is the key element which makes spirit to spirit communication possible. We are all created from love and are love. It is the essence of our spirits. The information transmitted across dimensions is done so with love and with the aim of bringing healing and guidance to your life. When you sit for a reading, whether in person, over the phone, or using video chat services, it is through love that this information is transmitted—your love for your loved ones in spirit and the angels, their love for you, and my love for all beings both here and in heaven.

Synchronicity: How Events are Facilitated on Earth with Divine Timing

Even when it seems mistakes are being made or you are unsure about which path to follow, events are being orchestrated from the Other Side to help lead you into situations which provide maximized opportunities for growth and dreams fulfilled.

Soul Lessons

Deep within our souls, we have information which contains our goals for this lifetime. Our goals are defined by the soul contracts we created prior to birth about the lessons we agreed to learn this time around. This information was obscured from us when we were born in order to allow us to work through challenges and experiences with an open mind and to provide opportunities for us to rediscover our divine reasons for being. In many ways, it may seem as though we are blindly forging ahead, not knowing what will happen or what to expect, but hoping for the best. The good news is we are not alone on this journey. We receive a tremendous amount of assistance from our Heavenly Support Teams who help us navigate our paths through signs and messages, as well as help us to be in the right place at the right time for events to unfold with impeccable divine timing.

Worrying About Outcomes

As human beings, we have the tendency to worry about outcomes and will attempt to take actions to drive the outcomes we desire. Questions swirl in our minds about what is going to happen in the future with our relationships, careers, jobs, finances, children, parents, friends, family, pets, and more. We question our decisions and actions, often wondering if they were the right ones. Worrying, though, does not change what is destined to occur. Often, worry halts forward progress and robs us of the present because we can become lost in the various worst-case scenarios our minds create and replay as if the answers for being prepared are hidden within the “what-if” story lines we imagine. Even if the worst-case scenarios do occur, there are positive reasons for those negative circumstances. There are times when we must go through the challenging times in order to grow as souls or help others on their path. The positive reasons and benefits might not be revealed right away, but if you keep looking for them, they will be revealed to you in time. Often, when experiencing extremely tragic circumstances, it is very difficult to see how anything positive can come out of them. It is important to keep in mind the lessons we agreed to learn in this lifetime through our soul contracts. I have personally experienced great tragedy that I would never wish on anyone else, nor would I want to go through it again; however, I have reached a point where I can not only recognize the lessons I learned, but also be grateful for the experiences that made me who I am today.

Divine Intervention

All experiences, whether positive or negative, are designed to help us successfully progress through our soul lessons. The Archangels, tasked with helping humankind with their journeys, facilitate events on earth to maximize the opportunities for each soul. The timing, whether you agree with it or not, is truly amazing. The sheer scale of the real-time planning and organization of events is mind-boggling. With every action there is a reaction with rippling effects across the lives of many, which then creates more actions and reactions, all of which tie in to our individual soul contracts. The ripples keep going without end, creating perpetual cycles which weave together to simultaneously assist with the achievement of personal soul lessons while maintaining a functioning world. The incredible precision for the timing of events for millions of people is truly astounding; and yet, it occurs often without notice or appreciation. It is usually when major events line up in such a way that the only conclusion is divine intervention, that our eyes are opened to this phenomenon of being in sync with our divine plans and we recognize the hand of something greater than us steering our courses.

This amazing synchronicity is sometimes mistakenly classified as a coincidence. There really are no coincidences. Each event on earth is carefully and strategically planned based on what needs to happen for each one of us in real-time. No amount of worrying would have changed these events. They were meant to occur when all people and events were in alignment with one another.

In my own life, I have seen incredible events converge not only for myself, but also for others. In that moment, I can see how prior experiences and lessons brought myself or others to the exact moment in time in which dreams come true, prayers are answered, or lessons learned. With the epiphany comes the realization that without the events of the past, the current circumstances could not have evolved because we would not be where we needed to be, spiritually or emotionally, in order to receive this divinely-timed gift.

Making the Most of Our Time

In essence, if we can learn to release excessive worries and embrace present moments, we are gifting ourselves with the ability to enjoy our lives with a sense of calm and acceptance. Over the years, I have learned to release the struggle of trying to make situations go the way I wanted them to go. I learned to make plans, but to be open to changes. I also review experiences from the past to determine what I could do better going forward and to look for the positive reasons for negative circumstances. While looking forward and backward, I do my best to not get caught up in what is going to happen next or rehash the past so many times that it becomes detrimental. There is a balance that can be achieved through the acceptance of that which cannot be controlled for the future and an acknowledgement of circumstances of the past, which can bring you to a place in your life where you can focus your attention on the present. In doing so, you can make the most of your time here on earth while remaining open to those incredible moments of synchronicity.

Exploring the Great Mysteries: Why Spirit Communication Uses All the Senses

When loved ones communicate from the Other Side, they use all the senses to bring through identifying information, as well as messages for their loved ones here on earth. Recently, a client asked me why they do that rather than sharing information through straightforward conversation using words alone. If they can transmit words and phrases, why don’t they just do that instead of using all my senses to transmit messages and information?

How Spirit Communication Works

As a spirit medium, I receive and share communications from the Other Side on a daily basis, not only for myself, but also for clients interested in connecting with their deceased loved ones. It is a complex form of communication utilizing all the senses to transmit information across dimensions from one being to another. Images of deceased loved ones are sent to my mind’s eye, also referred to as the Third Eye, to provide a description of what they looked like in life. They also send images of activities they participated in while on earth, places they lived, jobs they worked, hobbies, and more, to help with the identification process. Words, phrases, meaningful songs, and sound effects are used to enhance and add to the information coming through. In addition, physical indicators are provided to indicate how they passed, as well as if there was anything unusual about their physical condition that would be noteworthy in order to help identify them. I receive a good feel for their personality traits, as well as memories associated with specific tastes and scents. The information needs to be pieced together like an abstract puzzle in order to identify the loved ones coming through, as well as to interpret the messages they are sending. All this information is transmitted from their spirit to mine through the invisible network which connects all of us to one another.

When my client asked why loved ones in spirit communicate in such an elaborate way instead of just stating the information in a straightforward manner, it got me to thinking. Why don’t they do that? It would certainly be easier than piecing together the bits of information to identify them and bring through messages. To me, the way they communicated using all my senses was a given. I never questioned it. I accepted it without question as their preferred method of communication. When presented with this question, I asked my Heavenly Support Team for the answers.

 Receiving Answers

The most immediate answer I received was that spirit communication is part of the great mysteries. By that, I mean the great mysteries of our existence. For example, the reasons for our existence, why we are experiencing life on earth, and whether heaven exists. As human beings, we are on a spiritual journey on earth to grow as souls. We experience a myriad of challenges and victories designed to help us to discover our strengths and weaknesses, to learn to love ourselves and others, and to help us discover within ourselves our connection with the divine and beliefs about what exists beyond life on earth. Faith is a significant part of our lessons. Throughout our lives we face a multitude of situations designed to build or instill faith. The gift of free will enables us to decide for ourselves what to believe or disbelieve.

Providing a Blank Canvas for Learning

 When we were born, the knowledge we had of heaven was temporarily veiled from us. This is done to provide us with the maximum amount of opportunities to grow as souls, because if we came down here knowing everything, there would be nothing to strive toward. Part of our spiritual journey includes the quest to rediscover the hidden knowledge about the existence of worlds and beings beyond our earthly existence. Because life is a journey based on free will choices about whether to believe or disbelieve in something greater than us, we are given glimpses or hints of the extraordinary through miracles, near death experiences, dreams, visions, and spirit communications and signs, including uncanny circumstances that have no earthly explanation. These experiences are designed to inspire us to think, question our beliefs, reinforce our faith, or provide answers to questions about our lives.

Leaving Room for Questions

The phenomenon of spirit communication provides proof of our existence beyond life on earth, but it also leaves room for questions. It is the universal language of the soul which transcends ordinary verbal communication in order to provide in-depth first-person perspectives from the deceased loved one. Unique identifying information, which would not be known to the spirit medium but known to the recipient of the reading or their loved ones, is shared to provide proof of the deceased loved one’s continued existence in spirit. It could be the description of a specific episode in the life of the recipient or the recipient’s relatives in which only they were present and no one else has knowledge of its occurrence.

The very richness of the communications using all the senses provides a fully immersive perspective from the sender, which allows for seeing, feeling, hearing, tasting, smelling, and knowing information about the past, present, and future. Language barriers do not exist, as any words or phrases brought through are automatically translated into a language the spirit medium understands. This is true for deceased loved ones who spoke a different language, as well as animals who also have the ability to communicate spirit-to-spirit. The incredible experience of communicating spirit-to-spirit goes beyond two-dimensional verbal communications to a fully immersive experience providing detailed sensory impressions of actual experiences of the deceased, as well as information and guidance about the future. The process itself is awe-inspiring and humbling, as it brings forth knowledge and proof of that which exists beyond life on earth. In view of our purpose in life to journey onward as souls gathering knowledge and basing our spiritual beliefs upon our experiences, it makes sense that spirit communication is part of the great mysteries. It provides extraordinary insights and knowledge which inspires us to think and to determine for ourselves if we are believers.

Signs and Messages to Loved Ones on Earth

When loved ones in spirit send signs or bring through messages directly to their loved ones on earth, without the help of a trained spirit medium, they use all the senses. For example, they will place a scent in the air which reminds the receiver of the scent of a loved one in spirit, such as their specific cologne or perfume, cigarette smoke, flowers, or food baking or cooking. The scents piped into the air usually do not fit within the environment in which they are experienced. For example, one morning I smelled brownies baking in my kitchen, even though no one in the house was cooking or baking and had not for hours, and all the windows were closed, meaning the scent was not wafting in from a neighbor’s home. There were no scented candles lit or any other devices which would have piped the scent into the air. There was no earthly origin for that scent. It immediately brought to mind my father’s mother, who loved to bake and cook. It was her way of letting me know she was around.

Because loved ones in spirit utilize all our senses to communicate, they have a vast treasure trove of methods for getting our attention in order to let us know of their existence beyond life on earth. These occurrences, which are not coincidences, inspire awe and wonder about the great mysteries, which is exactly what they are designed to do. Through the gift of free will, human beings have the ability to believe or disbelieve the information being provided. Instead of providing all the answers in a straightforward manner, beings in spirit employ communication methodologies which encourage the inner journey of determining personal faith and beliefs. Again, this quest to rediscover the knowledge within our souls is part of our spiritual journey as human beings and is written into our soul contracts of lessons for this lifetime.

It is an Honor

For me, the ability to communicate spirit-to-spirit is a unique gift and an honor. It enables me to help others on earth to better understand our universe, how spirit communication works, our soul purposes, and evidence of what exists beyond life on earth. It does not mean I am all-knowing. Like you, I am on a spiritual journey to rediscover the hidden knowledge of the great mysteries. Being able to communicate directly with beings in spirit fulfills the calling bestowed upon me in this lifetime to be the bridge between this world and the next. It enables me to help others with their spiritual journeys, while also encouraging my own explorations into the deeper meanings behind our existence.

Experiencing Paranormal Activity? It Could Be Your Loved Ones in Spirit

There is much more to our world than what appears to be. Our loved ones who have crossed over into Heaven have amazing access to our world, which means they can not only communicate across dimensions, but also can make their presence known to us in ways that use all our senses. They do not mean to frighten you with their activity, but rather, they want to get your attention to let you know they are around and to share helpful information with you about your life or the lives of those you love. Anyone who has lost a loved one can experience paranormal activity. It does not mean you have a ghost in your home, but rather loved ones in spirit who are doing their best to let you know you are loved and supported. Knowing how they do this will help you to understand communications across dimensions and why it is happening.

There are many ways in which loved ones in spirit try to gain your attention. If you are ignoring their subtler signs, which can easily happen if you are not aware of the signs, they may increase their activities to the point in which you cannot ignore them. Usually, this is when people reach out to me to figure out what is going on. Here are some examples of how loved ones in spirit try to get your attention:

Visual Signs

  • Seeing them, a bar of light, or shadow out of the corner of your eye. Most of the time when you turn to look, the shape or image is no longer visible.
  • Repeatedly seeing numbers that remind you of a loved one in spirit, such as a house number, birthday, death date, anniversary, or favorite number.
  • Seeing repeated visual reminders of them in the form of images or words, such as frequent references to their favorite activities, jobs they worked, or favorite locations.
  • Visitations in your dreams.
  • The appearance or images of butterflies, ladybugs, cardinals, blue jays, dragonflies, hummingbirds, hawks, rainbows, coins, and more could be a sign that a loved one in spirit is near.
  • Moving objects, such as tilting pictures or artwork, knocking a picture or artwork over or off the wall, making a rocking chair rock on its own, or moving a small object like a pen.
  • Removing objects from your space and returning them. Often the objects are important to you or them, such as jewelry, photographs, keys, or watches.
  • Electronics acting up, including the digitizing of your television screen, the freezing or malfunctioning of phones and computers in a strange manner, lights blinking or blowing out, or car windows malfunctioning (going up and down on their own).
  • Seeing your loved one in spirit fully manifested in front of you like a ghost (rare but does occur). They do not do this often because it takes a tremendous amount of energy to do this and it can sometimes be disconcerting to the person seeing them.

Auditory Signs

  • Hearing your name being called in their voice.
  • Hearing music that reminds you of them, especially if it is a song you would not normally hear or hearing it with perfect timing to coincide with your thinking of them.
  • Hearing music that plays in your head. As a note, they use this method to get direct messages to you. Look up the lyrics.
  • Hearing their name or nickname spoken by someone else.
  • Experiencing a radio or musical device acting up or turning on by itself with or without a power source.
  • Hearing people speaking when no one is physically in your presence. You may or may not be able to decipher the words.
  • Receiving thoughts that feel as though they are not your own and are heard in your own voice. They may come through as a word or phrase intended to help you. Loved ones in spirit will never send information telling you to hurt yourself or another.

Sensory Signs

  • Feeling the presence of a loved one in spirit. There is a heightened awareness or feeling that your loved one in spirit is with you.
  • Feeling a touch, as though someone placed their hand on your shoulder or arm.
  • Feeling a wash of love from head to toe. This is when tingles start at the top of your head and travel throughout your body. This is one of the ways loved ones in spirit send you hugs from Heaven.
  • Mysterious pains or sensations associated with a loved one’s ailments or passing. Usually, this occurs with spirit mediums who are trained to decipher the difference between personal ailments and sensory communications from loved ones in spirit.

Olfactory Signs

  • Smelling a scent that reminds you of them or you attribute to them. It usually does not belong where you are and is very strong, such as a perfume or cologne, cigarette smoke, chocolate, mothballs, or a favorite food they cooked or baked. You may be the only one who smells it.

Gustatory Signs

  • Experiencing a strong craving or taste for food they made or liked, as well as tasting cigarette or cigar smoke.

There are numerous ways loved ones in spirit let you know they are around. None of them should be ominous or threatening in any way. Fears can be heightened when there is a lack of understanding about how the spirit world operates, which is why there is a lot of misinformation out there regarding this topic. Many books, movies, and television shows have notoriously depicted paranormal activity as demonic beings intent on harming you. This is due to misunderstanding how spirit communication works from the Other Side, as well as the purposeful heightening of the fear factor for attention-getting purposes in film and television shows. To this day, I have never encountered anything I considered demonic or a poltergeist. Even if something like that did exist, I give it no power. The majority of the time, it is your loved ones in spirit trying to help you with your life or letting you know they are around loving and supporting you. Loved ones in spirit will also send you repeated signs to provide guidance for your life. If you are unsure of what your loved ones in spirit are attempting to convey, you can always book a reading with a professional spirit medium to receive direct messages from your loved ones in spirit. As a side note, those who had a funny or mischievous side to their personality in life still have that and will delight in having a bit of fun with you regarding their signs and the movement of objects.


When Paranormal Activity is More Pronounced or Disturbing
It is important to note that there are times when I and others have encountered heightened paranormal activity which can be disturbing if you do not know the source of the activity and why it is occurring in a jarring way. The sources of these disturbances tend to be a being in spirit who has not crossed over into Heaven, and they may cause stronger activity that come across as frightening, such as slamming doors or breaking objects. These souls, who have not crossed over into Heaven, are temporarily stuck between dimensions and are frustrated with their situation. They mean you no harm and are not upset with you. They are in your presence because you are open to the energies of souls in spirit, whether you are aware of that or not. They are desperate to get your attention in order to receive help in crossing over to the Other Side. There are many reasons why a soul does not cross over right away, such as not believing they belong in Heaven because of what they were taught on Earth or because they feel they have not completed tasks on Earth. What they need is compassion and assistance to cross over fully into Heaven. Whenever I come across souls in this situation, I help them by reopening the gateway and calling in the Archangels to help them transition from this world to the next. If you are experiencing disturbing paranormal activity, it is a good idea to check with a professional spirit medium to have them look into the activity to determine who it is and what needs to be done. Just telling these souls to leave will not work. If they could leave on their own, they would. It is also important to note that souls who are stuck between worlds are not necessarily tied to a particular location on Earth. Where they decide to hang out has to do with their connection with the people there or the location itself. Their presence is usually accompanied by a heavy or negative feeling due to their frustration and heavier energies of the Earth which have not been fully shed for the higher and lighter vibrational energies which accompany souls in Heaven. Again, these are not poltergeists or demons, but souls in a frustrating situation who need assistance crossing over to the Other Side.

It Is All About Love

In essence, when you are experiencing paranormal activity, it is most likely your own loved ones in spirit letting you know they are around. Their paranormal activities usually increase around important events, occasions, and holidays, as well as when you are going through challenging times. In addition, about a week or two before and a week or two after you see a spirit medium for a reading, they increase their activities because they are excited about being able to bring through direct messages and communications to you.

Our world is an amazing place that is so much more than what is perceived on the surface. The good news is, that it all revolves around the love that connects each and every one of us through the hearts of our spirits. The next time you experience unusual or paranormal activity ask, with your thoughts, who it is in spirit who is responsible for the activity. Whoever you think of first is who it is. Say hello and thank them for their presence. They love it when you recognize their signs and they love they send.
