Messages in Music from Loved Ones in Spirit

Music is an incredible blending of sounds which taps into the power of our emotions. In addition to making us want to dance, laugh, cry, and more, it brings up memories that speak to our souls. Every day, we hear songs on the radio, jingles on TV, soundtracks from movies, streaming from the Internet, someone singing a song as they walk down the street, and in our mind. The songs may seem random; however, at times, they carry messages of import from the Other Side.

The Music Around Us

Have you ever had a song play in your vicinity that matches what you were thinking at that very moment or reminds you of a loved one in spirit? Is it a coincidence or is it your loved ones in spirit sending you a message? More often than not, it is our loved ones in spirit helping us with our lives or letting us know they are around. There are no coincidences in this world. Our loved ones in spirit often use music to communicate with us.

Music That Plays in Your Head

When you have a song that is playing in your head, have you ever wondered why you are hearing it? The song, as well as the lyrics, may be providing you with an answer to help you with your life. The music is being sent by your loved ones in spirit. It is one of the ways they can get direct messages to you without using a spirit medium.

Messages in the Music

Pay attention to the lyrics of songs that play in your head. If you do not know all the lyrics, search for them online by typing in the word “lyrics” then whatever words you have. You will find the song because they are using your music, not theirs, to get the messages through. When it is a song that reminds you of a loved one, that is their way of letting you know they are around. When it is your music, they are trying to give you an answer or guidance. It is helpful to try to remember what you were thinking about right before the music started playing in your head as the music often contains their message to you about that situation. One of my favorite examples is when I booked a 3-day expo in Maryland but then had a slight feeling of foreboding about it. I went outside and sat on my bench out front and asked my loved ones in spirit if I should cancel the booking. At first, I did not receive an answer, so I decided to go back in the house. As I was walking into the house I heard the lyrics, “when it’s time to change, it’s time to rearrange,” from The Brady Bunch show playing in my head. I stopped in my tracks and realized they wanted me to cancel the booking. I did and it was a good thing, too. As it turned out, there was a hurricane which blew through the expo that weekend. No one got hurt, but all the booths were destroyed. I have certainly learned to listen to the intuitive feelings and messages in the music I receive, and I hope you do, too, from here on out. As a note, if you were thinking about when a particular outcome would happen, such as when you would get a job, and you are hearing a song which highlights a time of year, it is not the lyrics, but the timing they are providing. For instance, if you are hearing “The Monster Mash,” the timing would be October because it is a Halloween song.

Memories and Knowing Loved Ones in Spirit Are Around

Songs may turn your thoughts toward memories of a deceased loved one. For instance, when I hear the Beatles’ song “Michelle” in my head, I know that my best friend, Michele, who passed away more than two decades ago, is nearby and sending me her love. At other times, when I was struggling with a particularly vexing issue, I would hear “All You Need Is Love,” again, by the Beatles’. It was being sent by Michele, as we loved listening to them together, and it was her way of making me smile knowing she was sending me her love.

Important Note

It is important to note that loved ones in spirit will never send you any messages telling you to hurt yourself or anyone else. They are there to help you, not to bring harm. Also, if they have a sense of humor, they will use that to make you laugh or to lighten up the mood for you.

Loving the Messages in Music

The more you pay attention to the messages your loved ones in spirit send through music, the more they will use it to let you know they are around or to help you with your life. Enjoy the music and the messages!

Finding Moments of Serenity in a Challenging World

Between the seeming mountains of responsibility, the complicated relationship dynamics, and an inordinate amount of negativity on the internet and television, it can seem like an insurmountable task to find serenity within our souls. While we are here to learn lessons for our souls, we do not have to take the hard road or get swallowed up by the less than wonderful moments in our lives. Nor do we need to expose ourselves to other people’s agendas that are based on fear rather than love. We can choose to find the positive reasons for negative circumstances – yes, they do exist, and if you look for them, you will find them. We can also choose to carve out moments of happiness for ourselves to keep us going, lighten our hearts, and create joyful memories we can call upon when times get rough.

Events on Earth Can Be Frustrating

As you know, we do not always get what we want, when we want it. This can be frustrating at best and crushing at worst. It is the human ego within us demanding that our needs and wants are immediately met. Unfortunately, we are often disappointed when this does not occur. What can we do to ride out the storm while retaining hope for the future? Often, it takes a reminder that the circumstances we face have to do with soul contracts put in place prior to our birth. These contracts dictate the lessons we will learn for our souls while residing on Earth. Since Heaven is a very happy place, it is challenging for us to learn the hard and fast lessons that life on earth offers. That is why we face obstacles and trying circumstances here. This does not mean, though, that our lives are meant to be devoid of happiness. We are meant to overcome the challenges we face with love and hope, as well as the understanding that there are important reasons for events to occur. Sometimes we need to gather our inner strength to have patience and faith in beneficial outcomes.

Finding the Reasons

When I find myself becoming frustrated with trying circumstances, I remind myself to step back and stop worrying. God and the angels know what we need, and they will provide it when the time is right for us. When I look back on my life, I can see how events lined up to bring me to where I am today.  I can also understand why certain circumstances had to occur when they did because they gave me the skills I needed for future endeavors. When I was going through tough times, it was difficult for me to understand the positive reasons for their occurrence. It is only through time and thoughtful examination that the true, positive reasons revealed themselves to me. However, I had to look for them. If I were to allow myself to get lost in negative thoughts, it would be very hard for me to ever see the positive meanings behind any circumstances.

Relinquish Control and Breathe

By letting go of our desire to control certain outcomes, we clear the way for the universe to step in and deliver improved circumstances. This does not mean we give up. It means getting out of our own way when the path is not clear. When situations become overwhelmingly challenging, try to relinquish control of how you want events to go, focus on what you can do, and open your mind to different solutions. Repeated fretting and worrying about what may or may not happen does not change circumstances. Try to focus on the present moment and solutions you can put into action instead of focusing solely on the problems. A great way to bring your focus back to the present is to simply breathe. Place your hands on the heart of your spirit (center of your chest) and concentrate on your breath as you inhale in through your nose. Envision positive energy flowing in as the air flows into your body. Take a brief pause, then exhale through your mouth while envisioning the release of negative energies. Your breathing should sound like an ocean wave. You can even envision an ocean wave as you use this exercise to relax and refocus. This “Finding Your Center” meditation is great to use for calming anxieties, focusing your energy on the present, and helping you speak from the heart.

You Are Given the Power to Succeed

When God wants you to do something, you will be given the abilities, the strength of will, and the resources to do it. It just may not be in the form you think. Our Archangels and guides are working hard to place us in situations designed to help us grow and learn as souls, while also providing situations that motivate and encourage us on our paths. It is quite amazing to see how events in our lives build upon one another, leading us to the next steps and providing us with the experience we need for the future.

Serenity is Vital to Your Path

It is important for your overall wellbeing to create moments of serenity, especially when you feel most anxious or harried by the events of life. Remember, you have an incredible team of heavenly beings that love and support you. It is their desire to help guide you to the best possible paths for you. You can help them with their efforts by learning how to create and invite moments of calm in your life. It is in the stillness that you are most receptive to the guidance that can lead you out of the darkness and into the light.

Uplift Your Soul with Easy Meditations

In today’s world, it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of every day life. The responsibilities pile up, demanding our attention, leaving little time to relax and unwind. It is important to our overall well-being to find the time to take a break from the mundane tasks of the day, as well as any worries and stress that have accumulated. Meditation, no matter how brief, can uplift our souls by providing our minds, bodies, and spirits with a recharge that can boost our productivity, creativity, and energy.

Meditation comes in many forms. Many people think meditation means sitting in silence trying to still your thoughts or chanting “Om” while sitting cross-legged on the floor. These are forms of meditation that can be very useful; however, it takes a lot of practice to learn how to clear your mind of thoughts, and even when you do, it may only last for seconds at a time. 

The forms of meditation I would like to share are easier to fulfill and may also bring much more enjoyment. Any time we let go of worries and concerns and turn our focus toward pleasant activities, we are meditating. For instance here are some of my favorite ways to meditate:

  • Breathe – Taking a few deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth while concentrating on your breath is a simple way to meditate. You can also place your hands over your heart as you do this and release any thoughts you have about your concerns and worries. Concentrate on your breath and your heart. As you breathe, your breaths should sound like the ocean waves.
  • Nature – Enjoy time in nature. Go for a walk, hike, or jog. Breathe in the air, listen to the birds, and try to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Taking a break near water, such as the ocean, a lake, or a creek, can bring peace to your soul.
  • Exercise – Get your body moving. Focusing on fitness helps to get the blood flowing and releases happy endorphins. When you add music to the mix, you can be transported by the tunes as your body moves. Dancing is a wonderful way to meditate.
  • Creativity – Draw, paint, and create. Take your mind off your worries and concerns by creating a work of art
  • Gardening – Planting flowers to beautify your surroundings or vegetables to provide homegrown food. A lot of personal satisfaction can be achieved from growing your own plants. It is wonderful to care for them and to watch them grow. This not only is a method of meditation, but also assists the earth and helps you to ground your energies.
  • Reading, Watching a Movie, or Playing a Game – Reading and watching movies has a way of transporting us to another world in healthy ways. A family fun night with movies or games also helps with bonding and the creation of positive memories.
  • Energy Healing or Massage – Reiki energy healing is a wonderful form of meditation that cleanses your energy centers and provides positive benefits for your mind, body, and soul. Treating yourself to a massage helps you to relax and unwind, and may include additional benefits when you include seaweed wraps, facials, and more. Self-care equates to a healthier you.
  • Cleaning – This one might not sound like fun; however, I have found that immersing myself in a task such as cleaning gives my mind a rest as I concentrate on the tasks at hand. Plus, organizing your belongings may create a more relaxed space.
  • Spend Time with Loved Ones – When we take the time to play with children or pets, or spend time with those we love, it can be a form a meditation, as long as we are living in the moment and letting go of our stress and worries. Have fun and enjoy the people you love by participating in activities that bring joy to all of you.
  • Meditation Journeys or Guided Meditation – A guided meditation is one that can take you on a journey in your mind to help you relax and unwind, to meet up with your loved ones in spirit and the angels, and more. You can participate in person or by listening to a recording.

As you can see, there are many ways in which you can relax and unwind. It is important to give yourself time for self-care and reenergizing your mind, body, and spirit. Do your best to incorporate some form of mediation into your day.

30 Ways to Spiritually Ease Your Mind of Worries and Fears

The human mind is an amazing source for all our emotions and thoughts, the functioning of our physical body, and much more. It is also the home of the human ego, which is a mechanism put in place as an obstacle meant to present us with challenges in our lives. While it can encourage us to keep striving to do better, it can also provide negative messages which can have the opposite effect. At times, it is the negative voice in your head trying to convince you that events will not work out to your advantage, that you are not good enough to succeed, and a whole host of other negative thoughts and statements that are illusions born out of fears, worries, and regrets.

The human ego is persuasive and persistent with its messages. It can be difficult to tune it out when it tries to drum out positive thoughts with a relentless interjection of worries, fears, and regrets that play in your head. It is possible to learn how to minimize the negative voice of the human ego and release yourself from its hurtful and time-wasting mind chatter. Here are some ways that may help you to open your mind to the wonderful possibilities present in your life every day:

  1. Know the negative voice of the human ego is skilled at providing illusions meant to veer you off track and block you from achieving your dreams. Acknowledge the negative thoughts by thanking your ego for its input and letting it know they are not necessary, and then replace the negative thoughts with positive affirmations about yourself or your circumstances.
  2. Focus on the present. You are safe and you are loved at this moment. Count the blessings you have, no matter how big or small.
  3. Have confidence in your ability to overcome adversity. You have done so in the past and you will do so again.
  4. Make a gratitude list of everything you are thankful for, including all the beautiful qualities you possess that make you who you are.
  5. Know that every situation, no matter how negative, has a positive reason for occurring. Keep looking for the positive reasons and you will find them. You may not recognize them right away, but your guys and gals in heaven know you are searching for answers and will send epiphanies your way when you are ready to accept them. The more you practice this, the faster the epiphanies will come to you. This will also help clear your mind of worries and fears while helping you recognize workable solutions.
  6. Review your life and see how circumstances seemed to miraculously line up for you. Can you recognize how one situation led to another and how you benefited from the progress you made? Once you can recognize this, you are more likely to relax when circumstances appear to be challenging because you will have learned that situations have a way of working out¾sometimes better than you had ever imagined.
  7. When you are struggling with a particular situation and your stress levels are through the roof, surrender your grief and troubles to God. God wants us to ask for help and God can help us during both good times and challenging times. By asking for help and handing your problems up to God, you are surrendering your attachment to a particular outcome. This does not mean you are giving up. It means you are asking for the best resolution for you and all involved, whatever that may entail. God and your guys and gals in heaven have a much bigger picture than you do regarding your life. When you let go of continually striving for particular outcomes, you open yourself up to guidance into better outcomes than you could have imagined.
  8. Be patient, trust in the circumstances you are in, and wait for situations to unfold. Too often, the human ego creates a feeling of steady insistence for situations to go only the way we want them to go. By pushing to have your way, you may be closing yourself off from better solutions. God knows what you need, even if you do not recognize it yourself. By letting go of what you think you need, you may open the door to magnificent opportunities. Learn how to sit back and relax while waiting for instructions through repeated messages and signs from your guys and gals in heaven.
  9. Meditation is a powerful tool for helping the mind, body, and spirit return to simplicity. Put on soft instrumental music, sit or lie down in a comfortable position, and focus on your breath and the heart of your spirit. Doing so gives your mind, body, and soul the opportunity to relax and be more open to positive solutions from your Heavenly Support Team.
  10. Know that the events in your life are guided and orchestrated by life plans, also known as soul contracts. These contracts contain high-level agreements made prior to your birth on earth to experience certain lessons for your soul. Even though the lessons are chosen, the way they are presented in your life is determined once you are here on earth. One of the reasons for this is the gift of free will. You choose how you react to situations, which also determines how you move through lessons. The pace which you learn is unique to you. Therefore, events are facilitated on earth based on your progress, as well as the progress of those around you. Often, the soul contracts of multiple people are tied into one event that is orchestrated on earth. The facilitation of this process is absolutely amazing.
  11. Know you are loved and supported by God and the angels. They have your best interests at heart and will do what they can without interfering with lessons that need to be learned.
  12. Learn how to trust God. Sometimes, pain and frustration regarding situations may cause a loss of faith in God and your life plan. One of my most important lessons had to do with learning how to trust in the circumstances I am in, as well as placing my absolute trust in God. The reward is peace and a more relaxed outlook on life (less stress, worry, and needless fears).
  13. Learn how to recognize and understand the signs and messages your guys and gals in heaven send you on a daily basis. By connecting with the spiritual side of your nature, you will more readily recognize and benefit from the assistance you receive when navigating your life.
  14. No matter what the circumstances, know that God is not punishing you or testing you. There is no doubt that life on earth can be very challenging. We agreed to come down here to learn lessons in a hard and fast way. Sometimes our greatest challenges can turn out to be our greatest triumphs. Again, keep looking for the positive in negative situations.
  15. Create a support team of friends and trusted people you can go to when you need a helping hand. Asking for help when you need it and offering it to others helps you to acknowledge one of the fundamental reasons we exist – to love and be loved. No person is an island. We all need help from time to time, and a healthy balance of give and take in your relationships will help all involved through the rough patches.
  16. Know you will be given everything you need to fulfill your destiny.
  17. you are in control of you and only you. You cannot control the events that occur in your life, nor can you control how others behave. The only control you have is over your reaction to those events. You decide through thoughts, actions, and words how events will affect you. Remember, happiness is a choice, and your thoughts determine the paths you will take and the lessons you will learn.
  18. Talk to God every day about the good and the challenging. God is right there in your heart, ready to listen and send love when you need it. Who is better to talk things over with than the one who created you and has your best interests at heart?
  19. Learn to truly love who you are with honest acceptance and acknowledgement of the unique and beautiful soul you are.
  20. Remind yourself that most of your worries have never come true.
  21. Instead of letting your mind drift to the worst possible outcomes, work on visualizing the best outcomes or more positive outcomes. Try not to be too hard on yourself. This takes practice.
  22. If there is a positive action you can take, follow through with it. If you are unable to do so, let the situation go and trust you are receiving help from above.
  23. Spiritual timing and what we deem as necessary timing for events can be two different things. God knows what you need and when you need it.
  24. Do not lose sight of the love you do have in your life, including self-love, love of others, love from pets.
  25. Engage in self-care. Take care of you and participate in activities that bring you joy.
  26. Take a break from negativity. If you find yourself becoming stressed out from negative news on the television, Internet, or social media, take a break from it. While it is good to remain knowledgeable about current events, it may be healthier for your mind, body, and spirit to balance negativity with positive stories and activities.
  27. Be kind to yourself and others. Treat yourself and others the way you would like to be treated. Random and planned acts of kindness uplift your soul and state of mind. Moreover, your thoughtful acts may mean the world to someone in need.
  28. When facing challenges, it may be helpful to think in terms of “just for today.” By setting positive goals for yourself and focusing on the present, you are more likely to succeed. This will work for both short-term and long-term goals. For example, if you focus on short-term tasks related to your long-term goals, you will take steps each day toward your long-term goals.
  29. Know that miracles can and do happen each and every day¾and they can happen to you and those you love.
  30. Know that love is the soul reason for your existence.

How to Appreciate the Gift of You

Is your inner critic taking over? Are you having difficulty with a slew of negative thoughts in your head about yourself?

The Negative Voice of the Human Ego

There are times when we are very hard on ourselves. This is caused by the human ego, which is the seat of our fears and worries. It is not the ego that says, “I am better than everyone else.” That is conceit. There is a big difference between that and the human ego which was put in place as a challenge to help us grow as souls. There can be good that comes from the negative voice of the human ego as it may push us to do better; however, it can also work against our greater good when we mentally beat ourselves up with negative thoughts about ourselves. It can be easy for thoughts to sneak in, especially when we are tired, that we may call ourselves “stupid” for making a simple mistake. Catching ourselves doing this and replacing that thought with two uplifting or positive thoughts helps, as does being mindful about treating ourselves with love. Changing your mindset about how you feel about yourself goes a long way toward lessening the effects of the human ego. On an important note, if you are experiencing repetitive negative thoughts about yourself or are struggling with great fears, worries, or anxiety that are keeping you from living your life in a meaningful way, it may be beneficial to speak with a professional psychologist.

How to Counter Negative Thoughts

As mentioned above, replacing negative thoughts with positive ones helps us appreciate ourselves. To remind you of the beautiful soul you are, it is helpful to take time out to appreciate who you are and all the accomplishments that you have achieved during your time here on Earth. It takes a conscious effort to turn your thought patterns around because negative thinking can become a habit. It pushes its way into our lives every day, but we can choose to deflect it and even step beyond the clouds that hover in order to see the light of our own souls. There are other ways to strengthen how we view ourselves.

Creating the Gift of You List

Once you are in a state of calm, think about what you have accomplished in your life and the kindnesses you have extended and received, as well as the moments that made you feel good about yourself. Write them on your list. Be honest. This list is for you, not anyone else. Keep the entire list positive. If any negative thoughts intrude, push the mind chatter of the human ego away and get back to your list. Once you get going, I think you will be amazed at what your list reveals.

Active Reminders

Whenever negativity intrudes or you are feeling particularly blue, pull out your list to remind yourself of the good times for which you are grateful. Keep the list growing by adding your accomplishments, as well as positive life-altering events and moments that have brought you joy and happiness. The list will keep growing as your soul evolves.

Let the Light Rule

Even though we are focusing on the positive, it is important to know that adversity and negativity does serve its purpose. It may have even led to some of the more important and happy times in your life by clearing away that which is no longer useful or by pushing you to go beyond your perceived limits to help you achieve your dreams. Without darkness, there would be no light. A problem occurs when we let darkness rule our lives and thoughts, making it seem as if negative experiences are the expected norm in our lives. They are not. All experiences can be learned from and utilized for good. By making a list of your accomplishments, as well as positive attributes and moments, you are giving yourself the opportunity to see and appreciate all your life experiences and the gift of you.

Messages in Music from Loved Ones in Spirit

When we hear music, it is not a jumble of sounds and words mashed together, but an incredible blending of sounds designed to reach out and touch our souls. Music is a powerful emotional stimulator. It can make us laugh, cry, want to dance, etc. Moviemakers use it all the time to stir our emotions while watching a film.  Every day, we hear songs on the radio, jingles on TV, soundtracks from movies, streaming from the Internet, someone singing a song as they walk down the street, and in our mind. The songs may seem random; however, at times, they carry messages of importance from the Other Side.

Have you ever had a song come on the radio that matches exactly what you were thinking at that very moment or that expresses exactly how you feel about a particular situation in your life? Is it a coincidence or is it your loved ones in spirit sending you a message? There are no coincidences in this world and our loved ones in spirit love to use music to help us with our lives. It is not only music you hear outside of yourself, but also in your mind that they use to bring messages directly to you.

Signs from Loved Ones in Spirit Through Music

Often, our loved ones in spirit orchestrate events for us to hear music outside of ourselves that remind us of them. As mentioned, there are no coincidences. They work hard to send signs not only through music, but also signs you see, feel, hear, taste, and smell. These signs are their way of letting you know they are around, sending you love and comfort. For example, my dad who is in Heaven, often uses Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” to send a dual message. The first part is to let me know he is with me. The second part is to tell me to keep believing in Heaven and all the extraordinary reasons for our existence, as well as the love and support that comes from my entire Heavenly Support Team.

When I received devasting news from the veterinarian about my kitten, Panther, the first song that came on when I got back in my vehicle was “Don’t Stop Believing.” It was very comforting to know my dad was with me at that very moment. Your loved ones in spirit do this for you, too. They will use songs that remind you of them, and they may also contain dual messages.

Messages from Loved Ones in Spirit Through Music

Loved ones in spirit also use music to bring direct messages to you through the lyrics. In this case, they use the music you know and have it play in your mind. When you have a song that is playing in your head, have you ever wondered why you are hearing it? The song, as well as the lyrics, often provide you with answers to help you with your life or to let you know how they are doing in Heaven. When hearing music playing in your head, look up the lyrics. The song lyrics may bring up memories of a particular time of year (which may be your answer as to when an event will occur, or when your problem will be resolved) or it may be providing you with an actual answer to your problem.

Songs also may turn your thoughts toward memories of a deceased loved one. For instance, when I hear the Beatles’ song “Michelle” in my head, I know that my best friend, Michele, who passed away more than three decades ago, is nearby and sending me her love. At other times, when I was struggling with a particularly vexing issue, I would hear “All You Need Is Love” by the Beatles. That is Michele’s way of bringing a smile to my face and reminding me to get back to what really matters, the giving and receiving of love. It is very important to note that loved ones in spirit will never send any music telling you to hurt yourself or others. They are all about love and being helpful through their messages.

Paying Attention to the Music

By becoming more aware of your personal soundtrack of music, that which you hear in your mind or that drifts into your ears at just the right time, will enable you to better recognize the auditory messages and signs from your loved ones in spirit.
