Just in time for Halloween! Paint, sip, relax, and enjoy an evening with Spirit Medium Karen T. Hluchan at Painting with a Twist in Warrington, PA!

Escape for 2 hours of fun art with a lively discussion with Karen about Heaven, what happens when we cross, over, how spirit communication works, and more. The evening will be capped off with a 1-hour gallery-style reading in which Karen will bring through loved ones in spirit of those in attendance. Even though readings are random and there is no guarantee that you will receive a direct message from the Other Side, it’s a fun and entertaining event not to be missed. There will be interesting themes from loved ones coming through and messages within the messages which benefit those in attendance.

The painting for this evening will be a black cat strolling on a 16″x20″ canvas (as shown in the image).

Invite friends and bring your favorite beverage and snacks. Painting with a Twist will provide all your painting supplies and instructions. No art experience is necessary. The Painting with a Twist artist will guide you to complete your own work of art, which you’ll get to take home at the end of this class.

Please arrive 10-20 minutes before the class scheduled painting time to get checked in and setup. Development Circle for Students

Each month, Karen hosts a Development Circle in Horsham, PA for students of her mediumship and tarot workshops to explore various topics and to practice their skill sets. The Development Circle offers students an opportunity to continue to grow their knowledge while in the company of like-minded individuals on a spiritual path.

Lotus - A New BeginningPast practice sessions included tarot readings, angel readings, spirit medium readings, animal communication, meditation journeys, and more. Students choose the topics and take turns opening the Circle in order to increase confidence and experience.

The prerequisite for joining the Development Circle is to have participated in at least one of Karen’s mediumship or tarot workshops, as this is a continuing education opportunity for students trained in evidential mediumship and intuitive tarot reading.

Can Loved Ones in Spirit See Us from Heaven?

When our loved ones in spirit cross over into Heaven, there is an amazing transformation which takes place. Not only are their souls released from their physical bodies and continue on in energy form, but they also gain great insight into the inner workings of Heaven and Earth. Knowledge is revealed about the purposes of their lives, why events occurred the ways they did, and the lessons contained within their soul contracts. Through the process of gaining greater understanding of reasons for events on earth, they often volunteer to help their loved ones who are still there. The love which connected souls while on earth is a bond that remains between souls. Because of this, our loved ones in spirit can gain access to our lives from the other plane in order to help guide us and provide assistance when they can.

Watching Over Us as Guardian Angels

Once in Heaven, our loved ones in spirit can volunteer to be our guardian angels. By volunteering for this job, they agree to watch over us and help us when needed. This does not mean, though, that they can interfere with lessons we need to learn for our souls. They can assist us by providing signs and messages to help us to navigate our lives, steer us toward positive opportunities through urges to take action, and help avert certain events. All actions they take are orchestrated in tandem with our soul contracts, which are overseen by the Archangels who grant permission for the assistance. In order to help us, guardian angels need to be able to see events which are occurring, as well as understand events from the past which influence our decisions and be given glimpses into potential future events.

Past Life Pavilion

Loved ones in spirit who volunteer to be guardian angels can visit the Hall of Records where all Akashic Records are stored. These records contain information about our past lives and current lives, including the soul contracts we agreed to prior to life on earth. When visiting the Hall of Records, guardian angels can enter the Past Life Pavilion to learn more about us and what motivates the actions we take in order to better assist us on earth. These actions are performed with love and should not be viewed as an invasion of privacy. It comes from the desire to help through a deeper understanding of who we are as souls.

While bringing through communications from loved ones on the Other Side, also known as a reading, the loved ones in spirit have shown me specific scenes from the past in which they were not present for but have greatly affected the recipient of the reading. They show these scenes to indicate their knowledge of the past events, as well as to assist with any residual circumstances currently affecting the recipient.

Additionally, loved ones in spirit often like to share scenes of events which have occurred since they have passed in order to demonstrate not only their awareness of the events, but also that they were present in spirit when the events took place. The events shown range from simple occurrences, such as the purchase of new décor for the home or the habit of speaking to the photograph of a loved one in spirit, to more complex situations, such as the outcomes of lawsuits over their estates and actions taken by the parties involved.

Loved Ones in Spirit are Around You More than You Think

Even if you are not aware of their presence, loved ones in spirit are around you quite often. It is important to note that they do respect your privacy, especially those times of intimate behaviors which are not meant for public viewing.

All loved ones in spirit can see us from the Other Side, not just those who have volunteered to be guardian angels. They love us and want to know how we are doing. Loved ones in spirit often visit us on earth to let us know they are around and that they love us. They use signs to let you know they are around, such as visual images and music which reminds you of them, scents in the air, cravings for food they used to cook, and feeling their presence. They also check in on other living family members, including significant others, children, and grandchildren, even if they did not have a chance to meet them while they were alive. They are certainly aware of their presence and importance in your life.

Loved ones in spirit can be in more than once place at a time and can quickly move from one place to another because they are in energy form. When giving a reading over the phone, they often provide me with images showing the location of the recipient, including the layout of the room, specific furniture or knick-knacks and more. They do this to let the recipient know they are there with them, even though their communications are being received by me.

Messages about the Future

Loved ones in spirit who are guardian angels can also provide information about events which will be occurring in the future. They view these in the Hall of Records or are provided the information by the Archangels or God. Loved ones in spirit provide details to the affected parties through dreams and visions, as well as through communications with spirit mediums. It is very important to note that they cannot and will not show every occurrence that will happen in our lives. There are several reasons for this:

  • Some events are destined while others are based on freewill decisions and our current path. When we agree to life lessons in our soul contracts before we are born, they are written in outline form. Events are then orchestrated on earth in real time to help us learn those lessons. If we do not learn a particular lesson, circumstances will be repeated in different ways until we do. Therefore, some future events may change based on our freewill decisions.
  • When revealing glimpses of the future, guardian angels must be given permission to share these pieces of information. Permission is granted by the Archangels only when the information will not interfere with our life lessons.
  • If guardian angels showed us everything about our lives, there would be no purpose for us to be here. We all have lessons to learn which require us to make freewill decisions. They can attempt to assist us; however, they cannot show us everything because it may influence actions or reactions which are critical to our learning process.

Taking Comfort in Their Presence

Our loved ones in spirit, especially those who have volunteered to be guardian angels, love to help us with our lives. The love we share with them bonds us together through the hearts of our spirits. Even though they are enjoying their time in Heaven, they know life on earth can be challenging and they want to be there for us to assist in any way they can. Their presence in our lives is a comforting one, as it fosters the love between us and gives proof of our souls’ existence beyond life on earth. Pay attention to the signs and the patterns which reveal their presence in your life. Your angels and loved ones are there for you and are doing their best to provide guidance and opportunities for your spiritual growth.

How Heavenly Beings Help You Every Day

Have ever had a hunch or received a thought that let you know in advance of an event that is going to occur? Have you ever found yourself in the perfect place at the perfect time? There are no coincidences in this world. Whether you are consciously aware of it or not, your Heavenly Support Team, made up of God, the Archangels, guardian angels, past spiritual masters, spirit guides, and loved ones in spirit, help you with your life every day. They do this through repetitive external signs, strong urges, and messages sent through the invisible network that connects all of us to them, as well as every being.

Magic Occurs Every Day

There is magic in this world. Our guys and gals in Heaven help to orchestrate events in our lives in order to help us to better navigate this world. They do it because they love us and want to help us. Even though they are in Heaven, they know life on Earth can be challenging. They enjoy the benefits of Heaven, but also use their wonderful access to knowledge about our lives from the Akashic Records in the Hall of Records to give us a heads up or steer us into situations which will benefit us and those around us. We are not alone in this world. We have entire teams of beings who help us from the Other Side.

Opening Up to the Amazing Guidance

To access this extraordinary information, you need to remain open to the possibilities. The more you live your life in the present and pay attention to the world around you, the more you will receive the signs and messages, as well as understand the guidance. Moreover, learning about how your Heavenly Support Team communicates with you will help you to decipher what they are trying to share with you. The language of spirit-to-spirit communication is one of the senses, both earthly and extrasensory. We are all born with these earthly and extrasensory senses. You can learn how to access them by educating yourself about the language of the soul.

All Senses are Utilized – Earthly and Extrasensory

On Earth, we rely mainly on our physical senses – seeing, feeling, hearing, smelling, and tasting – to navigate the world around us. The stimulus around us sends signals to our brains to help us interpret the information. For example, when you smell a rose, the scent molecules your nose inhales send signals to the receptors in your brain. Simultaneously, your eyes see the rose and, if you reach out and touch it, your fingers feel it. All of this information is transmitted to your brain, pieced together, and filed within your mind to form a memory. When you encounter this flower again or have an experience that triggers this memory, your mind brings forth the files providing recognition of this previously encountered flower.

Extrasensory senses mirror our physical senses; however, the information is received internally through the invisible network that connects us all. Instead of external stimuli, the information is seen within the mind’s eye, felt within the body, heard within the mind, and smelled and tasted internally. There is an additional extrasensory sense, which is claircognizance or clear-knowing. This consists of information that is known within and emerges without previous thought.

Many people receive psychic or intuitive messages; however, they may not understand where the information comes from. Awareness of how the information is being received helps in the educational process about spirit to spirit communication along the invisible network which connects us to all beings in existence.

Telepathic Connections

The easiest way to give a basic understanding of spirit communication is to think of it as a telepathic connection. When you are very close to another human being or animal on earth, you can receive impressions which may provide insight into the other person and what they may be doing at a particular time. The energetic impressions and information is sent through the invisible network at the heart of each of our spirits. The same is true for spirit to spirit communication. The information is received through your internal extrasensory senses. Because the means of communication differs from earthly means (speaking and body language), there are deeper nuances and symbols which are used to convey information. It is like an abstract puzzle which needs to be pieced together using all of your earthly and extrasensory senses.

Messages You Hear – Clairaudience

You may receive a thought that does not feel like it originated from you. Most of the time, it comes through in your own voice, but you know it is not a thought that originated from you.  Other times, it comes through in the voice of a loved one in spirit or an angel, which you may or may not be able to identify. The thoughts you receive are there to provide guidance and assistance with events in your life ranging from trivial to important. The messages never contain information about hurting yourself or others, as your Heavenly Support Team is all about love and positive assistance. It may be a one-word message or it may be a string of words providing guidance or direction about a situation you are experiencing. For example, when I was interested in purchasing a stand for my television, I kept hearing the word “Target.” I knew my guys and gals in spirit were directing me to go to the Target store to purchase the stand. I did purchase one on sale and in the next week, the price dropped even more. As an added bonus, I was able to collect the difference from the store for the deeper sale price.

Music that plays in your head is another way loved ones in spirit and the angels send you messages. When it happens, look up the lyrics. You can Google them by typing in the word “lyrics” and whatever words you are hearing. There is a message within those lyrics for you. Again, your Heavenly Support Team will never send messages telling you to hurt yourself or anyone else. Pay attention to what you were thinking about prior to the music playing in your head. If you were just wondering about a time frame for an event and you hear a song with a time or season reference, such as the Monster Mash (October) or Hot Fun in the Summer Time, they are giving you a heads up about when it will occur.

Getting a Feeling – Clairsentience

You may experience strong and repetitive urges to take positive action. When your guys and gals in spirit do this, they are trying to help steer you into a positive situation for you. For example, I kept getting a very strong urge to paint my bathroom as if you were immersed in the Caribbean Sea when you walked in. It was a project I had wanted to do, but the urge became so strong that I could no longer put it off. While I was in the middle of the project, one of my beloved pets crossed over to the Other Side. Painting a beautiful image is a form of meditation for me, and my guys and gals in spirit knew I needed to have a large project to work on to help me through the grieving process, and it did. There is a lot of love worked into the murals I painted and I know my Heavenly Support Team helped by providing healing and love while I painted.

There are other times in which you may have an urge to go to a specific location, such as the grocery store, only to run into a friend you have not seen in a long while, but had been thinking about. When you remain open to life, you can experience many wonderful adventures.

Seeing a Sign – Clairvoyance

Your Heavenly Support Team may also place repetitive visual clues in front of you to help you with your path. Years ago when I was thinking of heading back to college at night while working full-time, I started receiving post cards and mail from a nearby college. I had not applied for any colleges, nor did I ask for information to be sent. I also kept seeing billboards and references to this college on people’s cars, as well as verbal references which could not be mistaken. After looking into the college, it turned out to be an excellent option for me to take accelerated night courses. Your guys and gals in spirit do this for you, as well. They have the ability to place items in front of you and orchestrate events in such a way that it is hard to ignore.

Reading books about intuition and spirit communication, also known as mediumship, as well as taking classes, will help you learn about and make the most of the ways your Heavenly Support Team communicates with you. An open mind and an open heart, accompanied by knowledge, will open up amazing sources for assistance with your life path, as well as continued relationships with those who have crossed over into Heaven, and much more. Ascending to Heaven: Will We See People in Heaven We Do Not Want to See?

Light from Above

In one of my recent workshops about spirit communication, there was a discussion with my students about the many levels of Heaven and whether we see people we do not want to see in Heaven, such as someone who brought a lot of pain and grief to our life. In my quest to discover more about these topics, I asked my Heavenly Support Team for insight.

Discoveries Through Meditation

In the days following the workshop, I took myself on a meditation journey. My best friend, Al, who is in Heaven, came to me in spirit and began showing me, through an immersive experience, what happens when we ascend to Heaven. The process began with my soul lifting upward from my body. I immediately tuned in to a freeing feeling of complete weightlessness, as well as a cleansing, as though my soul was releasing all concerns and worries of the world I was leaving behind. As my soul rose toward the sky, there was a bright white light speckled with sparkling energy above me that filtered down to surround me in a soft haze. The density of the light gradually increased the higher I rose. As my soul floated closer to the source of light, an intense feeling of unconditional love and euphoria encompassed my being. It was greater than any feeling we experience here on earth. Even at the intensity level being shared with me, I had the distinct awareness that my guys and gals in spirit were only providing a fraction of the feelings which accompany an ascension to Heaven, not only because it was not my time to cross over, but also because they do not want me longing too much for Heaven when I have things to do here on earth.

As I reached the pinnacle of light, I knew I was reaching the stage at which people enter “the tunnel.” The journey through the tunnel is a time of positive reflection of our souls with God and the Angels, as well as a welcoming to Heaven. The amount of time we spend in the tunnel is unique to each soul; however, the impressions I have been provided through separate meditations and visions is that this is a comforting experience designed to help us transition to Heaven after life on earth. It includes a montage of happy memories from our time on earth, unique personal experiences with God and the Angels, and preparatory information about what to expect upon our arrival in Heaven.

In this vision, I did not go through the tunnel nor was I provided additional information about the experience. Instead, this particular journey seemed to fast-forward to my arrival in Heaven after the tunnel. With the white light still surrounding me, I saw a circular opening ahead which widened as I approached. It was filled with brilliant colors. As I got closer, I could see many of my loved ones in spirit on the other side of the opening. They were there to greet me upon my arrival to Heaven. Everyone in attendance was smiling and expressing joy and happiness at my homecoming.

The Gala Celebration

The imagery and impressions then morphed into the celebratory gala held in our honor after we cross over into Heaven. The gala is a magnificent reunion with all the people and animals whose lived we touched, as well as those who had a positive influence on our lives. Everyone was dressed in white clothing in styles that reflected the preferences of the person or being. Most of the people and animals appeared to me as a younger version of themselves, such as when they were in their prime on earth. Even though they were younger, I recognized them for who they were.

As I sat in the chair of honor on a raised dais, each being approached me one at a time to express their personal messages of how I affected their lives or how they affected mine. Love, understanding, and appreciation flowed with each heartfelt communication. There was music and a very jovial atmosphere at the gathering. As I looked around at those included in the gala, I asked my best friend in spirit, Al, if people we do not want to see will be at the gala, such as those who brought deep pain or anguish to our lives.

Why Forgiveness Matters

As a side note, in my lifetime, I have learned to release through forgiveness all the pain, anger, and upset toward those who have hurt me. Carrying the negative emotions only affected me, not the person who harmed me. It is important to note that forgiveness is not a condoning of someone’s actions. It means releasing the hold their actions had on my life and looking toward the positive lessons I learned through these experiences. I do not need to be in the presence of the person or people who hurt me to release through forgiveness. I send forgiveness from the heart of my spirit to theirs during meditation. It is a freeing experience that may need to be conducted more than once as situations can arise which bring all the emotions and memories to the forefront. When this happens, I re-release the forgiveness and again look toward the lessons I am to be learning or still need to learn through these experiences. Moving past the negativity helped me to recognize the reasons why I needed to learn particular lessons in order to become the person I am today. These lessons, which are written in my soul contract, were designed to instigate soul growth and evolution. As a result, when negative circumstances arise, I ask myself what I am supposed to be learning in order to recognize the higher purpose for the events.

Seeing Those You Might Not Want to See

Even though I have forgiven someone for their actions, it does not necessarily mean I want to spend time with them in Heaven or have them in attendance for the gala celebration. This is true for many people who have been on the receiving end of pain from someone in their lifetime. It is for this purpose the original question arose in the workshop. In answer to the question I posed to Al while at my gala celebration, he shifted the scene once again. This time, I was in one of my visions of my personal Heaven. It was the beautiful space I visualize myself in when I meditate and ask to speak with my Heavenly Support Team. It was a grassy meadow, lush with tall grasses swaying in the breeze, wildflowers in many hues, the sun shining with soft puffy clouds in the cornflower blue sky, and a tall, leafy maple tree offering shade over a comfortable bench. As I strolled up the path leading to the maple tree, a figure was approaching me. It was a person who had brought great pain to my life and the lives of others. As I stood on the path, I sensed I had in some way purposefully opened the door to this encounter. I had the distinct knowing that event was occurring after the gala celebration and after my life review, which is an objective look at the lessons I learned or need to continue to work on from the soul contract I agreed to prior to my lifetime on earth. This soul, who was not in attendance at the gala, was coming to me at a time when I was ready to objectively discuss the events which occurred between us on earth. There was a feeling of serenity and a willingness to allow the full healing of our souls through higher understanding.

Healing and Understanding

Throughout this experience, which is one of the many ways in which I receive information about the Other Side, the purpose of our existence, and what happens beyond life on earth, I was being granted glimpses of what happens to our souls as we cross over, as well as what happens after we transition to Heaven. The original question about the various levels of Heaven remains to be answered, while the second one about whether we see people we do not want to see was answered through this meditation journey.

The healing and understanding which takes place in Heaven provides answers for our souls. It enables us to see and appreciate the bigger picture regarding the purposes of our existence. This experience is not limited to Heaven. While on earth, if we look for the positive reasons behind negative circumstances and learn to forgive ourselves and others for our transgressions, whether big or small, we can achieve a state of profound understanding and inner peace. As human beings, we will continually face situations designed to help us grow; however, it is up to us whether we will learn or repeat patterns until growth is achieved in this lifetime or the next. As to whether we will see people we do not want to see in Heaven, yes, but only when our souls are ready for the healing which comes through higher understanding and knowledge.
