How to Interpret Your Dreams – Part One

DreamingThere are many books out there about dream interpretation, such as dream dictionaries, that try to help you to determine what your dreams are about. The problem with those dictionaries is that the definitions for the symbols and objects within the book may not ring true for you. The most effective way to interpret your dreams is to do it yourself, because only you know what the symbols mean to you.

There are many theories about what dreams really are…such as random images brought forth from our subconscious, etc. To me, dreams are an interesting phenomenon brought forth from our higher self, as well as from your Heavenly support team of deceased loved ones, the Angels, God, etc. Dreams utilize the myriad of images, feelings, and thoughts within our databank of memories to create story lines that are played out while we sleep. These seemingly random visions can be interpreted with an open mind and lots of practice, practice, practice.

Some of you may be thinking, “but I don’t dream.” Science has proven that we all dream several times per sleep session during the R.E.M cycle (see https://science.howstuffworks.com/life/what-are-dreams.htm for the scientific take on dreams). The reason we don’t remember them may have to do with when we wake up in our sleep cycles (see the previous link for information about dream cycles). However, I have found that if I make a conscious effort to remember them, I do remember at least one upon waking. In doing so, I am telling my body to wake up during the R.E.M. cycle. Before I go to sleep, I tell myself that I would like to remember my dreams upon waking. Don’t worry if it doesn’t happen right away, keep trying and you will succeed. You can also ask your Angels for help. They would be glad to assist you.

In preparation for my dream remembrance, I keep a notebook and a pen, my iPad or a voice recorder by my bedside. Having a readily available source for recording your dreams is important. Once you get up and start your day, the details of your dream may begin to fade fast. If you record it as soon as you wake up, you will be able to capture more detail.

When recording your dream, especially when you are writing it down, do not worry about grammar or spelling, just write down everything you can recall as quickly as possible. Think of it like James Joyce’s stream of consciousness…write it down however it comes to you with as much detail as possible.

The next action you take is to set it aside. Do not try to interpret your dream right away! Set it aside and forget all about it for a few hours or a day. When you are ready to pick it up again for interpretation, it is important for you to have an open mind because you are going to use word association to decipher your message.

Throughout this week, work on actively trying to remember your dreams. When you do, record them. Next week, I will be sharing with you methods for deciphering the messages that your dreams are conveying. Until then, happy dreaming!

Knowing You’re Not Alone on Your Journey Through Life

Looking Toward HeavenHave you ever felt as though you are all alone in this world, facing the challenges of life? I have felt that in my lifetime, especially when I was going through a particularly tough time. It felt as though there was no one around who understood what I was going through or who could be there for me to listen or to provide comfort. I have learned that throughout my trials and tribulations, I have never truly been alone…and neither are you. You have a support system in Heaven that comes from the Creator, the Angels, your Spirit Guides, Past Spiritual Masters, and deceased loved ones. They are there for you. They see your struggles and worries. They hear your prayers. They feel your pain and want to ease it for you. They also share your joy and happiness. In essence, they are there for you in good times and in bad.

You can reach out to your heavenly support system at any time through prayer in thought, said out loud, or in writing. Ask them for help with the situation at hand. They hear you and will do what they can to answer your prayers, as long are they are in accordance with your soul plan and greater good. If what you are praying for will ultimately cause you greater sadness and pain, or send you down a path that would do more harm than good, your heavenly support team will do their best to guide you to better opportunities that meet your true needs and desires. For example, if you are praying for the return of a lost love and that person doesn’t return right away, it may seem as though your prayers weren’t heard or answered…but they have, just not in the way that you may think.

Sometimes it takes time for prayers to be answered. The timing is not based on what we think is best, but on the perfect timing for the evolution of our souls. Sometimes, too, we may not get what we asked for because there is something better coming along for us. Even though we do not always recognize the help that is materializing from our heavenly team, we can help ourselves by having patience and an open mind about how our prayers will be answered. With the situation involving a lost love, God and the Angels know that what you are really asking for is someone who will love and appreciate you for who you are. That person may or may not be ready to do that at the time of your prayer and/or there may be lessons that each of you still need to learn before progress can be made. It can also be that you were only meant to be together to learn particular lessons and now you need to move on. Or, the timing may be perfect for your souls to reunite and they will return to you. We can assist in the answering of our prayers by being mindful about our actions and looking at our experiences to see what lessons we need to learn from them. By taking responsibility for ourselves in this way, we are actively playing an important role in our soul’s evolutional process.

Keep in mind that our support team in Heaven sees and knows much more than we do here on Earth. They know everything about us and what would be best for the evolution of our soul. Therefore, when you ask for help know that they are working on your behalf and that they send you their love. They are always there for you when you need them…all you have to do is reach out with your thoughts and prayers, knowing that your heart’s desires have been heard and will be answered with the perfect timing that is guided by your support team in Heaven. In the meantime, find your center, be at peace with yourself, and know that you are not alone on your journey through this lifetime.

Utilizing Your Intuition

Illumined MindThere are no coincidences…bumping into a friend at the grocery store, meeting a new person, being in the right place at the right time to land your dream job, winning the lottery, etc…these events occur as answers to our prayers, whether as a necessary step in the evolution of our souls or the actual realization of our dreams. We can utilize our intuition, the inner voice of knowing, to decipher the signs and events that are placed before us.

The circumstances that lead to seemingly coincidental situations are orchestrated by Spirit. When I say Spirit, I mean God, the Angels, our deceased loved ones, Past Spiritual Masters, and Spirit Guides. They provide us with “invisible” help as we go throughout our days. They speak to us through our intuition. Their timing, attention to detail, and orchestration of events is an amazing phenomenon that we experience every day, whether we are aware of their assistance or not. The more aware you are of the presence of Spirit in your life and the way that they operate, the more you can see the wonder of how they play a significant role in the evolution of your life.

Too often, we are told by naysayers that the mundane world is all there is – that the supernatural does not exist in this world and that miracles are rare occurrences that only happen to a select few. That is the chatter of the ego, the negative voice of our subconscious, that blocks us from the light and from seeing the wondrous world that exists beyond the ordinary surface of experience. We can choose to let our ego take over and give in to the belief that what you see is what you get or we can choose to break through the veil that covers our awareness in order to see the extraordinary that permeates our lives everyday.

Breaking through the veil means learning to perceive life in a different way. Learning how to utilize and listen to our intuition is a great place to start. There are many books out there about intuition; however, for people starting out on this path or looking to improve their skills, I usually recommend that they read “Practical Intuition” by Laura Day (Note: I have no affiliation with her or her book. I recommend it because it was very helpful for me.). Laura’s book helps you to recognize the signs around you and to retrain the way your mind processes the information it is receiving. The more you work with your intuition, the better you will become at reading the meaning of the signs, as well as their purpose.

If you feel that you are struggling with the concepts, feel free to ask your Angels for help. They will be glad to provide you with the assistance you need. Keep an open mind and have patience. Everything will come to you at the perfect time for your development. This does not mean that it will come at the time that you think is perfect, but what they determine as perfect. Remember, they see and know much more than we do. Have patience, be open, and know that help is on its way.

Enjoy your journey, whether you are just starting out or have been tuning into your intuition for years. An illumined mind that is attuned to the gift of intuition can reveal the threads that link your life purposes with those of others, while providing a map to guide your way.

What Happens When We Cross Over into Heaven?

Into the LightThrough my communication with Spirit, I have been given great insight into what happens to our own Spirit when our physical bodies expire here on earth. Every soul is given the opportunity to cross over into Heaven. Our way is lit by an incredible white light, shimmering with facets of rainbow colors that is almost blinding in its brilliance. The Spirit of those who have crossed over before us, as well as Angels, Spirit Guides and Past Spiritual Masters, may all be there to help us with our transition and to show us the way.

Once we have crossed, the veil is lifted and we are once again reunited with the knowledge and understanding that may have eluded us when we were in human form. We review our lives in a non-judgmental way to see how our soul progressed on its earthly journey. Forgiveness, healing, and compassion are extended to us and by us as we understand the reasons for why we acted the way we did and for the choices that we made.

Our soul continues to evolve while in Heaven but in a more joyous way. We learn new skills, volunteer for jobs and special assignments, and learn to exist within the peace and harmony that surrounds us as we await our reunions with members of our soul group – family, friends, and loved ones who have yet to cross over. Some may choose to come back to earth for more lessons; however, most choose to wait for the reunions with their soul groups before coming back again.

The souls on earth who, in great sadness and desperation, take their own lives, are also given the opportunity to cross over into Heaven. This does not mean that there is not an extremely high price to pay. I cannot express strongly enough that suicide is never the answer to life’s problems. Instead of a rejoicing reunion with loved ones who have already crossed over, these souls move forward to a place of great healing which I refer to as the “Spiritual Hospital” in Heaven. There is a tremendous amount of spiritual pain that must be healed when these troubled souls realize the extent of what they had lost out on by interrupting their soul’s carefully planned evolvement through life on earth. This is an incredibly wrenching experience for souls who were already deeply troubled while they were here. Help is given to them at the Spiritual Hospital for as long as it takes and, when they are ready, they are free to rejoin the rest of the population in Heaven for their reunions and continued soul growth.

Ultimately, we choose whether or not we want to travel through the doorway to Heaven. We all have free will, even when it comes to a decision such as that. Some of those who choose not to cross may do so out of fear, doubt, or confusion. There are many reasons for this. Some souls fear that others will not survive without them, they may doubt where they are being led, or they may be confused about the fact that they are no longer living on earth. This does not mean that the door to Heaven is closed to them. Once their particular door closes, these souls will then need assistance with their crossing, such as an opening provided when someone else crosses or with the help of a Medium. Until assistance arrives, they reside in Spirit between worlds and may be upset or confused. If you suspect that you have a Spirit such as this around you, it is best to contact a Medium who can help them cross over into the light.

The most important message that Spirit wants you to understand is that Heaven does exist. Take comfort in knowing that your Spirit continues on after your body ceases to exist here on earth. Live well and love during your time here on earth, knowing that all of your experiences here are for the evolution of your soul and that Heaven awaits when your Spirit is ready for its next destination.

How to Prepare for a Spirit Reading with a Medium

AngelWhen receiving messages from Spirit, it is important to keep an open mind. This is for both me and the recipient of the messages–you. I advise recipients of readings to not concentrate too hard on having one particular person come through because you never know who in Spirit has a message that they would like to pass on to you. Because Spirit sees more than we do, they know which messages you need to receive in your life at the time of the reading. If a particular person does not come through, it does not mean that they do not love you, it may mean that the time is not yet right for them to come through.

In addition, I ask people to not feed me too much personal information about themselves prior to a reading as it takes away the opportunity for Spirit to identify who they are to you. This is important because when I give a reading, I pass along the information that I receive from Spirit in order to validate their identity. The information is unique to you and your life. Spirit passes along information that I would not have in order for you to know that it is them and not me that is providing the messages to you.

Being the recipient of Spirit Medium reading is an extraordinary opportunity for you to receive information about your life, your loved ones, and Heaven. The messages that you receive are of personal importance to you and also for your loved ones here on earth.

It is truly a blessing and an honor to receive messages from Spirit, both for me and the recipients of the readings. I hope that if you ever have the opportunity to receive a reading from a Spirit Medium, that you, too, feel the reverence and importance of the blessing that you are receiving in your life.

Pets Go to Heaven, Too!

Take comfort in knowing that your pets go to Heaven. They will be there to greet you when it is your time to cross over. You’ll see them as they were at their best—youthful, healthy, and happy. I feel personal joy in knowing that I will have an entire menagerie to greet me when I reach the pearly gates, as I have been blessed with many wonderful animal companions in my life.

Orange and White CatAnimals enjoy the same delights of Heaven as people. They can run and play and be young again. Any pain or diseases that they suffered from in life are gone. My spirit guides and deceased loved ones have shown me that they are taking care of my pets while they await my ascension to Heaven. Your deceased loved ones do the same for your pets, keeping them company and sharing their love.

When I am giving a Spirit Reading, it is such a delight when pets come through for clients. Their love and joy is wonderful to experience. Pets are so excited to share their love for you. When they enter a reading, I usually feel their presence and shape next to me. At the same time, I may be receiving an image of what they looked like while on Earth. They send me love and feelings to share with you in the same way that Spirit shares them with me through impressions of emotions, thoughts, and visions. As with people who have crossed over, it is an incredible blessing to be able to pass along the messages that your pets have for you.

Although we often feel sadness when a person or pet’s life ends here on earth, we can take comfort in knowing that they are going to a happy place—that their spirits, as well as ours, live on beyond life on earth to enjoy the bounty and grace of Heaven. A just reward for living our lives to the best of our abilities, learning and growing from both the delightful and challenging experiences.
